Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Roseland Park
For my next adventure, I explored little and secluded Roseland Park in Sanford, Florida. Let’s see what I found.
Roseland Park is one of those quiet little corners of the world that I never would have found without a map. Which is a shame, because there is plenty of space for kids to play, adults to sit and reflect on life, and for everyone regardless of age to shoot hoops.
Many local parks have a similar setup, but if something works, no need to fix it. What interests me is how despite the description of many parks sounding the same, the pictures of each tell a different tale. All of these green spaces are unique.
One oddity that stuck out to me here was the fence around the playground. I’m not sure why there is one here when the park is already isolated and has a fence of its own. Perhaps its an architectural choice. I’ll probably never figure it out.
Pokémon Go:
Roseland Park is isolated in the middle of a neighborhood in a dead end. There are no stops here or nearby for that matter. And there are few spawns here. This is not a place to play Pokémon Go. This park was designed to used by people who live nearby and want to take a break from their busy lives. For gaming purposes, I recommend downtown Sanford instead.
The sneaky fox snuck with me into the park. But while you are reading this, Zorua is in your house eating your food.
Here I am with my eyes open a bit more than usual. That is what happens when fog blocks out the sun that normally makes it harder to see during selfies.
There are several more parks near this one. I intend to check them out too. You won’t have to wait long to see those pictures.
