Surviving the Felon: Week of 12/06/2025
I’m back with another installment of Surviving the Felon. Now that we are into December we are getting close to one year since The Felon started a reign of terror that has gripped our hearts and minds. But the fact that I am still here writing is a sign that he has failed to scare me into silence. And I assume that since you are here reading this blog, that he has failed to control you too.
I have been avoiding a lot of the terrible things happening both in the United States and around the world because flooding the zone is horrible for mental health. But earlier this week, I made the mistake of reading a lightning round. There was a lot of terrible things to read, but many of those horrible things can be grouped into categories. While this doesn’t take away from the evil, it helps an empath like myself from feeling hopeless.
Yet even as the sun shines less in the northern hemisphere, there are reasons to believe in hope. Light is slowly prevailing against this terrible darkness. And people refusing to give in is at the heart of it. Even if our protests are not visible we endure. While the news wants to push The Felon at all hours of the day for profits, those of us who are fighting back are focusing on other aspects of the world and not falling into the dirt they placed for us to fall into. And should you find someone trying to get out of that mud, including those who were fooled by The Felon’s lies, do not hesitate to help them up.
But its never wrong to be cautious around those who wanted to hurt you in the past. Do good, but its fine to be wary about who you give your energy too.
The Bad
While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage Foundation, Peter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.
An ordered list seems to be the best way to get through this section and so I’ll continue doing so. Negativity is the news’s specialty. And I want to focus on resisting and the positivity. But those bad things cannot be ignored. Giving it the least thought and fewest words is a proper compromise.
Everything ICE is doing in a city near you, Healthcare Costs going way up, Food Stamps running out, Genocide in Sudan, Conflict in the Middle East, The Felon investigating political enemies, The realization that our world is run by pedophiles, Rising Antisemitism, threats of violence against politicians who don’t obey The Felon, rising threats of war in Venezuela, the Military being forced to obey illegal orders, Rising Tensions between Japan and China
The Good
Well we made it past the bad and unfortunately I didn’t delete anything from last week. In fact I added something new. But I am not the mainstream media. And I don’t want to focus on the bad anymore. Instead I want to start this section with something that is making it harder for autocrats to face off with one another. And that topic relates to cultures interesting with one another in positive ways. Even when governments clash, the people in those countries enjoy cultures interacting with one another for the sake of better art.
Video Games that have helped cultures share their quirks with people around the world in other countries has made the world a better place. Humans are better when we work together. And more and more people are realizing this. These ideas weaken dictators and get in the way with the us verses them mentality that those bad people push.
Seeing those different from us as human has helped people be brave enough to stand up to ICE. Not to mention people like The Felon being unable to control everyone. Even grifters who seek to poison the minds of the up and coming since and the Manosphere are weakening. People are realizing that they are being conned and while realizing that that they have been tricked is hard to admit, they are starting to walk away. That is the first step towards recovery.
Transition
Well I made the mistake of looking at more politics this week. And it affected my mood. So let’s get away from that stuff for a bit. Time to pivot away from the negative stuff and towards the more newsletter related stuff. We all need to find the reasons to smile so that we can keep fighting the good fights. And I have no problem sharing what I choose to do so.
This blog has been a check in for my friends as well as one for myself. Community building starts by being in tune with yourself. A healthier you means you can help others be healthy too. To that end, I am proud of my accomplishments this year. And no matter what my depression and anxiety try to make me believe, I will fight the battle against those dark spots of my brain too.
Thanksgiving used to be one of the worst days of the year for me. But no longer. Now its a day for me to reflect and think about how much I have improved over the years. Christmas and New Years are coming too. And those days have sent me on similar journeys. I’m eager to see how those days affect me this year.
Workouts
Despite having a schedule this week that should have prevented my habit forming workouts, I managed to stick to my Monday Wednesday Friday schedule. I won’t be upping the difficulty of my workouts yet. Having a consistent schedule matters more. As does doing the workouts correct. As I reach the point where I don’t hurt after each workout and am doing everything each week as a habit, then I’ll make things harder and even look into adding more to what I’m already doing.
Video Games
The weather let me go outside several days back to back. And I did. But that didn’t mean I didn’t play video games. Because of course I did. Playing these games helps me interact with people when I don’t have the energy to leave the house. And this is what I spend my I need space time doing. This time I’m playing Civilization 7 while I write this section of the blog post.
