Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Lake Cherokee Park
Continuing my adventure in the many parks in one area, I entered Lake Cherokee Park. Combining aspects of the last few areas I visited, this one had a mix and match of the others both in and out of Pokemon Go.
First I took a walk around the non lake part of Lake Cherokee Park. The open fields were in use by multiple pet parents. Though I love my cat dearly, I imagine that he would never want to come here. I was a little jealous seeing so many happy dogs running around. I ended this part of the tour with a picture of the path I used for the rest of my exploration.
Like the other parks in this region, I was in close proximity to downtown Orlando. Unlike the others though, I could spot advertisement planes in the air. I was not close enough to read what they said though. I managed to capture some of the wildlife that lives here. Sadly, one of the best pictures that featured a swan is too blurry for even a person with my amateur skills to showcase. Just take my word for it.
Downtown is close enough for the city skyline to be visible. I have taken many pictures of this view from equal numbers of angles. Eventually, I will try to be a downtown park at night so I can capture this skyline properly.
Pokemon Go:
Here is Lake Cherokee Park in Pokemon Go. One can see Toll Road 408 to the north as that mass of roads. Compared to the other nearby parks, this one is sort of in the middle. There is only one Pokestop and Gym in the park’s boundaries. And this area is not a nest. However, that lone Gym is one of the coveted EX Gyms. That alone makes this park worth visiting.
And yes, I did catch that Bronzor. Here is proof of that.
I also hatched an almost perfect Meditite. While there are many better fighting types in Pokemon Go, when Mega Evolutions are added, that might change the game into this critter’s favor. There are still parks nearby to explore and I will keep working through them. And hatching eggs that is.
