Surviving the Felon: Week of 8/31/2025
I’m back with another instalment of Surviving the Felon. We made it to the end of August and The Felon has been awfully quiet lately. Its likely that his health is declining rapidly and he might even be reaching the end of his rope. Wouldn’t it be a wonderful thing if at long last the world is rid of him and his ilk?
Now is the time to fight and outlast. Its looking more likely that we will have another president within the next year. And although the Couch Humper is a dangerous person as well, he lacks the cult following of The Felon. Fascism always falls to infighting and once the cult starts fracturing it is time for all the sane and rational people to come together and make sure that these different groups are at each other’s throats instead of ours.
Never forget that The Felon and those like him are incapable of love. They are not able to bring light to the world. These are things that make us better than them. We as kind humans are capable of positive emotions. And those emotions make us strong not weak. Weakness is spreading only hate and darkness. The Felon is weak. If you are reading this, you are stronger. Stronger than him.
The Bad
While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage Foundation, Peter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.
Honestly this week didn’t have any additional bad that I didn’t already mention. The Closeted Heel Man is still fighting a war against rainbows in Florida. Meanwhile the United States continue to threaten countries around the world. Really it seems The Felon and his ilk are desperate to distract everyone away from Epstein.
Concerns about martial law are still on my mind as well as countless others. I’m hopeful for elections, but we will all have to see if the Fascists are willing to subvert everyone’s choices to hold power for themselves. Things might get a lot worse if they go down this road. I’m hopeful that they will fail.
The Good
There is actually a lot of good right now. I hope I am not just becoming conditioned to accept the horrors of our time. Anyway, The Felon has been awfully quiet lately. This silence is so deafening that it can’t be ignored. I can’t think of a creature that loves the sound of their own voice as much as The Felon. The fact that he has gone quiet is a sign that something is wrong with him. A wonderful thing in itself.
Florida’s battle against rainbows is another good thing as people continue to stand up for what is right. The LGBTQ+ Community will not be silenced or erased. Fascism will be the ideology that will be eliminated. I can’t believe that I genuinely see this possibility but its a testament to how hard the good fight is being fought.
And speaking of other miracles, the concentration camp in the Florida Everglades is being closed down. I didn’t think Florida would be forced to do the right thing. But even though other concentration camps are being built, we managed to stop at least one. And that is a seriously good thing. May we work together to eliminate all the others too.
Transition
Well we have made it to the end of the political part of this post. Its time for me to look inwards and explore what made me smile this week. I am continuing to focus on activities that separate me from the cruel people who run our world. And continuing to create and learn makes me happy and healthier too. Its easier to resist Fascism with a healthy body and healthy mind.
While I may be smiling, I know a lot of people are not. Things may feel better now but that doesn’t mean they actually are for everyone. Which is why as usual, I will be leaving links to everything that is focusing my energy away from the horrors of today. Looking for something to smile about? Feel free to check some of those links out. Discovery of any kind tends to generate a smile or two.
Workouts
As I recovered from a longer illness, it took me a bit longer to get back to workouts. Especially since I hadn’t formed the habit yet. However, I did go on a couple walks this past week which I will count as workouts. One of those walks was close to three miles and I know that many people would consider that difficult much less a casual thing like I tend to. The weather will be cooling down soon, and once the summer ends it will be much easier to go on proper hikes again.
Video Games
While I did go outside a bit this last week, it was still a hot Florida summer out there. And so video games were a major source of smiles and distractions. Like last week, I’m catching up on shows while writing this post though. But I played a lot of different games this time around including some that I have not looked at in a while.
Genshin Impact, Elden Ring, Expedition 33, and Civilization 7 made up the bulk of my time. And each of them are longer games with plenty of content to distract me from the horrors of reality. In some cases, such as the first three, the horrors of their universes are much worse than our own. Something that helps me get through the day I’ll admit. At least I’m not living in a world where a malevolent cosmic force is trying to beak reality like in Genshin, or several like in Elden Ring.
