Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Westmonte Park
I decided to check out Westmonte Park for my next adventure. Its right next to the Seminole Wekiva Trail and had a lot inside.
I’m trying something a little different with this post. Westmonte Park had a lot of things to check out in a condensed space. So to reflect that experience, I have decided to put all the images from that adventure in one condensed space as well.
There is a lot to do at Westmonte Park and the signage was proof of that. I loved how they even pointed to the fastest path to each activity. I wasn’t the only one here either. Plenty of people visited despite Covid numbers increasing again. It was Friday too, though at the time I was convinced it was Saturday.
Forgetting that it was summer since the pandemic has messed with my perception of time, I was confused why there were so many kids at the park if it wasn’t the weekend. Of course in hindsight its pretty obvious why.
Still, with such large crowds, I picked all my pictures with care. No matter how many times I mention it on this blog, I won’t get over the fear of coming off suspicious while exploring the world. In fact, one of my recent posts had an incident where someone did ask me what I was doing.
Anyway, Westmonte Park has a lot to offer. Basketball Courts, a Swimming Pool, open space, Tennis, and more. I won’t spoil everything there is to find. After all, why would you come here for yourself if I told you everything?
This park was a great find. If not for adventuring around the Seminole Wekiva Trail, I never would have known it was here. Its one of the main reasons I chose to make this blog.
Pokémon Go:
Westmonte Park has a lot to do outside of Pokemon Go, but its worth coming here to play as well. Plenty of stops dot the park. Spawns were continuous as I walked around. Even making a second lap around the park did not exhaust them. With two gyms as well, I would recommend coming here for something different. Even if you are not exploring the Seminole Wekiva Trail, Westmonte Park is worth it both in reality and in Pokémon Go.
After the sheer number of them that I caught during an event a few months back, I never want to see a Swirlix again. I also hate fairy types since Hydreigon is my favorite Pokémon
Here I am at Westmonte Park. Standing in the shade and still looking upset over nothing. I had fun though, I promise.
I’ll be back on the Seminole Wekiva Trail for my next post. There is a lot of ground to cover and the Florida heat is ramping up. It might be a slow journey, but at least I won’t be sitting at home.
