Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Fletcher Park
For my next adventure in San Marco Florida, I visited Fletcher Park. After my amazing adventure the other day, I knew it would be hard for the next park to be as fun.

I visited Fletcher Park at an unusual time. Normally, I go exploring in the morning when temperatures are more mild. Or if I am feeling like doing something different, I’ll go out at night. This time I explored during sunset. Results were a bit mixed. The lighting was a bit strange in a few of the photos.
Fletcher Park is really two different places in the same one block area. The first spot I visited was the San Marco Preservation Society. All the buildings were closed, but that didn’t matter. I don’t normally go inside building on my adventures anyway.
I initially feared that I was trespassing when I walked past the closed buildings. It was completely empty and even more silent. Surprising since San Marco was still all around me with a major road (Atlantic Blvd) just to the north of where I stood.

The other half of Fletcher Park was the park proper. Sadly, I didn’t find too much. A fountain, walkable paths, and park benches. All seem to be standard fare in the San Marco Parks. But that means that since Fletcher Park had little else to offer, I ended up disappointed.
I’m not saying that this place isn’t a nice place to check out. Quite the contrary. Instead what I mean to say is that this park is more of the same. I’m seeking different places now that I have been to so many parks in close proximity. Perhaps if the Preservation Society was open, this location would have had more to offer.
Pokémon Go:

Sadly Fletcher Park was just as disappointing in Pokémon Go as it was in reality. Since I checked this place out during a Tuesday Pokémon Hour I didn’t get to find out whether this spot was a nest or not. Also I have caught enough Finneon. I don’t need anymore of that forgettable Pokémon and its even more forgettable evolution Lumineon.
If you are looking for a close by Pokémon Go experience, go into downtown San Marco. That location has far more Pokestops, Gyms and spawns.

Looks like this Eevee had more fun exploring Fletcher Park than I did. Probably had something to do with the sun. I am evolving it into Espeon after all.

Here I am again. This time at Fletcher Park. I was the only one here so I didn’t wear my mask. Not sure why I look so serious in this picture.
There are still plenty of San Marco parks to explore. I intend to check them all out. Both the impressive and the mundane. Look forward to more content soon.
