Surviving the Felon: Week of 6/07/2025

I’m back with another instalment of Surviving the Felon. June is here and Florida is boiling. I am not going outside as much save during work. Which is a shame because going on a hike is something that keeps me happy in unprecedented times like now. Hence why I need to write my feelings down more than ever. This has been another rough week and for several reasons.

While there are some things to be thankful for, my mind is hanging onto negative fears. More than ever we have to all be brave and stand up to The Felon and his wicked plots. Talks of martial law and violence against innocent people is meant to scare us into submission. And we can’t let that happen. The time is coming where we all need to be brave. How each of us chooses bravery is unique. Not everyone needs to resist in the same way.

But even as things in the United States appear to be hopeless, that light still shines through. We must survive The Felon and his cronies and make sure that every single yard they take is with greater loss for them than us. But I don’t want to only talk negative in this segment of the post. That is what the next section is for.

The Bad

While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage FoundationPeter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.

Ok let’s get into it. First off, as a Jew I am scared right now. Globalize the Intifada does not help Palestinians. It does not make the middle east any safer. Crazies shooting innocent Jews in the name of a war that is not a genocide does not help any one. What it does do is tell Jess that we are in danger and can’t trust our allies. And it also tells the more radical groups to commit more violence while silencing those who genuinely want peace. Can someone explain to me why this isn’t obvious to everyone?

Meanwhile, California might be the location of the spark where things really start looking nasty. ICE encountered some proper resistance in Los Angeles. And The Felon as any school yard bully does is not capable of dealing with anyone standing up to him. So he is trying to get the National Guard and even the Marines into the city to try and commit violence and justify martial law. Its a situation where no matter what happens, things will escalate further. My hope is that the soldiers do not shoot civilians and it is The Felon and his Fascist goons that flee with their tails between their legs.

The Good

Well that all painted a pretty bleak picture didn’t it? But we can’t stop with doom and gloom. That defeats the entire purpose of this blog. If I wanted everyone to feel hopeless and weak, I would be a mainstream media station. But I don’t gain profits from misery. In fact as of right now, I’m not making any money from this blog at all. Rather I find as a writer it is necessary to spread some hope in times where it feels lacking.

The first thing happening that is making me thankful and should make any reader excited is the very real fallout between The Felon and The Nazi. It was only a matter of time before two egomaniacs with serious mental issues came to blows. Neither one could suffer the other to be better than them after all. It is my hope and wish that we continue to antagonize them both. If they are forced to focus on each other, they will not be able to harm everyone else. Its really a testament to how much better our world needs to be that such people have any power at all.

Another remarkable thing I want to talk about is Ukraine’s successes against Russian weapons. I hope the best for that country. They are fending off a belligerent invader with another Fascist, The Window Shover at the helm. Should Ukraine continue to claim victory, I hope that it will weaken Russia and force them to stop giving resources to other terror groups such as Hamas. A crushing blow in one war may lead to further light and betterment in other conflicts around the world. Zelenskyy is a real leader unlike The Felon.

Transition

As things escalate further each week, it is vital that we find time to do the things that bring us joy. Without smiles on our faces and chances to recharge, we won’t have the energy to fight back against The Felon. And while we take part in activities which excite us, we can smirk with the satisfaction that The Felon is incapable of feeling joy. He does not know how to find entertainment and wonder in the world. He is too ill mentally and physically to enjoy this wonderful world. That is why he seeks to harm it and take our joy away.

Now that I have talked a bit about some wider issues for the week, I want to as usual share the activities that are bringing me joy. If you need ideas on what to do to bring a smile to your face, feel free to click on some of the links as I share my favorite stuff for the week. If I can bring some light to the worlds of other people, then I have done my part to resist The Felon.

Video Games

As usual, video games are where I draw a lot of joy from. Especially now that it is unsafe to be outside during the day due to extreme weather conditions. This week, its Oblivion that I’m playing between paragraphs to make sure that a constant source of dopamine is motivating me to write. Genshin Impact will probably help me clean my house today as I go from task to task in that game. Its a lot easier for me to accomplish more when I break the work up into little chunks.

I played a little bit of Helldivers 2 this week, but I’m still a little burned out after all the Super Earth events. When I’m in the mood to play the game, I can spend hours spreading Democracy. But as the missions can take a while, when I don’t have the energy I’m likely to pick another game.

