Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Hourglass Park
Hourglass park is situated between two parts of a lake that is in the shape of the name. Hourglass Lake itself is secluded in a neighborhood right near Curry Ford Road (State Road 552) and Ferncreek Avenue. I decided to check out what ended up being the smallest park I have seen for this travel blog.
Hourglass Park really is more of the empty space around the center of an hourglass. The lake makes such a shape and the park is basically a land bridge that goes out onto part of the lake. Normally when I see signs warning of Alligators I stay far away from the shore. This time I ignored the warnings and got closer to the edges.
I jumped at the many leaves falling from the trees. If I was to describe this place in one word, it would be silent. This park is one of those places where one truly could hear a pin drop. This is a perfect place to relax, but sadly that was not why I came here.
Here are two pictures of Hourglass Lake. I decided to take one shot of each bank. This was as close as I dared to get. I do not want to deal with any alligators and the marshes nearby are the perfect place for them to lurk. I imagine at some point the purpose of this park was to launch small boats. However, several signs informed that it is currently prohibited to do so.
Pokemon Go:
Look and observe the worst place I have traveled to play Pokemon Go. Not only are there no spawns here, but Pokestops are not even nearby. Honestly, unless one seeks peace and quiet, I cannot think of a reason to visit Hourglass Park as opposed to the many other areas I have explored.
I was not able to hatch any eggs today, but I will fix that for tomorrow. Who knows what I will find next?
