Surviving the Felon 1/10/2026

I’m back with another installment of Surviving the Felon. I’m back to my normal schedule at work and my routine is back to how it normally is. Which is perfectly timed given that the United States is slowly showing its Fascism Game Face openly. The Felon is growing more and more insane by the day and his madness seems to have no floor.

My mental health is somehow on the recovery despite all the absolutely terrible things that happened this week. Its a reminder that I have to focus on me before I can have the energy to resist in what ways I can against the evil happening around me. And I extend that same advice to everyone reading this. Make sure you are taking care of yourselves. Especially as it looks ever more realistic that The Felon wants to permanently destroy sane and rational US Citizens.

And yet we cannot despair at feeling powerless in the face of such evil. They win the moment we give up. But we also need to be aware that we have crossed a line that sets a dangerous precedent. I’ll outline exactly what I mean in the bad section, but now its clear that our lives are at risk no matter what we do. And so I advise to stand up to this evil machine, or focus on regaining your energy so that you are capable of doing so.

The Bad

While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage FoundationPeter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.

An ordered list seems to be the best way to get through this section and so I’ll continue doing so. Negativity is the news’s specialty. And I want to focus on resisting and the positivity. But those bad things cannot be ignored. Giving it the least thought and fewest words is a proper compromise.

Everything ICE is doing in a city near you which includes the terrorism in Minneapolis and Portland, The cover up of ICE’s Terrorism by the FBI, Healthcare Costs going way up, Food Stamps running out, Genocide in Sudan, Conflict in the Middle East, The Felon investigating political enemies, The realization that our world is run by pedophiles, Rising Antisemitism, Attacks against Jews being used to fuel blood libel and conspiracy theories, threats of violence against politicians who don’t obey The Felon, An attack on Venezuela, threats of war in Nigeria and Greenland, the Military being forced to obey illegal orders, Rising Tensions between Japan and China, The Redacted Epstein Files, Rising Tensions between the United States and Europe

The Good

Well, I made it past the worst part of the blog. Things are looking bleak this week and at times even fighting for that silver lining feels like a waste of effort. And yet despite all this darkness there are positive things to be found. Let’s focus on those positive things even when it feels forced. In fact we need to focus on those positives especially when it feels forced.

While the US Government jumps off and into the abyss of madness, citizens around the country are standing up and protesting. Its truly a testament that we have not fallen into violent anarchy and The Felon has not been able to come up with an excuse for proper martial law. that might change and soon. But at least thus far his failure to even fabricate a reason is itself worth celebrating. He has tried baiting us. And failed at every turn. Instead he has just proven his incompetence. And that in itself is a positive reminder that he and his cronies are stupid terrorists. Which are a lot easy to oppose than intelligent ones.

Protests are happening around the world. Many opposing the Felon and his deeds, but also others that might lead to better futures within other nations. Iran is an example. And I genuinely hope that they can free themselves from the horrors that Ronald Reagan installed. Iran deserves a country of their own making and not a puppet set up by The Felon or The Window Shover. My hope is that Iran changing leads to change in Saudi Arabia as well. Should that all come to pass, the Middle East will have a much brighter future. A tall order of course, but this is the positivity section of this blog post.

Transition

Well I have talked plenty about politics on this post so far. And what an ugly series of events its been. And so, I want to turn inwards at this point and explore what I was up to while all these terrible things were going on. I had moments where I panicked. And it took some of my favorite activities to keep me going. If you are feeling hopeless, perhaps a change of atmosphere will help. All the energy is needed to oppose the Felon.

This blog has been a check in for my friends as well as one for myself. Last week I was in a dark place, but its really a testament to my resilience that I’m somehow feeling better this week. New Years is now in the past and I can focus on bettering my future. I’m still not where I want to be. And I’m sure my Depression will strike when I’m not ready to deal with my thoughts. Which is why those activities that bring me joy are so important.

I know a lot of people will be out protesting. For this week at least, I need to focus on writing. That is of course why I keep writing these posts. This is my form of protest. And I hope that those reading these words feel energized to fight in whatever ways they can. And if you are looking for some inspiration for energy, the majority of the rest of this blog post will outline where I found mine.

Workouts

The first positive thing I really want to talk about is returning to my workouts. The last few weeks, my routine was completely messed up and it made it near impossible for me to start the new year on the right foot. But a week delay did not prevent me from starting this important habit anew. And as I’ll get to in the Pokémon Go section, I didn’t stop my workouts at core exercises either. All in all, being able to do all my workouts this week is a massive victory. And I want to continue turning this into a permanent habit each week.

Video Games

As I have said for over a year now, video games are my first stop when it comes to stress relief. Not only do I play multiplayer games like Baldur’s Gate 3 when I want to be social, but don’t want to leave my house, but I usually am playing a game between paragraphs while writing my longer posts like this one. Today I’m playing Fire Emblem Blazing Blade and attempting to power level Nino. But thus far her stat growths are not doing so hot. So I hope I don’t regret this.

