Surviving the Felon: Week of 11/01/2025
I’m back with another instalment of Surviving the Felon. Spooky Season is never truly over for me, but as we make it into the first week of November, many will focus on Thanksgiving in the United States while the rest of the world will already be eyeing the December holidays. This time of the year used to make me extremely depressed all the way till March. I’m hoping to have the energy to make it through the next several months given everything.
I missed out on taking a walk during a truly beautiful day outside to give you an idea of how sneaky my own brain can be. But I refuse to let The Felon add to that misery. As his goons continue to harm innocent people here and abroad, I am fighting at times just to keep that negative energy out. Still, I am unable to ignore all the evil happening. And not just for the sake of writing this blog each week.
But knowing this evil is one of the first steps to crushing it. Communities are forming around the United States and the world that stand against not just The Felon, but Fascism in general. Despite educations systems being hijacked to hide the truth of our times, people are still learning about the truth. Even when it is dangerous to do so. And that gives me the energy to keep going when all other lights seem to go out.
The Bad
While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage Foundation, Peter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.
As before I’ll be listing the bad as a list. This is the least important part of this post and the section I want to move past as quickly as possible. Here we go:
The Felon demolished part of the White House for a Vanity Project, The Window Shover is once again threatening nuclear war, Gerrymandering, Everything ICE is doing in a city near you, Government still shut down, Healthcare Costs going way up, The Felon declaring that he will run for president again, Food Stamps running out, a Great Gatsby Party celebrating our misery, Genocide in Sudan
The Good
Well that list is getting longer rather than shorter isn’t it? But we can’t let all that horrible stuff drag us down. After all, that is the point of all those terrible things. Or rather the idea that there are a seemingly insurmountable number of awful things happening all at once that it seems impossible for us to have a better world. Which we need to reject. The world can get better and it is getting better in some places. The news just isn’t reporting it because optimism doesn’t make them as much money as misery. Remember then that staying positive in the face of such evil is a form of resistance.
For those of you like me who use that positive energy to fight back openly, remember that Fascists are not only stupid but reactive too. While that does mean we need to be careful when standing up to them, it also means its easy to manipulate their emotions. They easily react to simple jokes and can’t stand when they are treated the way they treat everyone else. Never forget the importance of the paradox of tolerance, but the golden rule too.
People are standing up to dictators and autocrats all over the world. The Window Shover continues to lose in Ukraine. May he continue to fail until the day he dies. And as I have mentioned before, there have been people all over the world standing up to evil while flying the Straw Hats Jolly Roger. Luffy would be so proud. May we all be brave enough to punch the real life Celestial Dragons in the face.
Transition
Well that is enough politics for now. Reflecting on how I did during the week helps me move forward into the next. I like to focus on my little victories. They help push the biting tactics of Depression and Anxiety away. I didn’t have any financial surprises like last week. Which was helpful considering I’ll need to make sure not to overspend as things get tougher.
Remember that if you are feeling hopeless and alone, that you should reach out to friends and family that you trust. That darkness is what the ruling class is trying to spread. And its a Virus that has a vaccine like any other. Building communities is the strongest of all vaccines against what we face. Never be afraid to ask for help when you need it. I certainly have been doing so.
Workouts
I’m starting to get into a habit of doing a core workout a couple times a week. Finally did pushups, crunches, squats, and planks at a higher number of reps (20) and even did it twice in one week. If I can manage to do a hike and a couple of these core workouts in the same week, I’ll really be on my way to being a better and healthier me. And then I can use that boost to dopamine to stand up for what is right.
Video Games
The weather in Florida truly felt like fall this week. I almost felt like I was back in Chicago where there are true temperature fluctuations that last for months. and while I should have gone for a walk, I needed a week for myself. Lots of stress all around and needed some time to recover. And of course when recovering, video games help me on healing journeys. This time around I’m playing Civilization 7 while writing this blog post. And despite how much hate this game is getting, I’m having a blast.
Of course that wasn’t the only game I played. Lots of my free time is with video games after all. Genshin Impact and Pokémon Legends Z-A were my other choices for the week. The latter is only getting better as I get deeper into the gameplay and story. And I have spent almost every week in this blog post praising Genshin so there is no need to do so again.
Baldur’s Gate 3 was the other game I played and one that had my socialize. This game is best played with friends and getting to watch said friends experience the game for the first time was an incredible time. I can’t wait to play into act 2 which is my favorite section of the game.
