Surviving the Felon: Week of 06/27/2026
I’m back with another instalment of Surviving the Felon. Now that it’s the last week of June, how are we feeling? Seems like things get more bleak each week right? And not just because the news is telling us things are growing worse? The summer heat is only intensifying here in Florida and that limits the amount of time I can be outside. Escaping my screen probably would help my mental health at a time where monetizing despair has reached a recent high. I’ll just have to find alternative ways to help my well being.
For everyone fearing that they smiles are being stolen, joy being smashed apart, do not relent. What you find joy in this life is valid. The world is filled with gross things, but we are able to be aware of them while not letting them drag us into the mud. Every day we can find new reasons to push on and hope for a better future. Fascists find joy in harming others. And so it falls on everyone that isn’t a wicked sort to make a better world for friends, family, and strangers alike. Those parasites wish to steal everything. They will one day learn that nothing in this world belongs to them.
There is nothing wrong with simply breathing. Sometimes simply choosing to exist is enough. Not every moment needs to be about the hustle and making money. That’s a trick Capitalism plays to turn us into objects instead of people. Focus on leisure time and how to maximize it. The more calm you feel, the harder it is for the ruling class to push you to the brink. Your time belongs to you. They are not allowed to take it from you.
The Bad
While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage Foundation, Peter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.
An ordered list seems to be the best way to get through this section and so I’ll continue doing so. Negativity is the news’s specialty. And I want to focus on resisting and the positivity. But those bad things cannot be ignored. Giving it the least thought and fewest words is a proper compromise.
Everything ICE is doing in a City near, Cover up of ICE’s Terrorism by the FBI, Bombings in Iran and around the Middle East, A world run by pedophiles, Hate Crimes against several cultures, Election Interference, The Redacted Epstein Files, People Gambling over what War Crimes will be committed next, A Global Economy Threatened due to the Iran War, Anti Immigration Riots
The Good
Let’s move past all that negative stuff for the week. It has never been my intent to spread it on this blog. I write plenty of dark fantasy fiction for make believe horrible things. But realities negativity only drags people down which has never been one of my goals. With that in mind, let’s focus on the positive things that happened this week. And I want to start with something major that actually is giving me hope. There is a take over happening in the Democratic party, and while I have some qualms with some beliefs among this newcomer group, they do not outweigh the fact that Democratic Socialism being chosen over the status quo makes me smile. No more business as usual. Its time for change and a government that actually helps rather than hinders.
Data Centers continue to be fought against around the United States and around the world. These strains on our world bring no benefit and an endless amount of harm to the environment and our daily lives. And its clear based on how fast they can be built that we could focus the same effort to infrastructure and build another world. Maybe even with the same materials that we can gather from those data centers and the dangerous flock cameras. Remember that these places and items contain valuable metals. Oh and the same applies to those flock cameras.
And because it needs to be repeated each week and in this same section, more and more politicians that are not beholden to big money are scoring victories. The oligarchs are starting to lose power and trust me they will do something insane to try and take it back. We will not let them. This is our world. Our future that is at stake and its time we took it back. Meter by meter if need be. But each day we outlast them is another victory. The Felon is a corpse rotting away. We can survive him. And once he is gone, it will be time to mend our world and ensure that others like him cannot take power again.
Transition
I’m getting back into my usual routine which has its ups and downs. Trapped inside and getting locked into repetition is not good for me. I fought back depression and anxiety this week, but there are some things on the horizon that might make managing my mental health more difficult. And like last week, I keep thinking about how much more I could do in my life if I was not chained to a job. It makes me anxious for my future. Sometimes it feels like everything I want is slipping away.
This blog has been a check in for my friends as well as one for myself. June is here and I’m still not where I want to be. But I have found some motivation to try and reach new heights. Activities that bring me joy are so important because they keep the despair away. How much writing can I accomplish with a better head? I’m making some big changes in my life over the coming months. I’ll have more to tell when I am ready.
Anyway, its time for this blog to turn inwards and reflect. I had to battle depression and anxiety this week. Its always a threat and so it is vital that I found plenty that brought me joy. I refuse to let the mainstream media define my emotions. I’ll fight towards a better me even if I face adversity in my personal life and the world around me. The Felon will not drag me down. If you are feeling down and are searching for something to make you feel better, I’ll be providing links to those things that make me happy.
Workouts
Now that I’m back and falling back into my normal routine, I am doing my core workouts as I am supposed to. 20 reps of Jumping Jacks, Pushups, Squats, and Bicycle Kicks. And after all the walking in Chicago, I seem to have strengthened my body a bit. I’ll be increasing those reps come July.
Video Games
The weather is only growing hotter outside which means it should be no surprise that I’m choosing video games as a major stress reliever. Right now I’m playing Elden Ring while writing this blog post. No one should be shocked. With endless possibilities for builds, I keep coming back to try new things constantly. Plus its a game with plenty of checkpoints which in turn helps me break up the gaming with productive activities in between. Like writing this blog post for one.
Civilization 7, Donkey Kong 64, and Resident Evil 1 Remake also were played this week. That last one has been a lot of fun now that I am far into it. I see the appeal of this game. With plenty of well thought out puzzles, and plenty of jump scares that are well set up all combined with a perfect atmosphere to keep you on edge, I finally understand why people can’t stop praising Resident Evil 1. I can’t wait to play the rest of the series.
