Surviving the Felon: Week of 04/04/2025

I’m back with another instalment of Surviving the Felon. We made it to April and for the first time since this whole thing started, I actually have some hope. Its been easier to smile this week than the prior ones. There was a lot to keep me distracted from all the terrible things happening. But I also got to look at the news and social media for the first time in a long time and not lose all my energy to it.

Despair and negative feelings are the tools of The Felon. And his grip over us is starting to break. The media networks that serve his interests are trying their best to distract us and keep us divided so that we don’t unify. Too bad they already failed. I’ll talk about that when I highlight the good. But it was such a good thing that I wanted to bring up an emotional preview.

The Felon and The Nazi want to control every aspect of our lives. Their buddies at the social media companies want to choose what we feel and when. Yet their grip is starting to weaken and that is worth rejoicing over.

The Bad

I almost wanted to skip this section entirely. The good has me so renewed that I don’t want to give that negative energy any power. But still I can’t ignore a wound. A disease like The Felon will only grow worse if left to fester. And so even though I am focused almost laser wise on the positives this week, lets go over the bad.

While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more Heritage FoundationPeter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this earlier than the end of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.

Anyway, let’s talk about the big looming horrible turd of nasty that has taken not just the United States but the entire world by storm. Those tariffs passed by The Felon are going to cause prices to go up on everything. That includes American goods by the way. Why would businesses not use an opportunity to gouge their customers. That is the entire goal of Capitalism after all.

The Good

Well things might look bad if you looked at the above in a vacuum. And don’t get me wrong, prices going up on everything is extremely bad. Those are not ever coming back down either. Remember Capitalism is about gouging. Yet, I refuse to talk anymore negative on this blog post. Instead I’m focusing on the good and there is a lot of good this week.

Let me start with what I alluded to earlier on this post. There were mass protests against The Felon this week and they were all coordinated. Almost every single state had one and the numbers of people that showed up indicate that the spell cast on The Felon’s Cult is starting to break. Best of all, the Police didn’t attack the protestors. If they had done so that would have indicated that things were even worse than I thought.

While things look bad in the United States, other countries are starting to learn their lesson. Fascism is losing in many countries in in some that have been repressively authoritarian, their people are starting to fight back. For example, in Gaza there are Palestinians protesting Hamas. And these are very brave people because Hamas is a Terrorist Organization that delights in torturing and killing their own civilians. May this bravery be a rallying cry around the world. May we all wake up and stop these dark triad people from ruling over us.

Video Games

This week I focused on fewer games because there were other things that I needed to focus my attention on. Of what I did play, a majority of it was spent on Eldin Ring. I have yet to actually beat the game. I simply keep making new characters with new builds I want to try. It doesn’t help that I don’t like all the endgame areas. Specifically the Snowfield, The Haligtree, and Farum Azula. A shame because right before all that is Leyndell which is probably my favorite part of the game.

As I’m writing this bog post, I’m exploring Florida, also known as Caelid with a Dragon build. I even named them after Teztcal, the chaos gremlin of Centrum Glacies campaign. One day I’ll actually beat Eldin Ring and the DLC. Once I figure out which character I like the most that is.

I’m playing with more randoms in Helldivers 2 and its boosting my confidence. Especially since I’m at least decent enough at the game to know what to do in many situations. And I’m getting better at not panicking when I run into the nastier enemies and lack a teammate nearby.

Genshin Impact meanwhile has plenty of content for me to explore, and I see no need to rush through it. The new story quest was exceptional, exceptionally weird that is. And I know that the world quests are usually where the most interesting stuff happens. There are a few of those I still need to complete.

Pokémon Go

So it turns out that catching bugs was so much fun in Pokémon Go, that the developers decided to give us another event filled with the insects. Initially I didn’t complain though as Burmy was and is currently spawning everywhere and I needed those to finish a Research Task for Shiny Meloetta. But now that I am past that part, I no longer need this event and cannot wait for it to end.

