Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Lake Baldwin Park
After checking out basically everything around it, I finally arrived at Lake Baldwin Park proper. Many of the other places I visited recently are connected in some form to this place.
The first place I decided to explore when I arrived at Lake Baldwin Park was the outer perimeter of the Dog Park. I do not have a dog and my cat would not be happy in such a place. Being an outsider, I kept to the outside area as well.
Even looking inside, I saw open fields, plenty of shade and a safe environment for pet lovers and the four legged friends. Perhaps if I ever become a Dog Parent in my own right, I’ll pay this place another visit.
Moving past the Dog Park, I continued exploring the path that makes up Lake Baldwin Park. The shade continued as I followed the trail. Luckily for those of you tired of lake pictures, the path stays away from the water and keeps closer to the other parks I explored prior.
The trail moves around the Lake Baldwin in a snakelike motion as it completes its full circle. Much of that circle was explored prior, so I continued until I ran into places I had been before.
The Final Stretch:
The final leg of my journey through Lake Baldwin Park left the shade behind. Exposed once again to the open sun, this part of the trip looked like many of the areas I had explored prior.
But this is hardly a bad thing. Baldwin Park in general is a beautiful place filled with so much to see and do. The fact that I have spent so many blog posts exploring this area is testament to that fact.
The lake is more visible in this part of the part and I made sure to get a photo of it just for those who are tired of seeing water in so many of my blog posts. There is one other thing to note as I reached the end of my walk. Let’s talk about the field in that last picture. That is the edge of Blue Jacket Park. Truly that area is even larger than Lake Baldwin Park and the other places that make it up.
Pokemon Go:
It would be difficult if not downright impossible to get an image of Lake Baldwin Park in Pokemon Go. Instead, I opted to showcase the small piece of the larger whole that I explored today. Like the Veterans Memorial Park which also is partially visible in the above image (top right corner) there are tons of spawns here.
Indeed, this park is a Pokemon Nest. But the two Gyms, plenty of Poke Stops and a massive lake perfect for hatching eggs adds to the draw of coming here to play Pokemon Go. All in all, Lake Baldwin Park and the surrounding areas are fantastic places to play the game. Next time you are looking for that perfect mix of nature and human experience but want Pokemon Go as well, look no further than Baldwin Park.
It should surprise no one that I hatched two more eggs on my journey around Baldwin Park. Also unsurprising to any who read these posts, neither of these hatches were very worthwhile to me. One day, probably in the far far future, I will actually hatch the Pokemon I desire.
There is only one more park remaining in Baldwin Park to explore before I return to the Cady Way Trail. Look forward to this conclusion of a large project.
