Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: George W Starke Park
For my next adventure, I traveled to George W Starke Park. Not far from where I live, its location is a bit secluded.

George W Starke Park is located in an isolated corner of Sanford. And so the park is quiet and feels separate from the world. Which works perfectly for it. Minus a train horn in the background, there was little outside noise to take away from the quiet and peaceful greenery.
While the park is open for the most part, a winding path will take you through it. And there are plenty of features to look at. Enough that I didn’t get to show them all. The basketball court was in use and couldn’t take pictures of it so that I wouldn’t add random people to the blog.
Outside of that basketball court, I did get pictures of most of the rest. There is a little creek that flows through the middle of the park. And that means there is a bridge that takes you across from one side to the other.
There is also a playground for the little ones to use. But part of it was in use so I only got photos from a distance. Also in use were several small shelter spots to keep visitors out of the sun. But several were empty so I got pictures of those at least.
Pokémon Go:

While George W Starke Park is varied in reality, Pokémon Go tells a different tale. While there are a few spawns, as you can see in the above image, there are no Pokestops or Gyms. Due to that fact, I can’t recommend this park for a Pokémon Go experience at all. There are much better options nearby. If you are looking for a quiet little corner of the universe, this is a place to check out. But not to play this specific video game.

I’m still walking this Leavanny and it will be my buddy for a little longer as I max friendship out with it. Once that is complete, you can look forward to another past familiar face.

Speaking of familiar faces, here is mine. I’ll be going on more adventures throughout the month of June as I have some more free time for a bit. You can look forward to all sorts of new places as I continue exploring Florida, and the world.