Pokémon Go
This week, my Depression won out and I didn’t go on a hike or explore any parks. I’m disappointed at my choices but I can only improve. Those walks are therapeutic and I need to go back to going on them. Naturally my own brain is the number one enemy. Not even The Felon is capable of stopping me from playing Pokémon Go outside.
Spooky season ended in Pokémon Go. Which is a shame because many of my favorite Pokémon spawn during this time. The next few months tend to feature events that are less exciting to me. As opposed to all the ones I needed for PvP during October. Oh well. Not like I won’t play. I’m locked into this game and a simple change of spawns won’t affect that.
As for PvP, I got a chance to battle in my grassroots Battle League. And while I did not win my matchup, I did go 1-2 which is a big improvement over my debut where I lost every fight. I’m not sure if I will battle again next week, but I certainly feel better about my place on my team.
Anime and Shows
I’m still locked in with To Your Eternity, Gachiakuta, Isseki Quartet, and Spy x Family. I forgot to mention the fourth show last week. A big oopsie but easy to correct. I won’t be changing the old post to correct the mistake. These posts are supposed to represent what I am thinking in that moment and I feel making changes after the fact takes away from that fact. Anyway, once more To Your Eternity was the clear standout. I don’t think any of the others, save perhaps Gachiakuta will be able to take that from it week after week.
Lord of Mysteries continues to wow me with a fantastic magic system and leaving me wondering what is going on. There truly are a lot of mysteries and I feel like I might need to read up on supplementary material to make sure I didn’t miss anything once I’m caught up on it. Not docking on it, but I need to talk about the pacing because it makes it a little harder to fully grasp.
This last week, I watched the Chainsaw Man Movie. The Reze Arc is one of my favorites in the Manga and the movie did the complex and tragic storyline justice. The end sequence even pushed further into an idea that readers like myself have felt for years. Which made the ending of the movie that much more soul crushing. It was fantastic and I would recommend the movie to just about anyone into this sort of thing.
I watched plenty of One Piece this week. And I have seen several times now why people both view Dressrosa both positively and negatively. The arc deals with a lot of interesting ideas and gets to focus on many characters all at once. But the pacing is extremely slow. And I heard this criticism many times over before I watched it.
Dungeons & Dragons
At long last my Centrum Glacies Campaign continued. After several sessions back to back of dungeon crawling, the party is out of there and back to dealing with the complex political factions all with their own goals. Writing such stories helps me feel better about the terrible things in reality. For all the terrible thing The Felon does, at least he’s an idiot. The villains in my stories are not. And the damage they cause is far far worse.
If you want to read some examples of far far worse, take a look at this post documenting the events of that session.
Writing and Editing
Not only did I focus mostly on my Search for Eden Novel, this week, I’ll be doing the same all of November. NaNoWriMo is gone and they went bankrupt both financially and morally. But I’ll still be writing the entire month of November in honor of what that organization once was. My goal is to finish this novel’s first draft by the end of the month. Let’s see if I can.
Reading
This week I read Urek Mazino and The God of High School. The former is a more interesting story to me, but I am only able to read one webtoon a week. Meanwhile the other one is fully available to me, but I didn’t enjoy the Anime as much, and I’m still at the part it covered. I imagine that I’ll enjoy it far more once I get past the early chapters.
Wrap Up
The Felon is acting more and more belligerent. He is growing more unhinged as his desperation for dictatorship grows greater. He is dying and even the rest of his political party knows it. Its no coincidence that The Couch Humper is being set up to be the next puppet. And his interactions with Modern Horst Wessel’s Wife is gross too.
Which is why creating art is so important. The Couch Humper is a puppet of the worst form of Capitalism. Fascism is what those sorts of people turn to when they lose control. Its why those same rulers fear Mamdani in New York. He’s offering an alternate to their system. And while I don’t agree at all with his views on Israel, I still want him to win because the power structures he wishes to dismantle should be crushed.
But one politician will not be enough to break the status quo. That is why we must all come together to stop Fascism together. That is why protests matter even if it seems like nothing has changed. Our heartbeats march to the beat of the same drum. The Felon will soon no longer be able to hurt us. But we must fight The Couch Humper too. This isn’t over so long as these parasites can evolve and try again to hurt us.

You made it to the end. Enjoy this cat.
