Surviving the Felon: Week of 5/16/2026

I’m back with another instalment of Surviving the Felon. As I looked at my last few posts, I noticed that negativity was starting to creep its way into to the first few sections. And now I’ll be fighting back against that. The news already has a monopoly on negativity. And social media has monetized our lives by tricking us into doom scrolling. That is not the purpose of this blog.

The reason I have written this blog for entire nightmare reign of The Felon has been to keep checking in with friends and family. The purpose of this post as all the others that have ben written each week has been to spread hope. Despair is a weapon of Fascism used to make it so people feel powerless. Remember that we can fight against this. If we were truly doomed, there wouldn’t be so much propaganda circulating to convince us we are powerless.

We can defeat this evil. And if nothing else, we can outlast it. Protect your energy if that is what it takes. And if you have the ability to do so, resist. Simply standing up to The Felon is seen by our government as an evil act. Essentially they are encouraging us to do just that.

The Bad

While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage FoundationPeter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.

An ordered list seems to be the best way to get through this section and so I’ll continue doing so. Negativity is the news’s specialty. And I want to focus on resisting and the positivity. But those bad things cannot be ignored. Giving it the least thought and fewest words is a proper compromise.

Everything ICE is doing in a city near, Cover up of ICE’s Terrorism by the FBI, Bombings in Iran and around the Middle East, A world run by pedophiles, Attacks against Jews, Election Interference, The Redacted Epstein Files, People gambling over what war crimes will be committed next, A Global Economy Threatened due to the Iran War

The Good

Well I intend to keep all the bad in the above section. So let’s focus on the good. And for one, I reduced the list of bad things in the above. Not because some of those bad things are gone. But because some of the bad things I listed are either things that have been going on forever, or are only bad in an inconsequential way. If some of those things I deleted become serious problems again, I’ll add them back. For now though, it feels nice to breath.

While data centers are appearing all over the United States, opposition to them continues to grow at an equal pace. Its becoming clear to lots of people that our Government actually can approve things quickly. Just not for normal people given how they can easily ignore the red tape. But our leaders have overplayed their hand. Which leads to the last point.

There are some places like in New York City where leadership is proving that all that red tape is just an excuse. When we fight and elect actual leaders instead of capitalists, we can accomplish things. More and more people are waking up to the fact that the middle class is a lie. There are only two classes in the United States: Working, and Capital. Workers of the world need to unite just as in times of old. We can change the world with that level of unity. Which is why the Capitalists are fighting as hard as they can to keep everyone divided.

Transition

This week I was hindered by a Florida heat wave. Summer is here and that means I have to change where I find positive energy from. Even with my mood better, I have to maintain my energy or I could fluctuate too far the other direction and become Manic and insufferable. And of course what goes up must come down. Each day is another where I risk falling back into Depression. And Anxiety episodes strike when least expected. This week the heat got to my head and left me in a haze. It took several days to free myself from it. I’ll have to fight even harder than before to control my energy and make sure it doesn’t get snatched away from me.

This blog has been a check in for my friends as well as one for myself. April is heading towards its second full week and I’m still not where I want to be. But I have found some motivation to try and reach new heights. Activities that bring me joy are so important because they keep the despair away. How much writing can I accomplish with a better head?

Anyway, its time for this blog to turn inwards and reflect. I had to battle depression and anxiety this week. Its always a threat and so it is vital that I found plenty that brought me joy. I refuse to let the mainstream media define my emotions. I’ll fight towards a better me even if I face adversity in my personal life and the world around me. The Felon will not drag me down. If you are feeling down and are searching for something to make you feel better, I’ll be providing links to those things that make me happy.

Workouts

This week I continued at my increased number of reps. 20 of each set doesn’t seem like a lot, but habits are best done with a slow build up. I am proud of myself for committing to a healthier body even if I have a lot more work to do before I can be completely content. And I’m pleased that I’m not as sore right now as I was the last time I upped my reps. Those results tell a story on their own.

Video Games

Well whenever I am feeling down, or if I am feeling well for that matter, video games are always a part of my life. Right now I’m playing more Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness while I write this blog post. Clearly Pokémon is and will be a fixture in my life. Its basically been something I have played since I was a small child.

Elden Ring, Civilization 7,  and Genshin Impact as they have been the last several months have been constant. But old and newcomer Baldur’s Gate 3 is back on the menu. Was looking for something to play with friends because I am taking a short break from Civilization 7. I’ll get to that one paragraph down.

Both Civilization 7 and Genshin Impact have important patches this Upcoming week. The latter will release Nicole, a certified yapper and probably the closest I’ll find to my spirit character in that game. Constantly info dumping even when its inappropriate? Check. Feeling compelled to do things that are against her interests? Check. Civilization 7’s patch is changing the game so much that I’ll likely be talking about it a lot next week.

