Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Trailblazer Park

Admin/ November 9, 2025/ Central Florida, Florida, Pokémon Go, Travel, Video Games

Out of trail to hike and wanting to check out another area for green spaces, I headed towards Lake Mary, Florida and found a cluster of locations all around each other. Diverse as they were, I decided to explore them one at a time, starting with Trailblazer Park.

Trailblazer Park is the young kids section of the complex. Most of the space is designed for them to play and enjoy outdoors and a safe and fun environment. Everything outside this area is more dedicated to specific sports, and I will showcase those the next few times I go on an adventure.

What I do like about Trailblazer Park, as well as other places like it, is that there are pavilions within close distance to the playgrounds. That way, while parents and siblings watch their family members play safely, they are able to stay in the shade and enjoy some rest.

Compared to the trail I hiked before, this segment might seem like a tiny adventure. But like any springboard, there is always an action that leads to something grand. Trailblazer Park was the party of the park I feared it would be most difficult to get pictures of. I do everything in my power to avoid kids ever appearing in my photos. Yet the park was empty. Not so for everything around it. But I’ll showcase those adventures in future blog posts.

Pokemon Go

Well I let the pictures do most of the talking as far as the real world is concerned in Trailblazer Park. But how was the Pokemon Go experience? As you can see in the above picture, three Pokestops and a Gym in a small space is normally a recipe for a good playing area. Surprisingly, while there were some spawns, this seems to be one of those rare corners of the world with tons of stops and few Pokemon.

I imagine the other sections of this larger complex will be better for Pokemon Go. Perhaps since Trailblazer Park is meant for young children, the spawn rate is lower. But that is just a guess as I have no idea how the server determines where spawns appear.

As I did not move around too much while exploring Trailblazer Park, I only hatched one egg. But as it was a Sableye and I need the candy for this Pokemon immensely as I want to build several of them for Great League, I was pleased with the hatch.

Here I am once again trying to take a picture while the sun is making it hard to see. I swear I’m happy in this picture. Thing is, its hard to maintain composure when it looks like there is a hole in the side of your face while trying to smile. What a weird trick of the light. Anyway, there is a lot more to explore in this complex and I started small to ease back into checking out parks.

I’m even more excited by what I’ll be exploring next time. And I can’t wait to share those pictures and my experiences with you all.
