Surviving the Quarantine: Part 23
We have made it to Surviving the Quarantine Part 23. This is the point where a habit is birthed. I wonder how long Covid 19 will impact our lives? Who knows how long this series will run in the meantime. Anyway, be sure to check out the rest of this blog series here.
Politics:
Well, I had done well avoiding the negative for the last few weeks. But no longer. Something so important to the political landscape happened that will draw the United States far to the horrific that I cannot ignore it. I’m talking about Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
This legendary lady of justice and equality passed away between this blog post and my last. She was a pillar of our country who was one of the driving forces behind many of the rights women have today. Unfortunately, many nasty forces are at work to undo everything she stood for while her body has not even been buried yet.
A frightening convergence of Incels, White Supremacists, Nazis, and assorted groups is working together to take away the rights of women. I feel it disturbing on many levels that after all the hard work RBG put in, that her very replacement will destroy her legacy. After opening many doors through many years, it only will take a few months to close them all.
Speaking of bad, I have to mention the Orange Turd too. Despite everything that has happened, through all the nonsense, people still take his statements to be jokes. Stop doing that.
When he says something outlandish, he means it. If he states that he will destroy Democrat run cities cause they don’t support him, believe him. When he declares that he plans to stay president forever, you better take that seriously.
More Politics:
Now to make things worse, the Fuhrer wannabe is claiming that the elections shouldn’t happen since they might make him look bad. The military needs to follow their constitutional oath and protect our country from a domestic threat.
Continuing on that note, here is one for all the QAnon idiots. You want a real conspiracy? The Soviet Union never fell. Instead it pretended to fall apart so that it could later conquer the United States. It did so in 2016. Congratulations Drumph Syncopates. You accomplished for Mother Russia what Communism never could.
*Takes Deep Breath* Ok. I have had enough talking about that. Even thinking about all the horrible things in store if this is not stopped right now is making my blood boil.
The Good:
Anyway, lets focus on the good cause boy do I need it right now. The Census appears to have been extended and that means my job has too. Its great to know that I’ll have stable income for just a bit longer.
Not quite sure what to do with my life after this job ends. Its been an overall positive experience for me. Best of all, I have been able to finally save money. Its been a long time since I felt financially the way I do now.
This pandemic has been awful for so many people, but at least I found my own little corner of happiness. 2020 was not the year I expected it to be in any way shape or form.
So I continue to play Animal Crossing a little each day since I’m feeling better. I’m turning Zozo into the most beautiful island ever. And totally not a hellhole. Wait, where is Zozo again?
Anime:
Re: Zero continues to be the main attraction of my Anime Watches. Truly this show is an absolute spectacle. I will never see bunnies the same ever again. And even more is happening. Will this show threaten my top three favorite Anime? Time will tell.
Fire Force, deserves its own paragraph finally. The show has finally gotten back to what I loved so much about the first season. The fanservice that I can’t stand is taking a backseat to incredible storytelling and I’m looking forward to more of it.
Misfit of Demon King Academy, and The God of High School are also puling their weight. Though the season finale of the latter left a bad taste. Oh and a Certain Scientific Railgun is airing again. While not as notable as the other two, I keep watching these shows so they are still worth checking out.
Dungeons and Dragons:
Dungeons and Dragons continued with new surprises. I was back to running two of them.
Cycle of Millennia featured the party facing off against a Demon Lord and the Dwarf he was possessing. The party almost botched the ritual which might have killed them all. However, they stumbled their way to victory.
And soon they stumbled again into the icy realm of the Icegut Dwarves. Long ago, the party in a much weaker state had been unable to pass their rite of passage tests. But the group was basically divine at this point so cold water was no big deal.
Unfortunately, like the Runebrewers before them (I can’t describe here just the sheer amount of fuckery involved with the Runebrewers. But as you read the books this campaign is based on you will see.) the Icegut leaders had an Archdemon controlling them.
Another battle is about to unfold. But can the group stumble through another ritual? Or will they die deep in the abyss so close to getting revenge?
Meanwhile in Centrum Glacies, the party defeated or killed the Succubus. They don’t know which. After resting for a night and trying to figure out how the machinist would function without an eye, a mysterious stranger entered their tavern.
One of the group knows his true identity. Meanwhile, another feels a strange type of bond. Have they met somewhere before? All things considered, everything is about to escalate. As if running into a Demon in a world where they are considered a legend isn’t an escalation.
Persona 4:
I have more Persona 4 videos for you all. Well one at least. Sorry I don’t have more to showcase. But watch my Twitch Channel to see content sooner.
Here is boss 6 in Persona 4. The Otaku murderloon Shadow Mitsuo.
Wrap Up:
Well this has been a week of political tragedy. Here is hoping that doesn’t spill over into my personal life.
