Surviving the Felon: Week of 5/17/2025
I’m back with another instalment of surviving the Felon. We have survived more than half of May now and while things are looking even more bleak than before, there is also plenty of hope to find. Notably those with money and power are clashing with each other. Right now we might all be in survival mode, but it may be that our patience and courage is rewarded even sooner than I thought.
The Felon is desperate to distract from his many failures. But they continue to pile up and even the news and media controlled by those Venture Capitalist Vultures is failing to hide the chaos. People are waking up that were asleep. The use of woke as a negative phrase is slowly dissolving while truth and wakefulness start gripping the hearts and minds of those who needed it desperately.
And so power is starting to come back to us all. Do not let our hearts be mired down in negative energy. As light and love for one another slowly grows greater, we should remember that those in power fear us banding together. Check on friends, family, and even neighborhoods. Communities that are stronger are better equipped to fight the Gestapo and The Felon commanding it.
The Bad
While the news tries to control what we are worried about, don’t forget to learn more about the Heritage Foundation, Peter Thiel, and Curtis Yarvin. These are our real enemies, alongside The Window Shover of course. I’m putting this at the start of The Bad Section because I feel like this is by far the most important thing to get out of the negative.
Anyway let’s talk about that jet, “gifted” by Qatar. Not only is it obvious that such an item is heavily bugged and serves as a security issue of the highest order, but the blatant corruption behind it is taking everything happening in the United States into a deeper and darker place. The Felon is now befriending some of our most horrible enemies like one of those who helped make 9/11 happen. But then again The Felon was pleased when the towers fell down because he had the tallest building in New York for a short time.
I imagine as the United States grovels before terrorists that the war between India and Pakistan will intensify. As will the conflicts in the Middle East. In fact, I’ll be watching closely to see how Israel reacts to the Felon becoming buddy buddy with one of that country’s most dangerous foes. That Qatar again by the way in case you didn’t know.
And let’s not forget the very real life Handmaids Tale way woman is trapped on life support despite the fact that she is essentially brain dead all for the sake of having a child. The Felon’s world is one where women are baby making factories with no rights to their own bodies. And we as a species cannot let this stand.
The Good
Well now that the bad is talked about for the week, let’s focus on the good. And I want to start with that Qatar plane again. You might be asking yourselves how I can find any good in that situation. Well, my good reader, I’m glad you mentally asked. Look at the reactions to The Felon’s actions. Even some of his strongest supporters are seeing an issue with his behavior. Even the news sources that are deeply under his control have pushed back. In fighting is what always takes Fascism down. And I encourage all of us to make sure that these clashes between allies continue.
My home state of Illinois continues to fight back against The Felon. And I hope that other states follow suit. California needs a new governor and I hope Illinois shines as an example of how to fight back against this darkness. If you live in another state do what you can to try and match policy. Even if you are trapped in a horribly red state like I am in Florida, silence won’t accomplish anything. Make noise. Your voice is powerful lest they wouldn’t be trying to silence it.
And as the tariffs reveal who will actually be paying the cost, his loyal followers are starting to waver. Their entire reason for supporting him was to hurt the “right people.” Turns out that they are themselves considered those same people and they feel betrayed. Let them be shocked for a time, but when these people are ready to return to reality, we should extend them a kind hand. Be ready for backlash, but it should be them not us that proves their wicked hearts to be constant.
Transition
Well there you have a few of the issues happening in the world. The issues I pick tend to be ones that I find most important. And I’m sorry to once again admit that I’m not even close to reporting on everything. The price of being an armature journalist at best and all that.
Anyway, I’m gonna switch gears as usual at this point and talk about the things in my personal life allowing me to resist The Felon with smiles and a head held high. Hobbies such as art as the greatest form of expression against this hate and something that The Felon and his cronies are incapable of understanding. If you are feeling down and need ideas on how to lift yourself back up, feel free to take a look at what I have been up to for yourself.
Video Games
Naturally the very first thing I tend to do when feeling down is play video games. As the sun intensifies and Florida heats up to summer, it will mean less time outside. Oh what am I to do other than stare at different screens in my free time? Well not like its a bad thing since I play a lot of social games. Eldin Ring is once more something I’m playing. And with friends this time. Just because I am staying home more does not mean I’m not interacting with other humans.
