Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Lake Weldona Park
Sometimes I find great parks to explore. Other times, I find ones that are lacking. In the case of Lake Weldona Park though, sometimes I don’t actually find a park.
I am certain that at some point that Lake Weldona Park truly lived up to its name. However, as I walked around the lake, I saw that most of the land that could be used for recreation is now private property. Many large homes sit around this area. And they all have large fences to remind those walking around to not trespass.
I took some pictures of the path I decided to take since much of the lakefront was off limits. It really is a shame that such a nice park is mostly inside people’s yards. Many of the areas I wanted to check out were locked behind fences with “no trespassing” signs.
If you thought that Lake Weldona Park would be better in Go, you would be mistaken. There is not a single Pokestop in the park. The spawns were from the nearby neighborhood. The walk around helped me hatch an egg, but that was really it. All in all, go to one of the other parks that are nearby. That amazing group of parks that was my focus last week is right nearby.
I hatched a Cacnea in Florida. Its a shame that this Pokemon is currently spawning in a lot of places or I would have been more excited. The Hoenn event is continuing and so is my series of explorations.
