Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Bookertown Park
After a long break, I decided it was time to explore again. This time I set out for Bookertown Park. This spot had drawn my attention while browsing maps one day and I finally got a chance to check it out.
Bookertown Park is located in a secluded neighborhood not far from Interstate 4. US Highway 17-92 isn’t far either. But if not for the fact that you can hear cars going by in the distance, you wouldn’t realize how close you are to either of these major roads. Instead, the park feels like a small green space in its own pocket of reality.
As far as things to do, there is plenty to choose. Basketball courts and a baseball field for those looking to play a game or open fields for those who simply want to relax. But there is more too. With a playground for the little ones, the park is perfect for just about any family or group of friends.
I visited fairly early in the morning and so was the only one here. Though that left me curious to know when it might be a bit more crowded here. Doubtful that a park with this many features just sits empty most of the time. But then again some green spaces are like that despite what they have to offer. Maybe this blog post will change that for locals. Go check this park out if you have the time.
Pokémon Go:
Let’s take a look at Bookertown Park in Pokémon Go. Since I’m away from the Florida swamps and at a park with several land marks, there are plenty of Pokestops and a couple gyms too. With several spawns dotting the park, this is a decent place to play. Admittedly I focused more on the atmosphere than the game, but its not a bad place if you are looking for an out of the way corner to relax and catch some Pokémon.
Like all parks, the Gyms are EX Raid viable, but I’m unsure if that means anything post Covid. I don’t know if Ex Raids will ever return. But the fact that they are still marked in the game has to count for something right?
Since I’m still working on a long chain quest in Pokémon Go, I’ll be walking buddy Pokémon that you saw in the past. You might remember this one as a Sewaddle but now its a Leavanny. Look forward to more adventures with this little Mantis Pokémon.
Here I am and pleased to be back for more adventures. A lot happened in my life over the past few months, and I’m still going through a lot of changes, so for a bit the blog posts might be a bit inconsistent. But once things settle properly, I’ll be ready to create tons of content for you all. Look forward to more adventures when they come.