Instead I played a lot of Elden Ring this week. You would think that I would be burned out after playing through the game so many times. And you would be partially right. But every time I take a break, its only so long before The Lands Between call me back. There are so many weapons to try out and countless builds to make use of.

Pokémon Go

I’m saddened that it will probably be a while before I can safely go on hikes again. At least while in Florida. I have some vacation time set aside and I might get a chance to go on some adventures in a couple weeks. That is something to look forward to at least. Until then, it will be events, and nightly excursions in Pokémon Go. Maybe I can do some night adventures but will have to test how those pictures look before I commit to anything.

As for PvP, I’m still higher ranked than I was at the start of last season. And that means even my placement matches are much harder. Still, the fact that I am winning enough of these battles means that it was not a fluke that I moved up to Veteran Rank last season. Let’s see if I can do that again.

Anime and Shows

I’m back to setting my normal trend, and as Fire Force  comes closer to its conclusion, once more I am an episode behind. I’ll get to why that is in a moment. But although its a cool show and has interesting ideas, its not keeping me engaged like a certain other show I’m watching.

That show would be One Piece. I’m now more than halfway through Impel Down and the arc has been nothing short of incredible. One of the reasons I started watching One Piece is because I was told that the author does not forget about characters despite the long running nature of the show. And this arc demonstrates that perfectly. Tons of familiar faces are back and they are no less irrelevant just because the story has advanced. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this show.

Dungeons & Dragons

My Centrum Glacies Campaign had a little lull after the storm of the week before. But if I am being honest, sessions where I let the players roleplay and work through their character arcs are my favorite ones. Even if those sessions end up being long blog posts.

World building is something I spend a lot of time on. And segments where characters interact tend to be much more difficult to perfect than combat. Yes combat is fun and there are lots of ways to tell a story during those moments, but the quiet segments, especially ones after a tragedy are just as important. In fact, given that the characters for the most part are suffering after their experiences in the Feywild, it was a lot of fun to let loose and let them control the pace of the week.

I’m looking forward to what happens next. This arc is working towards its conclusion and I’ll be sure to make an even grander showstopper than what happened at the end of the Feywild mini arc. For those of you reading my Centrum Glacies posts you are in for a treat.

Writing and Editing

This week I made a bit of progress towards editing my Earth Everafter Novel. Yet editing is a lot harder than writing and so progress feels slow. Meanwhile I did complete a little more writing towards completing the first draft of Search for Eden 5, but every moment I was writing, there was a little thought in the back of my head demanding I get back to editing first. And naturally such intrusive thoughts are distracting and make working harder.

Naturally I had no such trouble with this blog post, or the one about last weeks Centrum Glacies Session. Still, I really do need to work on editing. That novel might be the key that frees me from my 9 to 5 job and grants me the freedom to work where and when I want that I have so craved for most of my life. It is to my benefit to work harder on that front.

Reading

This week I continued reading The Amber Spyglass. My mind was distracted though and progress through the novel has been slower than I meant for it to be. This upcoming week, I intend to change that. reading has been one of my great escapes outside of video games. And there are so many books to choose from and an even grander number of adventures to embark towards.

If I can’t go on hikes, I at least can travel new places in my mind. Page by page, chapter by chapter, I can explore new worlds crafted by the imaginations of other authors. And those treks are always worthwhile.

Wrap Up

As The Felon moves ever closer to trying to become a dictator, we must continue to be a thorn in his side. Do not fear speaking out against his blatant acts of terrorism. Be afraid of the silence that will grow if we do nothing and simply let him do what he wants. Powerful oligarchs have said time and time again that they will easily enslave us if we do nothing. Which means we must do everything to stop them.

Yet we must find joy in our lives. Lest we will be numb to the horrible atrocities and be unwilling to fight back. Do not give up hope. Fascism has failed everywhere it has been tried. It doesn’t mean this will end overnight. But so long as we can survive and outlast The Felon, we win. And he will lose. If not politically, then as time moves on.

The Felon is feeble, weak, and old. We are young, strong, and courageous. He cannot crush our spirits and he will fail again and again. Not only because he has The Nazi fighting with him over who has the bigger ego, but because his policies are starting to harm the pocketbooks of the most greedy of humans.

To that end, we will outlast and Survive The Felon. Our hearts will beat as one. And those sounds will crush his eardrums and drown out his nonsense. He cannot defeat us. We are stronger than him, unified and as one brave body.

This kitty is blessing you with his presence since you made it to the end.
