Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Coastline Park

Admin/ January 6, 2023/ Central Florida, Florida, Travel, Video Games

I went to a new spot near my house. Coastline Park to be exact, while taking a drive around Sanford, Florida. Let’s see what I found.

Before I talk about Coastline Park, I want to talk about something else nearby that creates an odd sound contrast. Across the way from the park sits Pebble Junction. I’m not quite sure what is produced there, but the factory noises at work gave a different vibe than just about any other park I visited.

Now let’s look at Coastline Park itself. From the empty fountain, to basketball courts with no one using them, and lots of open green space, this park I imagine sees greater use normally. But the fountain was turned off. The grass was mostly brown and dead due to the recent cold snap.

I was one of the only people visiting the park likely due to the relatively cold weather for Florida. But I’m from Chicago and do not consider high 50s Fahrenheit to be cold at all. I still wore shorts in fact. Probably got some stares from some of the other visitors in the park. Oh well.

All in all, this was a nice park and an even nicer find. This place is nestled between several neighborhoods and even some industrial areas. Several sets of train tracks cross the nearby streets. And best of all, I found another trail that starts here. I’m already planning that adventure.

Let’s take a look at Coastline Park in Pokémon Go. Tons of stops but not that many spawns. A bit different than some other parks. I was a bit disappointed that more Pokémon didn’t appear. Tons of stops to stock up on items though.

Noibat can’t play basketball, but flew around the court anyway. I usually don’t get to stand on the basketball courts since people usually shoot hoops. But not on this adventure.

I had a great time out in some cooler and crisp air. Not only was the park wonderful, but I found a new trail to explore. Lots more to surprise you with on this blog.
