Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Wirz Park
My next adventure took my to Wirz Park. There is a clear theme here. I imagine you can figure out what.
Its baseball by the way. Wirz Park is completely and utterly dedicated to baseball. I have visited several parks that have fields dedicated to the sport. But those other parks have remained silent and empty thanks partially to Covid. But not this one. I had to continually take pictures with care because of how many people were using those fields.
Even though there is plenty of greenspace available, none of it was being used in a clear way. All visitors, save me were in the dugouts or making use of the fields. Meanwhile I was just doing what I normally do and taking pictures of moments.
Along the walkways sat flowers that had been tended with care. Wirz Park is well maintained and stands out because of it. Its honestly amazing that I never realized this park was here given its close proximity to multiple major roads. Then again the entire reason I started this blog in the first place was due to that realization.
Pokémon Go:
Wirz Park is dedicated to baseball. And Pokémon Go did not have an incredible showing as a result. I was a little surprised that the game didn’t even mark it on the map. Well that tells you what you need to know. Visit the park to play ball. A Gym and Pokestop are not enough on their own to visit if that is your only purpose for coming by.
Getting close to enough candy to evolve Axew. Enjoy the pictures of this cute baby Dragon before they are gone. Axew enjoyed Wirz Park though I imagine its little hands would not allow it to swing a bat. Then again given the moves it can learn in game, maybe it would surprise me.
Wrap Up:
Here I am happy to be out of my house and at a park. Never really been much of a baseball fan, but a park is a park. Where there is green space, you will find me exploring.
