Surviving the Felon: Week of 1/31/2026

I’m back with another instalment of Surviving the Felon. Last week I felt powerless and weak. And what a change in energy I feel after seven days. This post is a little late because I went on a small vacation. That only gave me even m ore time to breath and feel better after the nightmarish week before. Let’s hope that as we move into February, that we can keep this positivity.

Last week I talked about how we couldn’t succumb to darkness. Not only did I actually follow my own advice, but it seems clear that others did as well. We actually did a lot better this week. As a country we stood up to the Gestapo and left The Felon Reeling. The Other Nazi is trying his best to retake control and now he and many others are at each others throats. Its a wonderful thing.

Still, we can’t ease the gas yet. Fascism searches for weakness and turns that into the next target. The next scapegoat is being sought out even as we relax and prepare for the next clash with them. What we must do as rational people, is make sure that the Fascists continue making scapegoats of each other while being too exhausted and weak to turn on everyone else.

The Bad

While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage FoundationPeter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.

An ordered list seems to be the best way to get through this section and so I’ll continue doing so. Negativity is the news’s specialty. And I want to focus on resisting and the positivity. But those bad things cannot be ignored. Giving it the least thought and fewest words is a proper compromise.

Everything ICE is doing in a city near you which includes the terrorism and murder in Minneapolis, The cover up of ICE’s Terrorism by the FBI, Healthcare Costs going way up, Food Stamps running out, Genocide in Sudan, Conflict in the Middle East, The Felon investigating political enemies, The realization that our world is run by pedophiles, Rising Antisemitism, Attacks against Jews being used to fuel blood libel and conspiracy theories, threats of violence against politicians who don’t obey The Felon, the Military being forced to obey illegal orders, Rising Tensions between Japan and China, The Redacted Epstein Files, Rising Tensions between the United States and Europe

The Good

Well we made it past all the bad. Nothing new was added to the list. And yet nothing old was removed. That might seem like a terrible thing, but the length of that list doesn’t correlate with how bad things might be. After all, I actually shrunk the list down last time, but I don’t think anyone was feeling good unless they were a terrible person last week. Anyway, I’ll start with one incredible thing. Texas’ gerrymandering might have already backfired, because a predominantly red area of the state flipped blue. Perhaps more people are becoming aware of how terrible The Felon is than I thought.

By far my favorite thing happening right now that is positive is the Fascists turning on each other. Now that what is happening in Minnesota is looking bad for The Felon, the Fascists are doing what they always do: finding someone to blame. And yet, Nazi Barbie and The Other Nazi are both powerful people who will not go quietly into the night. Perhaps there will be an even greater gap between these two and The Felon? One can only hope.

And now for something else I mentioned earlier. The Epstein files are in the news again. And as we expected a lot of terrible things have thus far been revealed about lots of powerful people. Its very clear that being a rotten person is a ticket for entry into the big boys club. But apparently the Modern Edison is too much of an annoying and whiny brat to be included. Not that he didn’t try.

Transition

What a breath of fresh air that things are actually improving. I felt so bleak last week but feel empowered and ready to fight against Fascism with renewed vigor. If you feel like me and have been invigorated, now is the time to use that newfound energy to push these wicked sorts into conflict with one another. Use their paranoia and pseudo intellectualism against them.

This blog has been a check in for my friends as well as one for myself. Last week I was in a dark place once more, but its really a testament to my resilience that I’m feeling better this week. Almost like a back and forth thing. January is now in the past and I can focus on bettering my future. I’m still not where I want to be. And I’m sure my Depression will strike when I’m not ready to deal with my thoughts. Which is why those activities that bring me joy are so important.

Anyway, its time for this blog to turn inwards and reflect. I might have had to battle depression and anxiety this week, despair too in fact, but I still found plenty that brought me joy. I refuse to let the mainstream media define my emotions. I’ll fight towards a better me even if I face adversity in my personal life and the world around me. The Felon will not drag me down. If you are feeling down and are searching for something to make you feel better, I’ll be providing links to those things that brought me joy.

Workouts

I hit a major milestone this week with my workouts. Not only did I complete them each day as I wanted, but I felt like they were beginning to get too easy. Now that I have improved my form, its time to add additional reps to the workout now that I have built a habit. Its a great feeling to see and feel progress.

Video Games

I might have been out with friends once more, and I feel good about going out rather than staying all day in my house, but video games are always a constant in my life. Genshin Impact is my game of choice as I write this post. And as always, its a game that keeps me tethered to this world and helps give me something to focus on when my depression completely takes over.

