Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Sunset Park
For my next adventure, I decided to visit Sunset Park. Its a quiet getaway that has boat access to nearby Lake Concord.
Sunset Park is located on the opposite side of Lake Concord from a park that bears its name. I have visited this other park in the past and this side of the lake was quite different.
For one, the other end features a massive park with tons to do and see. Meanwhile Sunset Park is much more peaceful. While there is enough space to play some catch or run around, that isn’t what this greenspace is meant for. Instead, this is a place to visit for some peace and quiet away from a chaotic day.
That isn’t to say that this park is empty and not worth looking at either. Not only is this a prime boat launching area, but the area still has its natural charm to help one feel at peace. Between the scattered trees and benches for someone to sit down, this is a quiet place. Sometimes that is all we need.
Pokémon Go:
Naturally quiet places are not the most optimal places to play Pokémon Go. Across Lake Concord sits a park much better suited to the game. Meanwhile over in Sunset Park, there are only a couple spawns and a single gym. Use this greenspace for what it was intended for. As for playing Pokémon Go, there are much better options.
There are very few situations where I would be happy to hatch a Barboach. This was not one of those times. At this point in my Pokémon Go career, there are few times where a 5k egg will anything worthwhile for me.
Axew almost has enough candy to evolve at this point. But look forward to seeing this baby Dragon for a bit longer. I love the scenery where I took this picture. The mix of blue and brown really makes this image pop.
Here I am feeling relieved after a stress free adventure. I need more of these quiet moments to properly reflect on things. As things appear to be getting worse in the world, its always helpful to take that breath and reflect.
