Surviving the Felon: Week of 7/19/2025

Admin/ July 20, 2025/ Anime, Books, Centrum Glacies, Dungeons and Dragons, Earth Everafter, Pokémon Go, Political, Surviving the Felon, Video Games

I’m back with another instalment of Surviving The Felon. How are we doing as we make it through the last couple weeks of July? Tired and frustrated? I know I am. There are people starting to wake up to the nightmare that is our reality, but too many seem to think we are marching towards Fascism rather than accepting the cruel reality that it is already long here.

From concentration camps to gutting education, there is a whole lot to keep us up at night as The Felon and his cronies speed run Nazi Germany at record pace. Should it make us feel better that they might be worried that we are still capable of overthrowing them? Perhaps. After all, the news stations are being gutted and silenced. If propaganda was not needed they wouldn’t be creating so much of it.

Anyway, I already spent a large portion of this section previewing the bad part of this post. And as I have said before and will no doubt say again, spreading misery is not the point of this blog. The news already does that well enough. Instead I want to remind everyone, especially those trapped in dark places that we still need to have hope. We all need to find reasons to smile as we resist and defy The Felon. To that end as usual I’ll be sharing how I am making that happen in my personal life.

The Bad

While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage FoundationPeter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.

Well the bad is supposed to be reserved for one section of this blog and you have found yourself at it. So let’s get this out of the way. The concentration camps like the one in Florida are filling up. And as due process has been completely ignored there is no way to know who is innocent and who is guilty. This of course ignores the fact that no person regardless of the crimes they are being accused of deserves to be trapped in a concentration camp.

Meanwhile extreme weather continues to be extreme. Nature doesn’t like when living creatures mess it up. And its almost sad to see that the Fascists are admitting that the weather can be effected by humans. Sad because they are blaming wild and stupid conspiracy theories rather than the very real oil companies who have known that they are to blame for more than fifty years.

Education is being gutted and those who dared to try and be educated are being punished by more extreme student loan measures. Fascism does not like educated people. After all, who will they claim is the next group to be murdered if the masses are smart enough to see through the bullshit? Better to kill them both physically and financially. I might be a bit biased on this one since it directly impacts me.

Oh and while it has become tiring to talk about the Israeli Palestinian Conflict at this point, I recommend people look into what’s going on in Syria right now with the Druz population if you want to see what an actual genocide looks like. To the surprise of no one who has been paying attention for more than the last few years, crickets everywhere.

The Good

Well the bad is out of the way now. And Google SEO thinks its too long between subheadings. I’m starting this section by saying fuck it to what Google wants. They are a large part of the internet becoming a crappier place. Their hand in making the internet better at first does not nullify this. But that is technically more negative. So let’s focus on what is good in the world instead.

The Epstein Files and all related are breaking the GOP up. For a long time now I have been pushing for pitting Conservatives against each other. We shouldn’t let the Fascists be the only ones dividing and conquering. And so it pleases me that so many on the right are angry about this issue. Just wait till they realize how many of the people they look up to are pedophiles.

Speaking of pedophiles, I have no problem stating that The Felon is a Rapist, a Pedophile, and a Domestic Terrorist. I do not fear the FBI or the NSA coming for me for speaking that truth. Let The Felon be worried about me. That gives time for other like minded people to do the same to him. We should live without fear of speaking the truth. Our Government is our servants. The Felon is my servant as is he yours.

One more good thing. The Felon’s health is declining and they can no longer hide it. I hope that I’ll need to change the name of this blog and soon. It would bring me immense joy to see his obituary on the front page of the paper. Remember folks, live your life so that people do not throw parties to celebrate you dying.

Transition

Now its time for me to pivot away from the politics of the United States and the greater world so that I can talk about my personal life. Things might seem overwhelming right now and I have cut back on some of the things that make me smile. There is only so much I can do in a day with the limited energy I have. Not to mention the summer heat making it dangerous to be outside in Florida. The Felon isn’t the only thing I intend to outlast.

But I made some tangible progress this week. Even as I feel exhausted from the heat. Even if I feel like my life has grown stagnant of late, there are ways I’m pushing forward to make my life better. Well it’s time to look at what made me smile this week. If you are looking for something to take your mind off your troubles, feel free to check the links to all the things I’m referencing.