I also played Genshin Impact, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Pokemon Legends Z-A. Genshin had a new patch this week and the new Archon Quest was another in a long line of exceptional storytelling. I patiently waited years for the information being added in the last few story beats. And I can only wait with anticipation for more.
I’ll get to something that I have been waiting on for years in a moment, but before I talk about that game, I want to mention two other games I played while waiting for a highly anticipated game. Not only did I play more Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker, but I also played another game from my childhood, Fire Emblem Blazing Blade.
The reason I revisited my childhood was to get my mind ready for the main event. And while I’m not sure how many weeks after this I’ll be mentioning it, at least for this week and next, I’ll be focusing on Metroid Prime 4. So far the things people have complained about have not bothered me. And the parts I’m enjoying have me wanting to play more and more. But I don’t want to rush through everything for the sake of enjoying the full experience.
Pokémon Go
This week I went on another Pokémon Adventure. And although it was a short walk around a park, any time I am outside is a moment where I can smile and find some inner peace. When I explore the world with Pokémon Go, I’m doing something that culture tells me not to. And that is enjoying the world instead of spending all my time making a rich person richer. And yes I realize that playing Pokémon Go is making some people rich.
A new PvP season started this week. And this time around rankings aren’t part of the equation. That means I’ll be trying some weird teams and not only will it not matter if I don’t constantly win, but I’ll be able to earn some rewards that normally are reserved for Legend Rank players. If you are reading this and play Pokémon Go at all, this is the season to play PvP. Losses mean basically nothing, and eventually you will get the wins for the rewards.
There were a few events to get me outside this week, notably a December Community Day that features every featured Community Day mon throughout the year. But the upcoming main event is next week in Miami. I’m looking forward to that adventure immensely.
Anime and Shows
This week, I did watch all the shows that are airing each week. Those shows include Spy x Family, To Your Eternity, Gachiakuta, and Isekai Quartet. Of those four, once more To Your Eternity is the standout show. Gachiakuta had a good run being better in my eyes for the last few weeks, but I’m back to being an emotional wreck after this weeks episode of To Your Eternity as I’m constantly wondering who is emotionally stable in a show filled with despair and dysfunction.
I did watch a few episodes of One Piece this week. Actually more than a few. Probably will still be in Dressrosa next week, but every episode is another closer to being all caught up. Its not due to not being interested. In fact its the opposite. I just have not had time to sit down and watch several episodes.
Dungeons & Dragons
I ran an extremely fun session of my Centrum Glacies Campaign which can be read here. My players defeated a Dragon I didn’t intend for them to fight yet using the most dangerous and powerful force in most video games: Gravity. I’m sure they were happy to use that against the monster rather than it being used on them.
Writing and Editing
This week, I went back to editing my Earth Everafter Novel. I have a lot of changes to make and its becoming increasingly clear that I’ll have to do a second round of editing of this entire novel once I finish the first time around. But I’m willing to do what it takes to transform this book into my best one. it’s my chance to finally become an author of notice if I can break out of the pack with this story.
Reading
This week I read something a bit different. Rather than continue Manga or Webtoons, I wanted to focus on promoting my work better. And to that end I read Branding Yourself. One of the authors of that book is a friend and mentor of mine who has been exceptionally helpful and supportive of my own writing journey. If you are feeling stuck in Capitalism and want some ideas on how to make yourself to standout and escape the rat race, you should give this a read. Its written by Authors who are sympathetic to this plight. This isn’t a simple and scummy self help book.
Wrap Up
Well, things might seem bad right now, and as we make it through the holidays, we might even be forced to come in contact with people who hate that we simply exist. Even during these tense moments, we need to remain strong. December will come and go, and once we reach January, we can smile knowing we survived one year under The Felon. And may we all outlive his evil. The clock is ticking and I have hope we can outlast him.
This time of year can be taxing and exhausting. Hence why for many people, its time to sit on the sidelines for a little while and watch the Fascists burn each other. Don’t draw attention to yourself if you are not wanting to. Sometimes waiting in the shadows for the proper moment to act is best. Focus on yourself and grow stronger. When you have the energy to resist, your defiance will be stronger than before.
The Felon’s health is failing. His mind is failing. His dreams our failing. Everything has always been failure for The Felon. And at long last when he fails at life too, we will endure. Our heartbeats are greater than anything he stands for. While he destroys, we rebuild. Our hearts craft beauty and wonder despite his parasitic presence. And we will only become stronger once he is no longer in our way. We will Survive The Felon together and unstoppable.

As a reward for making it all the way to the end, here is an adorable sleeping cat.
