Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Cady Way Trail 3
After a long adventure in Baldwin Park, I returned to Cady Way Trail 3. The third part of the path takes me north into Winter Park.
The first section of Cady Way Trail 3 took me past Baldwin Park and right past the Winter Pines Golf Club. I am not a golfer and I lack the membership to explore this area. Getting pictures from the path is the best I can do to showcase that region.
As you can see, the Golf Course is a beautiful area as is normal with such places. I’ll keep my opinions of how that land could be better used to myself since this is not a political post. Instead I’ll reflect on the fact that I wanted to go there and play Pokemon Go.
The next section of Cady Way Trail 3 took me through a narrow region. Wedged between two neighborhoods, there was little to do here but move forward. The most notable feature of this part of the path was some of the custom bridges built to reach personal backyards. I took a picture of one such bridge.
The next section of Cady Way Trail 3 continued the trend of keeping between two neighborhoods. The route zigzagged a couple times to stay wedged between the two areas for longer.
However, after the curve, something new did appear. I once again encountered construction signs along this trail. Glad that there was no detour this time around, I took pictures of what the maintenance crews were up to. You will see more of that in a moment.
Expanded Space:
After being in such a small space for so long on Cady Way Trail 3, this section finally opened up a bit. The repair crews were hard at work as I went by. As were others who made use this area to walk their pets or go for a run.
Many bikers make use of Cady Way Trail. Quite a few of them passed me as I continued on my walk. A sure sign as any that I was approaching another park.
Despite the area around Cady Way Trial 3 being wider at this part, the two neighborhood still sit on both sides. At this point, public bridges replace the personal ones to leave the path. Some of them are quite sturdy like the one pictured above.
Also back at this point of the trail, the split path returned. I still like this setup of bikers and walkers having their own designated paths. Don’t mind the fact that I did not pay attention to directions and went the wrong way at this point.
The last picture above showcases where I stopped for the day. That is Cady Way. Is the street named for the trail or the trail named for the street? I have no idea. Maybe I’ll find out one day.
Pokemon Go:
Despite only having one Pokestop the entire way, Cady Way Trail 3 was great for Pokemon Go. Plenty of spawns dotted the way and most of them were rarer mons too. I found lots of Cyndaquil at one point for example.
The nearby Golf Course would be an amazing place to play if I could actually enter it. Just being nearby it on the trail allowed me to catch lots of stuff. The parks are still better than the trail, but unlike many other parts of Cady Way Trail, this section is worthwhile in its own right.
Since I walked a great deal around Cady Way Trail 3, I was rewarded with plenty of egg hatches. Sadly, while none of them truly were terrible, especially the Feebas, none were impressive either.
There are two parks nearby that I will explore before I continue on to my favorite part of Cady Way Trail. Look forward to that.
