Here we are with Surviving the Quarantine Part 24. A habit has been birthed as I continue to survive in these strange times. Be sure to check out the other weeks posts. Its been a roller coaster ride.
The Presidential Debate if it can even be called that was a complete insult to… I don’t even know how to finish that sentence. What the fuck was that? I’m not going to even post any videos from it. I’ll spare your brain cells.
Anyway, one extremely bad thing that happened as a result of those debates. Trump empowered White Supremacists. Excuse me while I prep to deal with these lunatics while they stand back and stand by. I know that Trump is a white supremacists and an Anti Semite. But admitting it on national television is something else.
Oh so this next part sorta straddles the line between positive and negative. Lots of politicians are catching Covid 19. Maybe they shouldn’t have called it a hoax. Naturally a virus that doesn’t care about emotions will spread. And the people most likely to get infected seem to be the ones denying it. Weird how that works.
The Good:
Let’s focus on the good. Most of the bad is a recap of last week. Let’s talk about how I am more financially secure than ever. This really is the best I have felt about my personal future in years. Weird since the world in general is going to hell.
And why am I financially secure? This awesome job at the census. Best of all, justice has prevailed and now a court order will force everything to be counted correctly. Take that corrupt people who wanted minorities ignored.
So I continue to play Animal Crossing a little each day since I’m feeling better. I’m turning Zozo into the most beautiful island ever. And totally not a hellhole. Wait, where is Zozo again?
Anime:
Re:Zero, Misfit of Demon King Academy, and A Certain Scientific Railgun are finished. Some of those will be back in a few months. Re: Zero was the clear winner. One of the best shows I have watched in quite a while.
Fire Force still has plenty of episodes to go and as it would turn out, the show finally picked up in the last few weeks. However, as Re: Zero does not have my attention, another show airing on the same day does now. Higurashi is airing a remaster.
If you didn’t watch the original, watch this one. Like now. The Visual Novel is incredible and so is the Anime, even with what it cut.
Cycle of Millennia:
Dungeons and Dragons is trucking right along. Two campaigns with plenty of surprises this week.
Cycle of Millennia featured another Demon Lord armed with multiple tricks to mess with the party. The most insane spell in its list kept turning defeated Dwarves into increasingly more powerful undead.
But after besting one monster, the group entered the Royal Library where the one Dwarf that no one in the group hated was. Unfortunately, another Demon had possessed him and the entire library was in danger!
Once again the group tried to slay the Demon. This time though, the Dwarf did not survive. The Demon’s final attack killed it and its host. The party almost was taken down too.
Of course, Fodrin, the one forcing the party to play all these cruel games then appeared and told them that he had lied earlier when telling them to keep everyone alive.
Unfortunately, the next Dwarf house is very important to a certain Paladin. Probably because he was born and raised there. Will he be forced to kill his own family?
Centrum Glacies:
Centrum Glacies featured a party that found a city where the entire population was on a timer to doom. And that timer had 24 minutes left when the group entered. Not enough time to save anyone.
Before they could even try, they got ambushed by Hags. The witches who served the one who cast the ritual. Things only got worse after the battle ended. Engelique, the Coven Leader had lurked nearby and these fights had just been to stall for time.
She successfully cast an enchantment on the party where not only can the group not tell everyone that she is draining the souls from entire cities, but they are forced to take the blame for this slaughter.
From bad to worse describes perfectly whats going on in this setting. And a certain Dungeon Master will be ramping up the horror.
Persona 4:

Wrap Up:
This has been another amazing week for me. Meanwhile the world continues to unravel. I fear that eventually the good times will end for me as the rest of the world catches up.
