Centrum Glacies 2021 Session 22: Jealousy and Hate
Week 22 in 2021 of this Dungeons and Dragons Campaign in Centrum Glacies continues as the party gets saved because of jealousy and hate.
Like my other campaign, I’m turning this one into a book series. However I’m still working on that project. Give it some time.
Anyway, just like my other campaign, there is a whole lot going on and I don’t want to elaborate on every moving piece in the story. You can see the whole thing once the book series starts hitting virtual and real shelves.

This story deals with a cruel world with some horrific twists. So far, this campaign has featured: Animals getting killed, Genocide, lots of body horror, evil cults, brainwashing, torture.
Most recently one of the party members had an eye gouged out and lost an arm. Not exactly the way it happens in Berserk, but that might have been the inspiration for it. The group at large is currently succumbing to magical wounds that appear to be turning them into Demons.

The group was now trapped in a three way fight. Not only was a Psychic Vampire trying to kill them and feed on their thoughts, but now a love crazed Demon had come back. And the Demoness was so dangerous that the Orcs started freaking out. Sirens were blaring all around the town. The walls glowed with a strange light. It was like nothing the group had ever seen.
Meanwhile Faxina tried to kill Zin. The Demoness had superior strength and some powers that even the Psychic Vampire had never seen before. But the Platinum Adventurer managed to keep her cool.
However, Faxina became enraged when Faustus said that Zin intended to steal him away from her. The party feared the Psychic Vampire more than the Demon and tried to coax the psychotic stalker in wannabe lover into eliminating her for them.
Killing with Fire:
The Group defeated Ghouls and kept the shopkeepers away from Faustus. Not without a lot of effort though. As it turned out, the four Shopkeepers had earned their Gold Rank Adventurer Status. They each had unique abilities and countless tricks. Malcolm notably wondered what these four were capable of when an enraged Demon wasn’t controlling them.
Zyn revived her undead with spores. These were not normal undead. they were controlled not through Necromancy, but Druid Magic. And the weather only reminded the group of the danger Zinbella posed if she got away from the furious Demon.
But Trent was a Druid as well. He knew how to counteract nature. And given the level of perversion, had no issue revealing this secret to his allies. Naturally, the used fire and destroyed the undead. This time for good.
Reversal:
The fight between Demon and Psychic Vampire raged and grew more violent by the minute. Faxina ripped off most of Zin’s arm, leaving a dangling limb. The group cheered as they thought this would be the end of a dangerous adversary. But they were wrong. Almost dead wrong.
Faxina was consumed with jealousy and hate. These were emotions ripe for feeding. As a Psychic Vampire, Zin ate those thoughts up and her wounds started to fade away. But there was even more. Soon the battle got turned around.
Zin manipulated her feelings and thoughts. This distraction proved the best opportunity for her next attack. At the moment, the Psychic Vampire’s arm was longer than normal. And she used her superior reach to use that limb like a spear. Such a weapon ripped through one of the Demon’s wings. Now it the Zin’s turn to be in control of this fight.
The Psychic Vampire used her final trump card and cast Banish. She banished the Succubus away from the Orc city. The barrier around the walls faded and the group prepared to fight her once more.
Yet Zin looked exhausted and didn’t seem to be in the mood to fight anymore today. She vowed to kill the party next time before fading into mist.
The party thought they understood the dangers they faced with Englique. But facing a Platinum Adventurer means taking on people with diverse powers. Zinbella was able to control the weather, raise the dead, banish Demons, and manipulate people’s thoughts. She seems to have earned her reputation.

What will happen next. Will the party be allowed to stay near the Orcs when they have revealed that such a powerful Demon is following them?
