Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Cross Seminole Trail 7
I got back on a multi-yearlong journey and continued down Cross Seminole Trail 7. Let’s take a look at this very straightaway section of the trail.
Mile Marker 24.75:
Cross Seminole Trail 7 begins right where I left off on my last adventure. This will be the final time I pass under Toll Road 417 on this trail. Not only because the route moves away from this specific highway, but also because the northern terminus of the Tollway is only a few miles west of my location pictured above.
Florida has a lot of water. You just have to dig a bit to find it. I’m happy to see the many retention ponds that are near the ramps leading onto nearby Reinhardt Road. Who says we can’t care about the environment and build things at the same time?
Just past the highway bridge, I passed Mile Marker 24.75. I am sad that part of my trail adventure will never make it to the blog, at least not in the near future. I still experienced a whole lot and those memories won’t disappear. I just don’t have tangible proof of them is all.
Mile Marker 25:
The next section of Cross Seminole Trail 7 might look like an earlier part of one of my other adventures. This part of my journey took me on a north south alignment near a major street. There were plenty of shopping centers and stores to see from start to finish while here.
While this isn’t deep in the forest like some other segments of this trail, I like the different sights that one might see both in the woods and out here in a business district. The water retention spots and nearby open fields still make for pretty sights to see in nature. Meanwhile seeing cars constantly drive by creates a mix of sounds.
I was amazed to see that I passed Mile Marker 25.0. This trail goes quite a way. And remember that another trail in Orange County connects to this one. Its an incredible and continuous hike through some amazing Florida spots.
Mile Marker 25.25:
The next part of Cross Seminole Trail didn’t change much from the prior one. Not surprising. This section of the trail follows a major highway north to south with Interstate 4 to the west and Us Highway 17-92 to the east. As the trail heads into downtown Sanford, there are no other viable routes to get there.
Mile Marker 25.25 marked more shopping centers and empty little swamp spots. That is a lot of Central Florida in a nutshell. It just so happens that in this area that is just about all there is to see.
Mile Marker 25.5:
The next section of Cross Seminole Trail took me past one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando. Mellow Mushroom has some of my favorite pizza. I love the dough and how it tastes. Well no more talking about food. I’m extremely picky eater and would never make it as a traveler sampling foods around the world.
I will point out at this part of the adventure that I saw several help wanted signs. There are ways that businesses can easily fill those spots. I just don’t think they are willing to do what they have to to ensure it. I’ll leave what I am referring to up to the imagination.
Beyond the restaurant, I saw another sign pointing towards Interstate 4. The road does follow where I am going after all. Its no surprise that every time I near a major intersection, I see ways to reach it.
Mile Marker 25.5 sat near the end of the day’s adventure. I probably could have gone farther than I did in hindsight. But it was getting hot out and I worried that it would rain too. So I decided to stop at a near and clear landmark.
The final part of this adventure took me right up to State Road 46. Cross Seminole Trail 7 might not have had as many sights as some of the prior parts. But that is to be expected. This section of the trail only could have gone this direction. I’m sure I’ll find other amazing spots just waiting to be explored soon.
Pokémon Go:
Pokémon Go on the Cross Seminole Trail can be hit or miss. Cross Seminole Trail 7 was sort of in between. A theme that seems to embody this entire section of the trail. There were plenty of Pokestops at least since this part of the trail traveled past plenty of shopping centers and restaurants. Still, parks are normally better than the trails that lead to them. For a day walking or biking, check out the trail. For a pure Pokémon Go experience, I recommend a park instead.
I hatched a Bunnelby from an egg. Nothing more needs to be said.
Axew is gonna be my buddy for a bit longer I think. I had to show the baby Dragon one of my favorite places to get pizza in the area.
Wrap Up:
Here I am on the trail enjoying myself once more. Even if this section offered few new things, the little things all add up to new experiences.
