Surviving the Felon: Week of 10/25/2025

I’m back with another instalment of Surviving the Felon. Its the most wonderful time of the year. Spooky Season is at its peak. And so I ask that The Felon go away for a while. This time of the year is far too important for you to waste the same air as me. In fact maybe he should go on a permanent vacation. That way we can all be rid of him.

Now that I am back to taking walks, it is easier for me to drown out all the negativity that the main stream media is pushing. They want us afraid and feeling weak. They want The Felon to appear strong. But of course they are failing because their propped up puppet leader is sundowning. We must hope that when he is finally gone that his cult will not move onto another figurehead.

But while we wait for the opportunity to earn our better future, we can set the groundwork for tomorrow today. We need to meet people in our communities. Social media has trapped us on our phone and we don’t even know our neighbors. If each of us befriended one neighbor, that would be one bond stronger to fight Fascism.

The Bad

While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage FoundationPeter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.

As before I’ll be listing the bad as a list. This is the least important part of this post and the section I want to move past as quickly as possible. Here we go:

The Felon demolished part of the White House for a Vanity Project, The Window Shover is once again threatening nuclear war, Gerrymandering, Everything ICE is doing in a city near you, Government still shut down, Healthcare Costs going way up, The Felon declaring that he will run for president again.

The Good

Ok still with me? Good. Now that we are done talking about all the terrible things happening in this country, let’s focus on those things that should give us hope. And I once again want to commend every person who is protesting. We cannot let The Felon normalize what is happening. And so we must push back constantly. I commend every person who has done so in whatever way they are capable. Even small actions are a form of resistance.

As people are resisting, never forget that the people we oppose are a joke. The costumes at protests are a reminder that we are funnier, kinder, and more capable of creating art in all its forms. These Fascists are flailing and harming are us because they are not as capable as us in any way. The sooner we can be rid of them and overpower their hate, the sooner we can have a world of love and light in its place.

We are not alone. We have allies around the world that are rejecting Fascism like in Ireland. And even though countries like Japan seem to be making the same mistakes as the United States. I am confident that we as a species can overcome this. Just as we have in the past. The internet can be used for good and to spread the positive parts of our respective cultures to one another. The ruling class will not take that from us.

Transition

We have made it past the political section. Time to turn the rest of this post inwards and reflect on my own week. The more energy I have, the better equipped I am to resist Fascism. And while resisting, I might even have enough energy to be a functioning adult too. Like fixing my car which I put off for far too long. The cost makes me cringe, but I am able to take care of myself and solve emergencies as they come up.

If you are feeling down or hopeless, never be afraid to reach out to your friends. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness but of maturity. And I am more than happy to help you by showcasing my interests and how they helped me smile this week. Those links are provided to help you find something to let your own light shine.

Workouts

This week I did a simple core workout. Its not much since its just a set of pushups, crunches, squats, and planks. But every little bit helps. More relevant was the 6 mile hike I went on this week. As well as the 1 mile walk I took after I dropped my car off at the repair shop so I could go home. I’ll be aiming for even more this upcoming week. The weather is nicer and so I can be outside more.

Video Games

The weather in Florida has finally decided its fall. And that means more time outside and less time inside playing video games. But that is no problem because I need to pace myself anyway. Been playing a lot of games and not socializing so much outside of them. This week, I was playing Civilization 7 while writing every section of this blog post, up to this one. And that is cause I just won a game. I’ll be switching over something else to help me write the rest of this post.

As for the other games I played this week, they include the usual suspects. Genshin Impact had an incredible Archon Quest and really set the tone for patch 6.1. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this game. Pokémon Legends Z-A has also been incredible. And the reviews hating on it should be ignored. The point of a video game is to have fun. And this game has taken several hours from me and I feel unbothered.

The final game I played this week was Baldur’s Gate 3. I’m playing with several different friends who all have never played the game before. And watching their experiences brings me joy. Hopefully I can go through the whole game with them and let them see the even better Act 2.

Pokémon Go

I went on another hike this week. It wasn’t as long as my 7 mile long haul a few weeks back, but I covered a decent amount of distance. I wrote at length about that adventure here. You should take a look if this is your thing. I wish I could make it mine. These walks are therapeutic.

Spooky season is in Pokémon Go as well. And I have been catching everything I can while playing. Many Ghost and Dark types are spawning and many of them happen to be among my favorites. And beyond that, several more are needed for my PvP Teams.

Once more I did not get a chance to have a match myself in my Pokémon Go Battle League. I did do some practice matches with teammates and have given input to help everyone. So even if I don’t play matches directly, I can still contribute to the cause.

Anime and Shows

I’m locked in with To Your EternityGachiakuta and Spy x Family. The three together give the right amount of silly and serious. As I mentioned last week, this fall season has a clear favorite for me and its To Your Eternity. Once more the best episode of the week goes to that show. Let’s see if the other two can outdo one of my favorite shows.

I’m watching Lord of Mysteries right now as I work on this blog post. Told you I would be playing video games less. The show has a lot going on but such a fascinating Magic System that I keep watching for more. As each episode crams a lot into 30 minutes, this is a show I tend to watch once or twice a week at most.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to watch any One Piece this week. But I think I’ll get back to that for next week. Its not that I am not enjoying the show. I just had lot else to do. One Piece is something I watch when I have free time. That way, given its length, I’ll have content for a long time.

Dungeons & Dragons

Unfortunately this is week 3 of three of taking a break from my Centrum Glacies Campaign. But its the last time we won’t be playing for a while. So I’ll have plenty to work on and even more content for the website.

Writing and Editing

This week I was focused solely on writing. That seems likely to continue since I’ll be spending all of November writing. Still wild to me that October is almost over. And I made serious headway into my fifth Search for Eden Novel. When I feel strong emotions while writing, that is how I know I did something good.

This time around the emotion was disgust. But if you want to know what was bothering me, you will need to wait for this book to be published. And it might be a while.

Reading

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic was the main story I read this week, but it wasn’t the only one. Urek Mazino and The God of High School also took up some reading time. And I picture that this pattern will continue for a while longer. Once I finish Magi, I plan to finish the others before moving on to something else.

Wrap Up

The Felon’s failures continue to pile up. And while he grows more deranged, the rest of us have grown more steadfast towards enduring his evil. We will make it past his filth and create a better world that he and people like him will be harder pressed to ruin. It might take time, but we can make a world that is more accessible for everyone and is filled with more art and less monetization.

So don’t lose yourself to Capitalism. Make some art, write a poem, or even enjoy one of these things. So long as we don’t spend every second trying to make money. As long as we take time to enjoy the world we live in, for ourselves and not for others, we are taking back our lives. The Felon will fail to steal everything. All kings and wannabes fade with time. They are cast out forgotten once they fade.

And so, even as this evil seems to be all around, even while it seems to spread like a virus that The Felons followers were too foolish to mask up against, we will weather this storm and outlast them. Not only do we outnumber them, but our hearts are stronger for it. Unlike them we have those we care for motivating us to be better. While they have nothing more than hate and sadism. Those emotions fizzle out over time.

Our Hearts Beat as One. The Felon is too weak to defeat us.

As a reward for making it to the end, here is a sleepy kitty.