Video Games

Naturally if I can’t go outside, then my favorite activity when I’m inside takes center stage. I platinumed Elden Ring so you might be surprised to know that its not the game I’m currently playing as I write this blog post. Nope, its not Genshin Impact either. Believe it or not, I’m playing Expedition 33 right now. The game like the two I mentioned above has plenty of checkpoints and I’m using the enemy encounters as breaks between playing as well. Genshin has a lot to look forward to soon. The next patch is gonna be a big one.

I finished my Honor Mode run of Baldur’s Gate 3 successfully. Which is quite an achievement given the low number of people steam claims have cleared it. I will flex my golden dice with pride. And my friends and I already started another playthrough. We have the Honor mode bonuses on the fights, but none of the only one save file restrictions which make such a playthrough perilous.

I also spread some democracy in Helldivers 2 this week. Now that I cleared honor mode I want to spend a bit more time with this game. Its been helping me overcome toxic behaviors in multiplayer and anything to be a better person is welcome. Certainly while playing such a silly game with an important premise.

Pokémon Go

The Florida heat continues to grow more extreme by the day, and so I’m still holding off on going on a Pokémon Go Adventure. I can’t wait till the summer heat fades and I can go on proper walks again. Hikes and exploring parks help me fight depression off. I’ll continue turning to other methods until its safe to be outside again.

But that doesn’t mean I have nothing to look forward to in Pokémon Go. Aegislash is about to make its debut in the game and its already creating waves. Whether its good or not in PvP, its still one of my favorite Pokémon and so I’ll be catching as many Honedge as I can while its available.

Speaking of PvP I’m still struggling. I don’t want to think last season was a fluke and getting to Veteran is an impossible goal this season, but I need to improve a lot before I can climb my way back up there. And the stress may not be worth it.

Anime and Shows

Its been a stacked summer for Anime. There are so many shows to watch and so much cringe to be had. I’m unapologetically watching several cringe comedy this season even though I usually hate that genre. But that is not all I am watching. And even the cringe comedy is peak enough to take away from me watching One Piece as much as I would otherwise. I’ll make some time for it though since I’m so close to the timeskip.

As for what I’m watching, here is the list thus far:  Dan Da DanMy Dress Up DarlingCall of the NightDr. Stone, and Rising of the Shield Hero, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, and Kaiju No. 8. There is some serious action going on with the less cringe ones. Dan Da Dan has had some incredible fight scenes this season and I know that Kaiju No. 8 is gonna deliver. I’m pleased with Rising of the Shield Hero so far after a couple disappointing seasons. And Panty & Stocking keeps bringing laughs just as I hoped.

Dungeons & Dragons

I once more ran a session of my Centrum Glacies Campaign. It was another combat heavy session initially. But that changed when they defeated some powerful Aberrations and found themselves deep underground in a complex filled with technology they don’t recognize. You can read about their most recent misadventure here.

Writing and Editing

I didn’t get a lot of writing done this week. But I did get a ton of editing done. In fact, I finally caught up with where my editor made suggested changes. For a brief time I will get to let him take a look at another section we already cleaned up once. I’m confident with a second round of editing that the next section of Earth Everafter 1 will be even better.

Reading

I’m hitting a wall as I continue trying to read this week. I think its time to try reading another book and then when I’m in the mindset where I can enjoy The Book of Dust, I’ll come back to it.

Wrap Up

Well, another week has gone by. As things continue to get dimmer, it only means we must find our lights and make them shine that much brighter. Continue to smile, even if you feel sad and broken on the inside. Don’t do it because some creep thinks that’s the mature way to express yourself either. Do it because the world makes money off our despair and being happy is rebellion.

If you are feeling down, reach out to a friend you have not spoken to in a while. Perhaps they are feeling down too and you can help each other. In fact helping one another is how we not only make it through this nightmare, but also protect our society from when the Fascists try again. Their power is in fear and hate. And so our countermeasures must be built in courage and love.

Do not fear to speak your truth. Silence is a powerful weapon of the enemy. Until the time comes where our voices drown The Felon out, do not be afraid to be the only sound. For even if you cannot hear them, our hearts beat as one. Not just across the United States, but the world too. We must not fear enemies everywhere. Instead imagine a planet where allies abound. The first thought to making a better future is imagining it.

We will Survive the Felon. Together we can outlast him. Our health is better than his. The world will be brighter in a future without his blight darkening it. Do not fear. We can win. Together.

Be blessed with two cats today.
