Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Park on Park

For my next adventure, I checked out Park on Park. Its one of the many green spaces in the historic district of Sanford, Florida.

Before I talk about Park on Park, I want to mention that I didn’t take pictures of almost an entire 1/3 of the place. There were several kids at play and there is a massive playground in that space. And since I find it immoral to have pictures of kids on my blog, I avoided it. Also its illegal to do that, but wanted to make my priorities clear.

Anyway, for the rest of Park on Park, there is plenty of green space to do whatever you might so choose. And if you want to sit and think, there is a butterfly garden positioned to do just that. Like many of the other parks I visited recently, this spot in in the middle of Sanford. Don’t limit yourself to just one park if you come here. There are tons of beautiful spaces worth exploring all near each other and reachable by sidewalk.

This park is relatively accessible too. Maybe a few more sidewalks would improve it further. On the other hand, the pavement would take away some of the green space. So you win some and lose some. I personally feel that the grassy fields fit this park perfectly. But I also am aware of how that might limit who can visit.

Pokémon Go:

Park on Park might not look like much as far as Pokémon Go is concerned. Though there are a ton of stops in this small space, there were few spawns to speak of here. But that isn’t painting the whole picture.

Remember this is one park of many within downtown Sanford. There are tons of stops, parks, and spawns every block in every direction. You can even see several examples in the above picture alone. For that reason among many, even if its just for Pokémon Go, you should give Park on Park a visit while seeing Sanford’s beauty.

The sneaky fox is back. And don’t let this picture distract from the fact that its in your house eating your stuff while you read this.

The sun was in my face but that wasn’t an issue. Nor was the fact that I needed to avoid half the park to make sure random kids didn’t appear in my photos. There is a lot to see and do in Sanford. Make sure to keep checking back to see even more parks and trails.