Pokémon Go

After a rough week, I decided to take it easy in Pokémon Go. At least as far as PvP was concerned. I took the week off for my tournament matches. I’ll need to build some more Pokémon so that I help my teammates scrim. Right now I feel almost like dead weight compared to some of the others. A lot to improve on.

There was another community day this week, and although its a Pokémon that has been featured before, that Pokémon happened to be Deino. If you have been keeping track of this blog and other writings, you might be aware that Hydreigon, the final stage of Deino is my absolute favorite Pokémon in the entire series. Naturally I caught a ton of them. Enough to catch 200 Pokémon in a single day in fact which is required for me to level up.

I also took a week off mostly in Go Battle League. Master League I don’t have that many Pokémon built. And I lack options for Catch Cup. Perfect time to recharge and get ready for the next week.

Anime and Shows

A new season of Anime continues and with several shows for me to watch. This season I’m watching: Re:ZeroDaemons of the Shadow RealmWitch Hat Atelier, and Dr. Stone.

Re:Zero continues to steal the show. With Witch Hat Atelier right behind it. The latter ended on a pretty crazy cliffhanger though so we shall see if it can take the lead spot next week. Maybe the other two will surprise me, but so far, Re:Zero is the clear standout and one of my favorite shows not just Anime wise, but in general.

I’m making my way through the Whole Cake Island Arc of One Piece. I’m digging in, pun intended. And given what has happened so far, this is shaping up to be an incredible story segment. Its a longer arc but that’s fine given what has happened in prior arcs. With how there are places made of food and given the other imagery shown, my instincts were right. This is gonna be a frightening story arc.

Dungeons & Dragons

The next arc of my Centrum Glacies Campaign continued with an explosive chain of events. Every so often I’ll let my players take the story off the rails and then rebuild based on what they did. And this week, I was rewarded with a story beat that I never would have planned otherwise. That is what makes writing a story based on a Dungeons & Dragons campaign such a magical experience.

You can read what happened here. But please, and I mean this in the kindest way I can, mind the trigger warnings. This campaign is about to delve into some seriously dark topics which can be triggering for some people. There is nothing wrong with that part of my blog not being the best stuff to read for you. After all, the entire purpose of Surviving The Felon is to uplift and feel better.

Writing and Editing

Now that I have moved past most of my Earth Everafter Book 1 edits, I’m cleaning up a couple future chapters before we get to fixing those too. With all the changes I have made thus far, those chapters no longer work within the story. But it won’t take too long to bring them in line with everything else.

I also continued writing the next Search for Eden Novel. I’ll have a lot of research to do since this novel is much more science fiction than anything else I have ever written. It’s a convenient excuse to not edit as fast as I should be. Between figuring out space travel and unique planet biology, I have my work cut out for me. And this is only a few chapters in.

Reading and Podcasts

I have continued listening to Behind the Bastards led by Robert Evans and learning about some truly horrible people. Except this week I learned about a hero. Every so often, usually for a holiday special, the podcast will focus on a person who made the world a better place. And so I learned about the tragic life of Aaron Swartz who died because the US Government needed to look tough.

I also managed to break out of my mental haze long enough to read more Urek Mazino. I’m almost caught up to where the author is, but they add more chapters every week. I like to wait a bit and then read several of them back to back.

Wrap Up

As we head into the third week of May, don’t forget to take a deep breath and let all that stress out. Its been a terrifying year so far. But the tide is turning. What we are all seeing should serve as a warning and preview of what might happen next. Things are escalating fast, and so we need to be ready to stand firm against The Felon. But when things escalate that gives off a sense of urgency. We might be rushing towards the edge of a cliff, or with some hope, perhaps the end of this nightmare instead. But we must not rush into things ourselves, even as things change quickly.

The Felon is fading, faster than ever in fact. Less and less people are cool with him being a pedophile. So he and his handlers push fear on us because that is all they know. Even trying to cancel elections will not stop us from trying to hold them accountable. And once they are gone, may their legacy be tainted by their wicked deeds. Assuming they don’t do something incredibly suicidal and brainless like launching nuclear missiles first. I still have hope things won’t reach that point.

And outside of The Felon, Capitalism, The One World Order that American Libertarians claim we need to fear while they worship it tries to reduce our lives to monetary value. It is up to us to build lives that stand in defiance of this. Art cannot be quantified by capital and that is why those in power continue to demonize it alongside Liberal Arts. Anything demonized by Fascists is something that we should all care about. Because anything they oppose is what will help bring them down.

Anyway, you know who also doesn’t understand art and sentimental stuff at all? The Felon. Let’s outlast him in 2026. As humans, let’s show love and light to those we care about. Those things are what make us better people. In fact its what makes us human. Our heartbeats are greater than anything he stands for. While he destroys, we rebuild. Our hearts craft beauty and wonder despite his parasitic presence. And we will only become stronger once he is no longer in our way. We will Survive The Felon together and unstoppable. ICE will melt and we will endure.

As a reward for making it to the end, here is a cat grooming himself. You can also see a little of the mess I put on the floor for him to play with.
