I’m back with another instalment of Surviving the Felon. And there is a lot to celebrate this week. We are heading towards the holiday season and while that part of the year doesn’t make me as happy as most, I realize that this is an exciting time for many people. Exciting enough that people can take their minds of The Felon for a bit even.

But there are other things that happened this past week that were extraordinary and I’ll get to those in a few paragraphs. But in this section I want to highlight that public opinion is shifting. The Felon is starting to fall apart both literally and politically. This might mean some oppressive pushback of course. But if that sort of thing happens, its a reminder that those powers that be which seek to harm us are losing. They wouldn’t need the propaganda and threats of force otherwise.

If you are feeling alone and under duress, try and find a local community that shares your thoughts, or is into something that makes you smile. Being surrounded by others is how we build stronger groups that can help each other live in a better world. Best of all, community building is something that we all collectively can do something about.

The Bad

While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage FoundationPeter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.

An ordered list seems to be the best way to get through this section and so I’ll continue doing so. Negativity is the news’s specialty. And I want to focus on resisting and the positivity. But those bad things cannot be ignored. Giving it the least thought and fewest words is a proper compromise.

The Window Shover is once again threatening nuclear war, Gerrymandering, Everything ICE is doing in a city near you, Government still shut down, Healthcare Costs going way up, The Felon declaring that he will run for president again, Food Stamps running out, Genocide in Sudan, Conflict in the Middle East, The Couch Humper being in the news, threats against New York City

The Good

Before I go into the good and there was a whole lot of that this week, I want to point out that the list of bad things shrunk from the week prior. I know I even said last time that I expected that list to keep growing. Keep fighting the good fight. What’s even better than combating the bad is for the bad things to start surrendering ground on their own.

Anyway, let’s talk about all the liberal and progressive election wins this week. Mamdani winning New York City isn’t the only thing worth smiling about. In many elections around the country, including even a few in Florida, Conservatives and their Fascist leaders are losing ground. Even better, the scare words like Socialism and Communism are losing their teeth as people are seeing now that Capitalism and Fascism are ultimately the same thing and very bad for the majority of people.

Its not time to give up the fight yet. In fact, its time to fight even harder. The holidays are coming up and many of the companies invested in the Felon’s success depend on the money we spend to stay in business. Why don’t we show them this Black Friday and Christmas Season the price they must pay for supporting Fascism?

Transition

What a strange turn of events. The political section of the blog has ended on a positive note easily drowning out the negative listed right above it. Its time for me now to push all that aside for a moment and focus inward. Looking at what I have been doing to ensure that I have energy to fight The Felon has always been an important part of this blog.

And while the world might appear to be doing better at the moment, I know that a lot of people in that world are feeling worse and worse. Food is becoming a problem for more people as cruel sociopaths run the show. Which is why as usual, I’ll be posting links to the things helping me keep sane. My they stand as a light in the darkness if you need one.

Workouts

I managed to maintain this habit by doing even more. Just kidding. I failed to continue the habit this week. Sounds like its time to start over and begin training myself to do these workouts. I have no one to blame but myself. I have no excuses as to why I cannot do a simple core workout twice a week if not more. I’m gonna try something different for the next week and see if I can get some better results.

Video Games

The weather is getting nice and I should be outside. But I’m still a video gamer at heart and so to the surprise of no one I spend plenty of time on that activity. Genshin Impact is what I’m playing right now while writing. Alternating between the game and writing a few paragraphs is not only helpful for this post, but for when I write in general.

When not playing Genshin, I chose Civilization 7 and Baldur’s Gate 3 for my multiplayer experience. Sometimes I have to interact with people or I’ll go insane,. Meanwhile, for a true solo experience I have also been playing Pokemon Legends Z-A and having a blast. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you away from a fun experience.

Pokemon Go

For this week in Pokemon Go, I participated in Raid hour, but stayed home for the other event during the weekend. I’m saving my energy for next month when I’ll be going to an in person event in Miami Florida. I have never gone to one of the sponsored events like this before and I’m sure it will be a unique experience that I wont forget.

On the PvP side of things, I didn’t end my tournament debut season well. Only have won one game out of the 9 I played total. At least I can only improve from here. I am doing better in the GBL at least where thanks to help from my teammates, I am getting better at team building and decision making. I’ll start streaming some of my games so that I can get proper feedback. And when I can save those recordings, I’ll start sharing them.

As for exploring the world with Pokemon Go, I went to a park and wrote about it. You can read it here if you want. That adventure is a prelude to a much better one nearby coming soon.

Anime and Shows

I’m not fully caught up on shows this week. I watched Isekai Quartet because its short, and Gachiakuta because the prior episode ended on a cliffhanger. Between the two its easy to choose which one I liked better. One is a comedy that is a series of shorts while the other is a much more serious story with an overarching mystery. I’ll be focused even more on Gachiakuta next week because that first cliffhanger gave way to a second one.

I did watch quite a bit of One Piece as I continue through the Dressrosa Arc. Its a long one for sure but I’m getting past the buildup and into the more meaningful bits. People talk about this Arc, especially the ending a lot. I’m eager to reach that bit so I can understand fully. But also because I know the next couple arcs are really good ones and am looking forward to that.

Dungeons & Dragons

After one great week finally having my players leave a long dungeon and get back to world building and character growth, we had to take another week off. That’s fine though because I get more time to prep for future sessions and really put down the best ideas and all the possible paths the players can pick to reach them.

Writing and Editing

This week I focused completely on writing my Search for Eden Novel. I’m getting to the later bits and reaching the climax of a story 5 books in the making. I never thought I would reach this point and so every page written feels like an important milestone to me.

I might not be editing this month, but my editor did some good work and I’ll have plenty to review once December comes along. I’m making serious headway thanks to him with my Earth Everafter Novel. I deeply believe that of all my books, that series will be the easiest one to build an audience and gain a fandom. That way when I release the more complex and darker Search for Eden Series I’ll be ready to show readers something truly extraordinary.

Reading

Reading is where my mind has wandered and caused trouble. I was really invested in Magi and not getting the next few issues in the mail broke my reading up in a way that caused a problem for me. I read a chapter of Mazino. And was frustrated that I didn’t read much else. So to try and change that I started rereading The Complete Revision Workbook for Writers, written by a friend and teacher Arielle Haughee. Her website is located here and she has been extremely helpful in my revision process and knowing when it was time to dive into it.

I’m hoping I can get back on track and have more Magi to read soon. There is another series I want to read after that which I know will grab my attention for some time.

Wrap Up

Let me wrap this up in fewer words than usual. I won’t waste too much more time on The Felon. He wants us all thinking about how. What would happen if we cut him from our minds and focused on the wonderful things in this world. The places and feelings that Capitalism is trying to crush out of us? We don’t need to be spending every moment trying to monetize our time. Rest is just as valuable, if not more valuable than work.

Art as a form of expression is that way of making the world better than we found it. Go on a walk and look at nature. My backyards through the years have held plenty of secrets. Do not despair that your work as mine does keeps me from traveling. Use the moments of rest to discover something new. The world has so many mysteries to discover and new knowledge to gain. One lifetime is not enough and hence why its a tragedy that we are forced for so much of it to toil on meaningless tasks.

So long as we all wish for a better world, especially one for everyone to be kind able to reach their potential, our hearts can gather and beat as one. We can drive the evil out and have a future not held hostage by the past. We learned from our ancestors the many ways we couldn’t have a better society. Let’s cast their failures away and come up with something better for everyone. Let’s start by Surviving The Felon. All Together.

As a reward for making it all the way to the end, here is a cat.
