Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Lake Davis Park

Admin/ January 11, 2019/ Travel

I made an incredible find today while in search for a new park to explore. When I went to Lake Como Park a few weeks I had spotted Lake Davis Park. That was the park I went to today. But that was not all I discovered. There are many parks right nearby and I think I will spend the next couple posts talking about them

In case it was not obvious by the name, Lake Davis park is around… a lake. As you may be aware, I like taking pictures of lakes. This blog has many pictures of lakes with even more description about them. To showcase new things I have found, I have decided to group these together.

I also had many close encounters with wildlife as I walked around the lake play Pokemon Go. Usually I do not get this close to so many birds without them running away. Lake Eola being the exception to that of course. You also get a feel for the hour I was here. The sun slowly sets from picture to picture.

Orlando City Skyline:

I took two different pictures of Downtown Orlando’s Skyline. I personally like looking at cities more at night when the lights are on. Growing up in Chicago gave me a love for this night cityscapes. The entire Lake Davis Park is colored drastically different as the sun sets. The lake nearby was no less spectacular in its changes.

Pokemon Go:

It is night time in Pokemon Go in this image, as well as at the writing of this blog post. Lake Davis Park was worth making the trek to. Many rare Pokemon continued to pop up including multiple Makuhita.

While not numerous, there are a few Pokestops and a Gym around the lake. But do not let that take away from coming here. See the above image. The dark green on the map indicates parks. Notice how towards the bottom is a large clear area? That is another park and not included in what I saw today. Looking even closer and one sees multiple parks on the horizon.

For the massive number of places to check out, I would highly recommend checking out this park as well as the surrounding ones. I am pretty sure there is a small Pokemon Go Nest, but I did not have enough evidence to convince me for sure.

After going many days without hatching a single egg in my adventures, my streak of doing so has ended. Today I got a Scyther. I was very pleased until I made the mistake of checking its base stats. Realizing it was garbage, I tossed it.

Who knows where I will go next? Probably one of the other parks! Find out which one tomorrow.