You might have noticed I didn’t mention Genshin Impact in the above two paragraphs. And that is because it deserved one all its own for this week. Not only is Sandrone becoming playable this week, allowing me to finally use a highly anticipated character, but after waiting since Covid for a character reveal, at long last Genshin revealed what The Tsaritsa looks like. She has been one of the most anticipated characters and one of the driving antagonists of the entire story. The fact that at long last we know what she looks like is a true sign that the game is moving towards a major story beat. And knowing how this game’s plot plays out has been a major motivator for me keep pushing myself forward even on my hardest days.
Pokémon Go
This week I took it easy in Pokémon Go. Go Fest global is coming soon and I want to keep my excitement high for that. But I want hard for several events back to back, and don’t want to burn myself out before then. The weather being scorching hot has not helped. As going outside and exploring the world is a major draw of this game. When the sun makes it dangerous to go outside, its not something I’m interested in doing.
My PvP grassroots league has died down for a bit due to it being between seasons. But I’m still getting some practice in before the next season starts. I want to improve my game and push some self doubts away.
GoBattle League has some bugs that are (hopefully) being worked out. In the meanwhile I’m taking a break from PvP until the game is a bit more stable. Its one thing to lose because I got outplayed. It is another entirely to lose to internet latency or glitchy game servers.
Anime and Shows
This week only two shows aired. One of them a series finale in fact. Dr. Stone finished this week and it was an incredible journey filled with learning too. And yet, Witch Hat Atelier had an even better episode for its season finale. I feel like the second to last episode of Dr Stone was one of its best. But last week it was overshadowed by Re:Zero. It just couldn’t catch a break in my mind.
Daemons of the Shadow Realm took as week off but will be back next week for more fun and with less Anime competition until the new season starts.
I’m making my way through the Whole Cake Island Arc of One Piece. I’m digging in, pun intended. This is my favorite arc post time skip. I am at the edge of my seat as an ever larger number of plots converge into a satisfying story. This is shaping up to be a truly nightmarish story arc. And the stakes only are getting more insane as these plots all come to fruition.
Dungeons & Dragons
My Centrum Glacies Campaign featured an incredible session where my players focused on some organic interactions between their characters while reacting a truly horrific situation. As a build towards an arc with an antagonist that has been a problem for this entire party since the very first session, I’m pleased with how things are progressing.
That emotionally charged session can be read about here in its respective blog post.
Writing and Editing
I’m starting to chart unexplored territory in sixth Search for Eden Novel. I honestly didn’t think I would get this far while writing it. I know how the novel ends, but until I get near that point I can spend the rest of book world building and character growing. The stars are the limit for this setting and I can’t wait to see what I come up with.
That is except for the fact that my editor has finished his most recent edits. And so it is time for me to dive back into Earth Everafter Book 1 and work on cleaning that novel up. Every change and correction I make is another steep closer to publishing this novel. And I couldn’t be more excited. Well, except for the editing part. That’s hard.
Reading and Podcasts
I have continued listening to Behind the Bastards led by Robert Evans and learning about some truly horrible people. I’m on a longer series and not quite done with it yet. I keep getting distracted by Elden Ring Lore Videos that I have been listening to instead. But don’t worry, I’ll get back to this.
I also continued reading The Rose Field which is the final book in Phillip Pullman’s Book of Dust Series. I’m eager to finish this series, though it saddens me that I’ll have to hunt for new reading material after.
Wrap Up
As we head towards the end of June, don’t forget to take a deep breath and let all that stress out. Its been a terrifying year so far. But the tide is turning. What we are all seeing should serve as a warning and preview of what might happen next. Things are escalating fast, and so we need to be ready to stand firm against The Felon. But when things escalate that gives off a sense of urgency. We might be rushing towards the edge of a cliff, or with some hope, perhaps the end of this nightmare instead. But we must not rush into things ourselves, even as things change quickly.
The Felon is fading, faster than ever in fact. Less and less people are cool with him being a pedophile. So he and his handlers push fear on us because that is all they know. Even trying to cancel elections will not stop us from trying to hold them accountable. And once they are gone, may their legacy be tainted by their wicked deeds. Assuming they don’t do something incredibly suicidal and brainless like launching nuclear missiles first. I still have hope things won’t reach that point.
And outside of The Felon, Capitalism, The One World Order that American Libertarians claim we need to fear while they worship it tries to reduce our lives to monetary value. It is up to us to build lives that stand in defiance of this. Art cannot be quantified by capital and that is why those in power continue to demonize it alongside Liberal Arts. Anything demonized by Fascists is something that we should all care about. Because anything they oppose is what will help bring them down.
Anyway, you know who also doesn’t understand art and sentimental stuff at all? The Felon. Let’s outlast him in 2026. As humans, let’s show love and light to those we care about. Those things are what make us better people. In fact its what makes us human. Our heartbeats are greater than anything he stands for. While he destroys, we rebuild. Our hearts craft beauty and wonder despite his parasitic presence. And we will only become stronger once he is no longer in our way. We will Survive The Felon together and unstoppable. ICE will melt and we will endure.

As a reward for making it all the way to the end, here is a cat that refuses to pose for the camera.