I’m about to have a very exciting week with Genshin Impact as Columbina will be released. I have waited several years not only for her to appear in the story properly, but to be playable for even longer. That changes this upcoming week. And I’m sure I’ll be talking about Genshin plenty next week. The story is going to some incredible places and I can’t wait to see where they take me.

An honorable mention for the week that helped me write a few other things when I needed some extra motivation, was Civilization 7. I’m genuinely enjoying the game and am saying so now before inevitably an expansion is added that fixes the problems it has to the point where everyone else stops slamming it. Every game in this series has had this issue since around 4. And I’m sure it will continue going forward.

Pokémon Go

This was a big week in Pokémon Go. For me and for a lot of others too. Notably it was Kyurem Fusion Raid Day. And Reshiram and Zekrom were along for the ride too. There were glitches, as there tends to be during events like this one. And lots of people in my group were very disappointed when an entire thirty minutes was nothing by Zekrom, but I got plenty of candy to max out the other two Legendary Dragons. Zekrom will be for another time.

Anyway, that was a lot of walking to catch those Raid Pokémon, but in the same day, I also went to a park. And as I always do, there is a write up detailing that Adventure. You can find that blog post here. Short adventures are just as valid as longer ones. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

As far as PvP is concerned, I’m using the regular ladder as simple practice. And it has been a lot les stressful for me. Meanwhile, this is the second week in a row where I won more games than lost in that grassroots tournament that I play. One of my teammates even recorded my matches and soon I’ll be uploading those for you all to watch. Perhaps I’ll have a new section of this blog dedicated to recordings.

Anime and Shows

So I started a new show this week and it was off to an incredible one hour start. That show is Sentenced to be a Hero and while there are plenty of other shows that will beg for my attention, I’ll be sure to give this one a proper watch. Its Dark Fantasy and with a premise I have seen before but never tire of seeing how it can be explored with a fresh coat of paint.

I watched some more One Piece and still have some way to go before I’m done with Dressrosa. It drags of course but that is the biggest issue with One Piece in general. I’ll still be watching it and intend to get all the way caught up. Here’s hoping that the next arc doesn’t take me as long to get through.

Dungeons & Dragons

After several weeks, I once more got to run a session of my Centrum Glacies Campaign. That combat heavy session has a blog post too. And you can read it here. Something I love about collaborative storytelling, is that my players come up with ideas to situations I created that I never could have envisioned. And it makes crafting such a story that much more rewarding.

Writing and Editing

This week, I continued writing the fifth Search for Eden Novel. I’m going to keep writing until I hit a wall and then return to editing. But if I can keep this energy going, I intend to finish the first draft of this novel before diving completely into editing for a while. It might seem like editing makes more sense right now for me, but when a story demands to be written, you don’t ignore those screams. You turn that art into reality and write.

When I do get back to editing, I’ll be that much closer to publishing the first Earth Everafter Novel. The more current events happen as they do, the more convinced I am that this book and the other two after it must be published. As Fascism keeps trying to kill innocent people, this series will only become more and more relevant for an ever larger audience.

Reading

I made it to the end of Magi and feel satisfied with how things played out. Yes the ending left out some things I would have wanted. And the time skip rushed some character development. And while I loved the final arc, I can understand why a lot of people do not. Its a major tonal shift for a bit and some people are not about that. I however love tonal shifts. Especially when they push stories in new directions like this one did.

I also read several more chapters of Mazino. The Webtoon App surprised me by letting me read additional chapters while watching ads that I easily just ignored. Of course the downside to this is it will be several weeks before I’ll get to read more of this story. And right when things are really getting good too. I’ll miss my fix of watching the main character put lots of people in their places, but I’m willing to wait for high quality content.

Wrap Up

We are only a few weeks into the new year and already things seem to be a lot worse than before. I have no doubt that this year will be chaotic and filled with news stories that make as panic every week. That is The Felons method of exhausting us after all. And it continues to be disturbing that bad news makes mainstream media so much money. While positive news does not. Do not forget though that The Felon is not the only pedophile or terrorist with power. There are many others all around the world just as sick and twisted as him.

And outside of The Felon, Capitalism, The One World Order that Libertarians claim we need to fear while they worship it tries to reduce our lives to monetary value. It is up to us to build lives that stand in defiance of this. Art cannot be quantified by capital and that is why those in power continue to demonize it alongside Liberal Arts. Anything demonized by Fascists is something that we should all care about. Because anything they oppose is what will help bring them down.

Anyway, you know who also doesn’t understand art and sentimental stuff at all? The Felon. Let’s outlast him in 2026. As humans, let’s show love and light to those we care about. Those things are what make us better people. In fact its what makes us human. Our heartbeats are greater than anything he stands for. While he destroys, we rebuild. Our hearts craft beauty and wonder despite his parasitic presence. And we will only become stronger once he is no longer in our way. We will Survive The Felon together and unstoppable. ICE will melt and we will endure.

As a reward for making it to the end, here is a picture of my blurry cat, a messy corner of my room, and my foot.