What I didn’t get much of a chance to play this week was Helldivers 2. I was out of town for part of the week which is why this post is later than normal. And it pushes the rest of my week forward a bit. But I’ll have some chances to play this game as next week goes on.
Pokémon Go
It was still hot outside, but that didn’t stop me from playing Pokémon Go. Corviknight had a community day and I managed to catch one of the best stat combination ones for Great League PvP. This is a good thing since I didn’t do as well this past season. I’m hoping with all the changes made for the upcoming season that I’ll have a chance to make it to Veteran Rank again.
Anime and Shows
I’m caught up on all my shows this week except Dandadan. And I added a few more to the list of things I’m watching. First let’s go over the usual list: My Dress Up Darling, Kaiju No. 8, Rising of the Shield Hero, Call of the Night Dr. Stone and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.
The standout this week was Dr Stone. Things got emotional as the story reached a major clash with several characters potentially meeting their end. Even if things will likely end up positive in the end for the protagonists, this newest episode really showed just how extreme the stakes are in this newest season.
I also added a few new shows to the list with Alien: Earth being a superb story so far. Meanwhile I also watched up to the most recent episode of Gachiakuta, a show about literal trash. Its been a fun take on the shonen powerup story so far. I’m curious to see where the story goes.
I didn’t make much progress on One Piece this week due to all the other shows I was watching. But now that I am mostly caught up, it will be time to see if I can finish Fishman Island. I’m certain that the arcs will be even better past this one.
Dungeons & Dragons
I ran another session of my Centrum Glacies Campaign and things have reached the tail end of combat heavy. Its always pleasing when my players point out that I threw another dangerous encounter at them after what they assumed was The dangerous encounter. If you want to read about what they fought against and how I tricked them, take a look here.
Writing and Editing
I wrote a fair amount of my Search for Eden Novel. Though I didn’t have a day off work due to sickness to channel that extra energy this time. Still I’m pleased by the progress I’m making at now that I’m approaching the segments of that book that I have waited years to write. Naturally I’ll be doing editing starting next week too. But I’m tempted to keep writing at least through this current segment so I do fragment my train of thought.
Reading
I finished The Secret Commonwealth and it left me wanting more. The internet seems to have not liked this book as much as I did, but that’s fine because different tastes for different strokes and all that. I didn’t leave my week open though cause I had two more things to read. First, I read the Genshin Impact Webcomic which details a story that the game couldn’t tell. And I read the first volume of Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. I watched the anime and it stopped in the middle of the story with no chance of continuing. And just like when I read Berserk, I decided it was time to see the full story.
Wrap Up
Well the next time I write a post, we will have made it to September. As the summer comes to an end, I find myself more and more invigorated to stand up against The Felon and his cronies. I’ll be going on more hikes within a few months and will be able to keep my depression and anxiety at bay as the Fascists fight for power as everything crumbles around them.
I have no doubts that creating art is helping me get through these dark times. And so I extend that to you as well. Capitalism has convinced us that the pursuit of money is all that matters. I get why we think that. Bills don’t care about our feelings. And without money we can’t even eat. We spend so much of our lives in the pursuit of it for the sake of survival that we forget to live our lives. That makes it even more important to take a step back and think about what makes you happy enough to continue on with your day.
To that end, I encourage you all to create something that will make you smile. Whether it is a situation, an art piece, or even a moment of silence, find something that brings you joy in these rotten times. We can rest, recharge, and be ready to fight for a better world. Our hearts beat as one, filled with an emotion that The Felon who is also a terrorist, pedophile, and rapist will never be able to understand.
The Felon is not only losing control, he might be in the twilight moment of his life. All we need to do is keep fighting. There is a strong chance that our heartbeats will finally drown him out. Once that is done, the path will be open for a better world. We can resist The Felon together. We will not be stopped.
