Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Langford Park
I explored Langford Park again and this time the sun was out. I managed to snap a lot of pictures and even discovered areas of the park that I never would have noticed in the dark. Let’s see what I discovered.
I walked past the entrance area which was the place I explored last night. This time, I managed to get a picture of the playground when no children were present. Afterwards I walked down the path towards the park proper. However, I spotted a detour.
I discovered a wooden bridge that took me into the nearby woods and marshes. Though I have been to Langford Park briefly, I had no idea of this area’s existence. As it turned out, almost half of the park is encompassed by the bridges. The experience is not complete without coming here.
Like at Lake Como Park, Langford Park has a pink bunny statue. I still have no idea what the significance of this is. However, just like at the other park, this landmark is a point of interest. However, it is not an EX Gym like at Lake Como.
There are quite a few bridges at Langford Park, courtesy of the stream that runs through the middle. I had a lot of fun walking down the bouncing bridge. This landmark is one that I remember fondly from past visits. I also like bridges that sway and move as you walk on them. It brings me back to those jungle gyms I played on as a kid.
Pokemon Go:
Though most of this picture was shown in my last post, here is Langford Park in Pokemon Go. Nearby one can see a few of the other parks I plan to visit in the near future.
Langford Park is a nest. I figured this out thanks to the special event happening right now in game. Despite Pokemon Go claiming almost exclusive Generation 3 spawns, there were lots of Seel to catch. Given that Florida has few ice types to catch, especially this one, I knew that this was the nest Pokemon.
To make up for my lack of hatching, I managed to get two egg rewards while exploring Langford Park. Sadly, neither one is anything to write home about.
Tomorrow I am going to Tampa for a close friend’s wedding. I still intend to do a travel blog post, and I am planning on seeking out a new place in that region. Never fear though, as I will be back in Orlando soon enough to check out a few more parks near this one. I have a very special place to check out when that happens.
