Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Cady Way Trail Part 1

Admin/ May 30, 2019/ Travel

I started a much larger project recently. This is Cady Way Trail Part 1. The path goes near so many parks and areas of interest that it will be some time before this exploration idea is complete. Look forward to many varied areas. Let us begin.

Cady Way Trail Part 1 begins at a park I checked out in the past. I avoided taking repeat pictures of Lake Druid Park thanks to my prior visit. If you would like to see those images, make sure to check out that post.

As for the trail itself, not too much to see at the start. The path is wide enough to ensure that those nearby know that this is a major path and not a simple sidewalk. Things get more interesting a little farther down.

Farther down, Cady Way Trail Part 1 takes a zigzag route past commercial buildings. This changes once the path reaches Maguire Boulevard. Instead of staying in the forest, the trail follows this street towards the Iconic Baldwin Park. Along the way, one can spot Fashion Square Mall.

Fashion Square Mall is in the process of closing down. There is not too much time left before this whole shopping center is demolished. I am unsure of what will be taking its place, but if you want to see something off the beaten path, make sure to check out this mall before its gone.

Detour:

One of the downsides of a trail that travels through developed areas is construction. An entire section of Cady Way Trail Part 1 was closed off completely. This was a shame as it looks like there is some sort of park in that section. I’ll talk more about that in the Pokemon Go section below.

Instead, I was forced to take a detour into Baldwin Park. If you are wondering why I do not have many pictures of my detour, there is a reasonable explanation. This section passes Mitchel Nutter Park, a region I explored in a prior blog post. If you want to see what is located there, make sure to check out that blog post.

The last picture above marks my stopping point on this leg of the journey. My next post will continue down the trail as is circles around Baldwin Park.

Pokemon Go:

Here is the part of Cady Way Trail Part 1 I could not reach. Admittedly, the Pokestops and Gyms I encountered on this walk sat inside the mall and the parks I mentioned earlier The stop and Gym pictured above mark the only part of Cady Way Trail that breaks this trend.

There were a decent number of spawns on this walk, but not enough to recommend this trail over other areas I have visited such as Lake Eola and Cranes Roost.

Two important things happened in Pokemon Go while exploring Cady Way Trail Part 1. First, I hatched a Beldum. Second, I reached level 39. That means all that stands between me and max level is 5 million more experience points.

Baldwin Park is a beautiful area. The next couple places I am exploring are located in this region. Amazing pictures are incoming. Get excited.
