Surviving the Felon: Week of 1/17/2026

Admin/ January 18, 2026/ Anime, Books, Centrum Glacies, Dungeons and Dragons, Earth Everafter, Pokémon Go, Political, Surviving the Felon, The Search for Eden, Video Games

I’m back with another instalment of Surviving the Felon. Its hard not to panic right now. As I’ll outline in the bad section in a moment, The Felon is pushing worse and worse Fascist ideas. Ideas that are allowing dangerous criminals to legally murder innocent people. With phrases like “One of us, all of yours” and “Papers please” becoming much more standard than they have any right to be, things are looking bleak.

And yet, this is why we cannot give into despair. The Fascists and Venture Capitalists are so certain that they have won. But they have not. We must stand firm against them. They are trying increasingly more insane ways to try and harm the rest of us because this is their last chance. If we can continue fighting and hold them off, we will finally have our time to counter attack and start taking our country back from these psychopaths and syncopates.

Fascism is always undone by fracturing alliances and the cracks are all there. Some of those most loyal to the Felon have already turned on him. Or in some more extreme cases, been forced to defend themselves from his Cultists. And that will only continue as the enemy he wants to create is refusing to play ball.

The Bad

While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage FoundationPeter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.

An ordered list seems to be the best way to get through this section and so I’ll continue doing so. Negativity is the news’s specialty. And I want to focus on resisting and the positivity. But those bad things cannot be ignored. Giving it the least thought and fewest words is a proper compromise.

Everything ICE is doing in a city near you which includes the terrorism in Minneapolis and Portland, The cover up of ICE’s Terrorism by the FBI, Healthcare Costs going way up, Food Stamps running out, Genocide in Sudan, Conflict in the Middle East, The Felon investigating political enemies, The realization that our world is run by pedophiles, Rising Antisemitism, Attacks against Jews being used to fuel blood libel and conspiracy theories, threats of violence against politicians who don’t obey The Felon, An attack on Venezuela, threats of war in Nigeria and Greenland, the Military being forced to obey illegal orders, Rising Tensions between Japan and China, The Redacted Epstein Files, Rising Tensions between the United States and Europe

The Good

Well here we are. The list above is the exact same as last week, but many of the things I outlined before have only grown worse. But I’ll start the good off by at least being relieved that entirely new horrible things have not come about. At least not yet. But I won’t leave it to The Felon and his cronies to try new and horrible things. Anyway, this is the section where I look at some of the good in the world so let’s focus on that now.

First I want to mention that the Black Panther Party is back. They posed such a threat to the GOP in the past that they forced Ronald Reagan to be the only (future) president to ever ban guns. I know they are ready to fight ICE and their Nazi aims and I am rooting for their success. Let’s see how Conservatives wrap their Cult Brains around banning guns.

Also worth looking into is what’s going on in Iran. Their government is cracking down on protestors and committing serious crimes according to reports from within the country. And yet, despite their internet being cut and being run by an oppressive Theocratic Government, protests endure. Theocracy is just Fascism by another name. Both use religion as a mechanism to control the people and enslave minorities. I am rooting for the people of Iran to throw off extreme Islam, just as I want to the United States to cut extreme Christianity completely.

Transition

As the world turns uglier, I want to encourage everyone that is struggling right now to turn inward and heal. It does us no good to fight on an empty energy stomach. Myself included. I skipped several things that I normally enjoy this week due to Depression. As an empath, the negative energy swirling cause of the political situation is getting the better of me. Hence why I am looking into how to better my health.

This blog has been a check in for my friends as well as one for myself. Last week I was in a dark place, but its really a testament to my resilience that I’m somehow feeling better this week. New Years is now in the past and I can focus on bettering my future. I’m still not where I want to be. And I’m sure my Depression will strike when I’m not ready to deal with my thoughts. Which is why those activities that bring me joy are so important.

Anyway, its time for this blog to turn inwards and reflect. I might have had to battle depression and anxiety this week, but I still found plenty that brought me joy. I refuse to let the mainstream media define my emotions. I’ll fight towards a better me even if I face adversity in my personal life and the world around me. The Felon will not drag me down.

Workouts

This week I continued the habit that I have desperately been trying to rebuild after the holidays. Those workouts kept happening and that is something that I am proud of. I’ll be keeping things simple for now so that I can work on doing my reps right before increasing what I do. That way when I am ready to move up to harder workouts, I’ll have established a habit that will leave me healthier and happier.

Video Games

This time I am trying my best to play more social games so that I am not left with my thoughts while depressed and anxious. Right now, I am playing Civilization 7 with a friend. When I play this game, I can find many hours vanish very quickly, but I also work writing and other tasks in between turns so I find it a more productive video game. Another game that has me playing with friends, but admittedly with less done outside the game is Baldur’s Gate 3.

Meanwhile, Genshin Impact delivered exactly what I was hoping, not just story wise, but gameplay wise too. I summoned Columbina just like I had hoped, and then summoned her several more times to power her up further. All the things for my Moon Goddess. I waited years for this character and I want to get the most out of her gameplay.