I went on a hike this week. And the Florida sun started to take its toll on me. Not only did I sleep too much on my Saturday, but I had to stop my hike a bit short of where I wanted to go. Heat exhaustion is nasty and I did not want to risk coming down with that when I work outside for a living. Still I went outside a second time to catch a ton of Mega Audino. Not because I like the Pokémon, but because of all the rewards for completing the raids.

Its been another rough week for me in PvP. But rather than let burnout and frustration win, I’m paying attention to my losses to try and figure out what mistakes I made so that I can start getting victories more frequently. Not too long before I wrote this blog post, I managed to lose 10 games in a row. I think that might be my absolute worst streak in my entire time battling. Hopefully that should mean I’ll be winning again soon.

Anime and Shows

A new Anime season has started, but there is only one show so far that I’m watching. Still its one that I eagerly was waiting on to return. That show is Fire Force. And when it isn’t being silly sometimes to the point of cringe, the show gets pretty trippy. And I’m watching the show mostly for those moments. Then again, a show about Fire Fighters is not something you see very often.

I made a little progress in One Piece. Now that I’m done with Enies Lobby I’m finishing up the Post Arc that wraps that part of the story up. The next arc has one of the silliest characters in the entire show make his first appearance and I’m looking forward to a certain laugh that even the English Voice Actors cites as one of their favorite parts of One Piece.

As for non Anime, I’m watching Wheel of Time eagerly. Its disappointing to know that only two more episodes are left. But that alone is something worth looking forward to and even if everything else goes wrong over the next few weeks, at least I know Wheel of Time will be there with an incredible adaptation for this season.

Dungeons & Dragons

This week was one of the stranger sessions of Dungeons & Dragons that I have run in quite a while. The blog post is readable here. But the short version is that the group got to explain to a Fairy Queen what pooping is. Imagine getting a chance to meet the leader of an entire country that that is what you tell them about. Surreal stuff.

The party has been split up for a while and they almost crossed paths this week. But now they have gone past each other and on their way to equal and opposite grim tasks. I’m excited to see how this all plays out.

Writing and Editing

This was highly productive week as far as writing and editing were concerned. In addition to this blog post and the other two that I wrote for the week, I am taking part in a writing event similar to what NaNoWriMo was before it bankrupt. Given some of that organizations choices, I say good riddance.

Anyway, a writing event like that means a lot more productive sprints and writing in general. I won’t neglect my editing either. So far I am doing quite well for the writing event and am up to 8,918 words not including the ones for this blog post.

As for editing, I’m almost caught up to what my editor completed thus far. I’ll be having him take a look at more of the book soon. And I’m hoping it doesn’t take me several months to get through what he looks at next.

Reading

I managed to at long last finish the Hell Train Arc of Tower of God. From what I understand a good portion of what has been written so far involved that arc. But from what I can tell there is a long way to go before the story is done. The arc ends below the 50th Floor and there are at least 140 Floors in the tower itself. He’s not even half way there yet.

As I took a break from Tower of God, I went back and read the last of the segments of Berserk written by Miura before his passing. I know that the series is continuing, but its still gonna sting a little each page knowing that his magnum opus took longer than his own life to complete.

Wrap Up

April was the surprising turn around that I desperately needed. I understand thinks look really bad as the economy tanks. But in a weird way, perhaps that is what was needed to wake people up and snap them out of the trance they are in right now. What is happening now is not normal and its time to stop acting like it is.

But to create positive change means positive energy to do so. Lots of people had the energy and courage to band together in protest in such large numbers that not even media owned by The Nazi could ignore it. Nor could the Tech Stalker keep it off his social media posts. Our voices are growing louder and more unified as we bring in even people who don’t agree with other on most issues over a common goal.

Fascism is trying to seize power but we have history books and we know where this leads and why it has to be stopped. Enough people are starting to fight tooth and nail to not let what happened not even one hundred years ago repeat. By banding together we can stop this madness. We can all Survive the Felon together with our hearts beating strong and drowning him out.