And speaking of multiplayer, I spent some time with Helldivers 2. There are new enemies in the Illuminate Army and the story is escalating as the squids aim for earth itself. I like fighting that faction the most so of course I was gonna play on a campaign focused on them.
Once more its Genshin Impact that I’m playing while writing this blog post. And between this and Oblivion I have plenty of small boosts of dopamine to help me complete tasks around my house. Its a shame we live in a world where work is forced to be complete productivity. I am finding more and more that I work best in short productive bursts with periods of play in between. Oh and punching Necromancers to death in Oblivion never gets old.
Pokémon Go
Its been too hot the last few weeks for me to go on a Pokémon Go hike. Which if I am being honest makes me a bit upset. Going for a walk is one of my favorite stress relivers. But getting sunburned or worse, heat exhaustion will impact my life in far too many ways for me to risk it. So instead I’ll be waiting for things to cool off a bit before continuing my adventures.
But I do have some serious good news from the PvP side of things. While my Great League Remix Team ended up not so ideal, this past week was Retro Cup, and I finally found a team that legitimately worked. And far better than I could have ever hoped. After a long year of learning competitive Pokémon Go to the best of my ability I at long last saw proof of getting better. I finally made it to Veteran Rank which is a serious milestone on my journey to getting better at the game.

Anime and Shows
The pattern continues as I am once more not completely caught up on Fire Force. Funny enough I was with a lot of friends the night before I wrote this and we all talked about watching the show. But it didn’t happen. So I’ll once more be watching it on my own before my next blog post. I’m sure the battles will only get more spectacular as the season goes on.
Meanwhile I have finally reached the end of Thriller Bark in One Piece. All that remains before I move on to the next season is Brook’s backstory. Given what I already know about the silly skeleton, I’m sure I’ll be watching another emotional gut punch of a tale. And then right after that the next arc is hailed as an even better Water 7. And considering how much I loved that arc, I can’t wait to see what happens in the Summit War Arc.
Dungeons & Dragons
This week I was back to form and ran a fairly chaotic session of my Centrum Glacies Campaign. You can read about the chaos here, which includes a Stegosaurus and what appears to be a Total Party Kill against some Winter Wolves. But don’t worry. Death is hardly the worst thing that can happen in one of my campaigns.
Writing and Editing
My editor is hard at work looking at my Earth Everafter manuscript. I can only imagine how difficult it is to edit that story considering how long ago I wrote it. More props to him every time he helps me make changes cause this story is transforming into something incredible. I never would have been able to make this book what it is now without his help.
I got a little bit of writing in too. I’ll be back to form by this next week as I ease myself into constant writing again after taking a week off for personal health. I’ll be sure to gush about that in person and on this blog when that happens.
Reading
I finished what has been written thus far of Tower of God and the Urek Mazino spinoff isn’t translated to English yet. But that was not a problem because I already had another book to read.
I’m now reading The Golden Compass which is the first novel of His Dark Materials and every moment has been great. Its a fantastic book and deserves all the praise it gets. The movie was an awful excuse of an imitation. But I am told the TV Adaptation is much better. I’m almost done with the first book and the other two are sitting on my desk. I’ll be writing about my thoughts on those stories soon enough.
Wrap Up
The Felon is flailing about. And we are surviving his stupidity every single day. While some days and even weeks fill me with dread and fill my thoughts with horrific distractions, others like today I am filled with relief. I have to remember that while the events of our times are horrible, the people running the show are morons. This isn’t a dystopian series where an ancient cult is following the guidance of an unstoppable malevolent God. Its just a bunch of greedy people with a God complex.
The Felon will fail. His bad health and even worse habits will catch up with him. The Simpsons has done a good job predicting things and it is my hope that the show will be right once more. And soon. While a president Couch Humper sounds scary, he lacked the charisma to guide The Felon’s Cult. And he is a clear figurehead with no goals and motives of his own.
The Window Shover is trying to steal what he can in Ukraine while The Felon is still president as are the Oligarchs like The Stalker and The Nazi. Their time to steal and fleece the United States is no unlimited. And my hope is that their vast wealth will not protect them from what happens when they are no longer protected.
For all the reasons above, we must not succumb to despair. As our hearts beat as one powerful voice, we must outlast and survive The Felon all together. Let our kindness and love drown out their hate and darkness. They are weak feeble fools and we are strong and united.
Here is a cat picture for a little extra happiness today.
