Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Tree City Park
After taking a week for myself, I finally found the energy to go back outside and check out another park in Lake Mary, Florida. This time I found Tree City Park.

Tree City Park is like many green spaces that are in neighborhoods. Its a tiny quiet spot on a corner. Without digital maps, such a place would only be known to those who live nearby. And maybe not even then. After all, the entire reason I started this blog was after discovering how many parks were near where I lived that I had never seen.
Anyway, let’s talk about Tree City Park. At the center lies a playground that I was pleasantly surprised by. The builders committed to a theme. And that theme is nature. Mushroom stairs, tree icons on the ground, and several other items that follow this same idea. I’m always one to support creative expression. Especially when it comes to a corner park that few people will ever see.
In addition to the playground, there are a few things for the adults that come visit with kids to do. There is a small section to do some workouts. Nothing wrong with that of course. I’m spending time doing this each week. And not just during walks. But for those visiting who don’t want to lift weights or stress their muscles more, there are several benches that dot the park. Plenty to do while visiting this quiet corner of Lake Mary.
Pokémon Go

Let’s take a look at Tree City Park in Pokémon Go. Its a bit odd. The park isn’t even marked in game. Yet there are two Pokestops here. Many corner parks only have one. And that includes ones that are marked in game. With that in mind, this still isn’t really a place to come for Pokémon Go. This is a corner park in a neighborhood. Its really meant for its residents. But if you are in the area it wouldn’t hurt to come check this place out for a quiet moment. There are a few spawns at least.

Hey look, I actually managed to look happy this time. Mostly I’m just glad to have been able to leave the house. Last weekend, I lacked the energy to do much. Been big sad for a while. It usually happens after I come back from a convention. My hope is that as I continue to feel better, I’ll continue exploring more. There is plenty more to see in Lake Mary. And I want to check out as much as I can. Especially before the summer gets too hot in Florida.