Fire Emblem Path of Radiance was another game I continued this week. And now that I am past all the chapters that usually discourage me from continuing the game, I’m excited to finish this playthrough and move on to even more games in my backlog. There are a whole lot of things for me to play on Steam and on my Nintendo Switch.

As for games I played with others, Civilization 7 and Baldur’s Gate 3 round out my options. I spent a lot of time especially with the latter this week. There is something special when you introduce friends to a game like this. Especially when you let them make the choices. There is always more to discover in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Pokémon Go

I did not get to go on a proper Pokémon Go Adventure this week as I was at Gasperilla all weekend. I did however scout for places to check out in Tampa and Clearwater, Florida while I was there. And there is a lot to explore on both these cities not to mention St Petersburg. Not the one in Russia of course. Though I’m sure when that country is not causing problems in other countries I am sure it is worth visiting that St Petersberg too.

Anyway, back to Pokémon Go, I did battle in my grassroots league this week. And I hit a major milestone there. For the first time ever in a tournament setting for this game, I managed to win all three of my games. I’m hoping I can pull something like that off again and soon.

As for PvP in the Go Battle League, I’m content to coast along and simply collect rewards. I really wanted to try new teams, but unless I want to lose many games to get into a lower tier of skill level to do so, I’ll have to battle people using teams that are very meta. And since I find that boring this season, its making me reluctant to play when it isn’t a special cup active. None are happening at the moment.

Anime and Shows

Given how chaotic this week was, I did not get a chance to watch all the shows currently airing that I’m interested in. Sentenced to be a Hero, and To Your Eternity are the ones I did get to. While I am behind on Fire Force, Frieren Beyond Journeys End, and Oshi No Ko. Given how few of the shows I watched, I find it silly to try and rate the ones I did. I’ll leave that for next week.

I did however binge watch all of season 2 of Fiona and Cake. I dare say, this season was even more remarkable than the first one. And that’s a tall order considering how spell gripped I have been with both this show and Adventure Time in general. The last couple episodes especially had my crying like I hadn’t in a long time. What a beautiful message that I will not spoil on this blog.

I’m still watching One Piece and not so slowly chipping away at Dressrosa. I’m finally in the home stretch of this arc. With less than 30 episodes left, I feel like I’m at the end of a long race. There is no more time for slow and steady, I intend to finish this arc within the next week or two and at long last move on to the next one. I genuinely have enjoyed the arc. I just wish it didn’t drag so much. Which is a common complaint of this arc.

Dungeons & Dragons

I did not get to run a session of my Centrum Glacies Campaign. But that is fine because it gives me more time to prep and make the story that much better. I’m getting ideas from the shows I’m watching and the games I’m playing. So a delay can be turned into a benefit.

Writing and Editing

I am continuing to write the first draft of my fifth Search for Eden Novel. I am going full speed ahead until I finish the book. Then I’ll turn my focus to other matters. This book serves as my first dive into proper science fiction and its taking a lot of time away from writing and towards research. And yet this isn’t a bad thing because I’m learning a lot about all sorts of topics and realizing more and more how little I actually understand.

Reading and Podcasts

I have continued listening to Behind the Bastards led by Robert Evans and learning about some truly horrible people. As I was traveling a lot this week, I got plenty of chances to listen to episodes. And so I learned about the man who created the submarine that killed several people, how AI is ruining children’s books, and the Proud Boys Manifesto and how stupid their entire ideology is.

I read more of Claymore which continues to show how Berserk inspired it. I’m not far off from where the Anime ended. And I can’t wait to see where the Manga takes me next.

Wrap Up

As we head towards the February, don’t forget to take a deep breath and let all that stress out. Its been a terrifying year so far. But the tide is turning. What we are all seeing should serve as a warning and preview of what might happen next. Things are escalating fast, and so we need to be ready to stand firm against The Felon.

And outside of The Felon, Capitalism, The One World Order that Libertarians claim we need to fear while they worship it tries to reduce our lives to monetary value. It is up to us to build lives that stand in defiance of this. Art cannot be quantified by capital and that is why those in power continue to demonize it alongside Liberal Arts. Anything demonized by Fascists is something that we should all care about. Because anything they oppose is what will help bring them down.

Anyway, you know who also doesn’t understand art and sentimental stuff at all? The Felon. Let’s outlast him in 2026. As humans, let’s show love and light to those we care about. Those things are what make us better people. In fact its what makes us human. Our heartbeats are greater than anything he stands for. While he destroys, we rebuild. Our hearts craft beauty and wonder despite his parasitic presence. And we will only become stronger once he is no longer in our way. We will Survive The Felon together and unstoppable. ICE will melt and we will endure.

As a reward for finishing this blog post, here is a picture of a cat ignoring me while hoping that his food bowl will give him dinner.