I finished Fire Emblem Blazing Blade and moved on to Fire Emblem Path of Radiance. I’ll post that picture of Nino below as promised. Spoiler alert: Her Magic stat ended up sorta bad. When I wasn’t playing those two games and growing frustrated by lack of strength and magic increasing, I was instead playing Metroid Prime 4 and growing frustrated with everything involving the Flare Pool.

Pokémon Go

Contrasting the last week, this was not a big week for me in Pokémon Go. Raid hours didn’t appeal to me and I didn’t even go out and raid. Only part of that was due to Depression. Its not a big deal in the end though, I’ll recover my social energy and try again next week

I did not go on an adventure this week, and as promised, I monitored how long I held the gym at the park in Lake Mary, Florida. It didn’t stay there long. In fact that same day the gym was taken back. I’m assuming that there are people living in that neighborhood that all are on the same team that keep the gym. And while that is an inefficient way to get coins, it doesn’t bother me that much.

I also did not battle this week in my Grassroots Tournament League. After two weeks back to back, I gave other teammates a chance to play. It doesn’t bother me either way. The entire point of participating in these tournaments is getting to network with better players and learn how to play better.

Anime and Shows

I watched a lot of new airing shows this week, but before I get into that, I also finished the last episode of Lord of Mysteries. And while I had to look up a few things that happened at the end so that I understood what was being set up story wise, I really enjoyed the show. And hearing that the next season will be have better pacing only leaves me more eager for more of this show. The magic is really neat and the fight scenes are top notch with incredible animation to make them even better.

Anyway, now for all the shows I’ll be watching and one I have not yet started. This is a pretty stacked season so let’s list them all: Sentenced to be a Hero, Frieren Beyond Journeys End, To Your Eternity, Fire Force. As well as one that I’ll be watching soon: Oshi No Ko. After an incredible start, Sentenced to be a Hero was my favorite for the week. And it followed in Oshi No Ko’s footsteps with a first episode that could have been a movie all by itself.

I watched some more One Piece and still have some way to go before I’m done with Dressrosa. It drags of course but that is the biggest issue with One Piece in general. I’ll still be watching it and intend to get all the way caught up. Here’s hoping that the next arc doesn’t take me as long to get through. Fun fact, I copy pasted this paragraph from last week. Work smarter not harder.

Dungeons & Dragons

I ran another combat heavy session in my Centrum Glacies Campaign. And like all my sessions, you can find a blog post about what happened. That one can be found here. Baldur’s Gate 3 has helped me figure out how to run more story based combat as opposed to just filling dungeons with random monsters. Doing things this way helps me not feel like the game is dragging.

Writing and Editing

I am continuing to write the first draft of my fifth Search for Eden Novel. And I intend to go full speed ahead until I finish the book. Then I’ll turn my focus to other matters. This book serves as my first dive into proper science fiction and its taking a lot of time away from writing and towards research. And yet this isn’t a bad thing because I’m learning a lot about all sorts of topics and realizing more and more how little I actually understand.

When I do get back to editing, I’ll be that much closer to publishing the first Earth Everafter Novel. The more current events happen as they do, the more convinced I am that this book and the other two after it must be published. As Fascism keeps trying to kill innocent people, this series will only become more and more relevant for an ever larger audience.

Reading and Podcasts

This week I didn’t have much to properly read and so I did research. But I have been listening to podcasts and since I’m learning quite a bit that way too, I want to add what I am listening to to this section. I have been listening to Behind the Bastards led by Robert Evans and learning about some truly horrible people. This week, I learned about Andrew Tate and Jack Walch. Given how terrible these men were and are, I don’t want to link to them because I don’t want to risk people falling down rabbit holes. Research the people featured on this podcast.

I have something special that I’ll be reading starting next week. I won’t be spoiling any of that yet, but look forward to something remarkable next week. Its another series that heavily shaped my work. And if like me, you like Berserk, I highly recommend what I’ll be talking about next time.

Wrap Up

Now that we are several weeks into 2026, we need to give ourselves a chance to take a breath and reflect on what we have accomplished so far. Do not let yourselves be dragged down by all the terrible things happening. Instead turn that anger into energy. Remind yourself what you are doing to spread love and light. We have many roles to play and all of them are important in combating Fascism. And if for you that means simply surviving, outlasting this evil is vital so that we we rebuild we have plenty ready to do their parts.

And outside of The Felon, Capitalism, The One World Order that Libertarians claim we need to fear while they worship it tries to reduce our lives to monetary value. It is up to us to build lives that stand in defiance of this. Art cannot be quantified by capital and that is why those in power continue to demonize it alongside Liberal Arts. Anything demonized by Fascists is something that we should all care about. Because anything they oppose is what will help bring them down.

Anyway, you know who also doesn’t understand art and sentimental stuff at all? The Felon. Let’s outlast him in 2026. As humans, let’s show love and light to those we care about. Those things are what make us better people. In fact its what makes us human. Our heartbeats are greater than anything he stands for. While he destroys, we rebuild. Our hearts craft beauty and wonder despite his parasitic presence. And we will only become stronger once he is no longer in our way. We will Survive The Felon together and unstoppable. ICE will melt and we will endure.

As a reward for making it to the end, here is a sleeping kitty.
