Surviving the Felon: Week of 7/05/2025

Admin/ July 7, 2025/ Anime, Pokémon Go, Political, Surviving the Felon, Video Games

I’m back with another instalment of Surviving the Felon. July is here and normally this would be the week where we celebrate America’s Birthday. But let’s be honest, the United States does not deserve a birthday this year. We are a disgrace to the world. And so long as The Felon and his cronies have control of our nation, then all birthdays for said country are canceled. This is not up for debate. It’s my decision and it will be enforced.

The environment is not happy either. I was away from Florida for most of this week and got to see firsthand that the weather followed me north to Chicago where I visited family and went to a convention. I’ll talk more about that in a couple sections. Shouldn’t be getting ahead of myself. Back to the environment though, we can only ignore it for so long. And those with money who intend to build bunkers to hide from the consequences of their actions will only survive slightly longer than the rest of us.

It is probably too late for these weather related issues to be put on the box. These rising temperatures and more extreme weather patterns are a new normal. Yet we can put Fascism back in the box. The world may become a more intense place, but there is no reason for our society to do the same. Hence why we must resist and fight against The Felon at every turn. We need to make each step he takes harder than the last.

The Bad

While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage FoundationPeter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.

Well, there was plenty of bad to go around this week. The Ugly Unconscionable I can’t think of a proper third word that starts with the letter “U” bill was passed. And that is bad thing for everyone. There are so many terrible things in that bill that this blog post would become bloated just listing some of them. Not to mention the negative slant would be far too extreme.

And speaking of negative slant, Florida now has a concentration camp. And I will not be calling it any silly names. Such words exist to take away from the horrific reality of what this place is and why it was built. And lest we forget, The Closeted Heel Man had it built in about a week. A reminder that we could solve our housing crisis and thus homeless crisis quick if the powers that be wanted that more than killing innocent brown people.

Last on the list of bad is the flooding in Texas. After The Felon gutted everything that would have helped to warn and mitigate this disaster, we got an expected outcome. It won’t be the last time this year that nature’s wrath kills innocent people. The Felon is behaving exactly as he did during Covid. Many of us will die, but that is a sacrifice he is willing to make. Hurricane season is here Florida. Are you all ready?

The Good

Well that was a gigantic ball of negative. When reading things like that it can be hard to feel positive about anything. Trust me I know that first hand. Yet we can’t let that despair beat us down. I refuse to let The Felon have a single victory over me, much less several. He wants us to feel weak and hopeless. It benefits us to refuse to give in. So no matter what it takes, don’t give in to that despair. Every second we fight back is a good thing.

Now onto good things that are not simple feel good statements and platitudes. Yes there is a concentration camp in Florida. But you might not know that protestors have been nearby being a disturbance and making sure the country and the world knows that this is actually happening. If you have not seen that in the news, remember who the news stations work for.

The biggest positive news of the week comes from negative catalysts. But no matter the source, the world improving is a good thing. Many of the people who are harmed by The Felon’s policies happen to be the ones who supported him. I won’t cheer their misfortune. That doesn’t build communities. It breaks them apart further. Instead, as the leopards feast, I hope that those they missed during the attack will look around and see that The Felon intends to kill them too. Fascism always falls when it eats itself and a major step would be for his supports to turn on him. The rest of us need to do what it takes to make that happen.

Transition

Well, the news was almost completely horrible as it usually is. But that does not mean our lives have to be. If you need to turn off the news for sanity, no one who matters will judge you. Besides, it isn’t like social media isn’t feeding you and me that same negativity anyway.

But what is not negativity, is what I did this week to take my mind off things. As usual, I want to move away from politics at home and abroad and move on to what made me smile this week. My little victories help me push back against the darkness. And if you are looking for tools to push your light into the world more, feel free to take a look into these same things.

Video Games

I was out of town for much of the week and focused on a lot of other things than video games. Still, they are a major part of my life and when I return to normalcy, quite possibly the biggest stress reliever of them all. This time around I am not using a specific video game to help me write this post. But Genshin Impact is what I played when I woke up this morning. So that is what I’ll list first.

Before I left for Chicago, I did play quite a bit of Elden Ring since I found yet another build to try in the game. I really intend to get my moneys worth with my favorite Fromsoft Game at this point. Looks like the Lands Between calling me back again and again.

I also continued my honor mode run of Baldur’s Gate 3. Now that Moonrise Towers is clear, all my friends and I have left are the Mindflayer Colony below it and the bosses at the end of Act 2. Avatar of Myrkul is considered one of the hardest fights in Honor Mode and I hope we can get past him and reach Act 3.

Pokémon Go

Gofest is over and I had a lot of fun catching Zamazenta and Zacien. But I did get a bit winded from the extreme heat. One of the advantages of going on vacation further north is that I got to go on a hike. That blog post isn’t written yet as vacation did vacation things. But that just means I get to include it in my next post. I was pleased to go outside and walk a trail with my dad that was significant when I was younger. That mile stretch was one of the places that inspired my Travel Blog after all.

I did not do many PvP battles this week since I was on vacation and didn’t want that stress. But I’ll get back to it once I’m in Florida.

Anime and Shows

This section is about to get a lot more content filled. The summer Anime Season has started and the lineup is stacked. Even with only a few out so far, I already watched the first episodes of Dan Da Dan, My Dress Up Darling, and Call of the Night. That is an awful lot of laughs, cringe comedy, and some encounters with supernatural stuff. But that list is only a start of what I’ll be watching this season.

That doesn’t mean that One Piece took a backseat. I’ll admit it will be harder to watch it consistently with the sheer number of shows I’ll be keeping up with, but I’m at the Post War Arc and will be getting emotional right with Luffy as he travels down memory lane. I met several One Piece Voice Actors at a Convention this week and that motivated me to press on.

Dungeons & Dragons

I was out of town this week and so didn’t get to run my campaign this week. I did meet several other Dungeon Masters and got many new ideas though while at a convention this week. Look forward to some new stuff in the upcoming weeks.

Writing and Editing

I did get some editing work done early in the week, but my mind was on vacation and so I didn’t make much progress. I think I’ll be working much better after taking a much needed break. Not to mention some motivation from the convention to push my creativity to new levels.

Reading

I was on vacation most of this week. You probably know that by now since I have repeated it several times in this post. I didn’t get to read much of anything while away. So that will be another thing to get back to I’m home.

Wrap Up

Well we have made it to July. I said that earlier in this blog post but it helps to say it again. Even when things feel like they are breaking apart in real time and darkness seeks to cover up the world, it helps to remember that time is marching on. And all these wicked souls like The Felon are on a ticking clock. They are mortal and many of them are approaching old age. Time will take them away from us as it does all things. And we will rejoice when it happens.

The Felon, and his ilk are are excited to the point of foaming at the mouth at killing immigrants. They want to slaughter Hispanic Americans. They want to torture anyone who stands up to them. Which is why more than ever, especially with prison camps now being an open thing in this country, we must stand together as one community. Do not let the culture war distract from the class war.

They might seem unstoppable, especially with the constitution essentially rendered toilet paper, but we outnumber them. The Felon and his friends are nothing more than domestic terrorists pretending in their own minds to be heroes. And as with all things that cross their small minds, their imaginations are lacking. The only thing they have is money. Their lives are devoid of anything meaningful. That is what we have over them. And all the wonderful things that bring us light and love are what will continue motivating us to stop them.

The Felon will lose. Our heartbeats beating as one will drown out even his screams as he finally falls and is crushed in defeat. Do not lose hope.
