Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Fort Gatlin Recreation Complex
Located near South Bumby Avenue and Lake Margaret Drive, Fort Gatlin Recreation Complex sits and Pokemon Go demanded I take a look. In so far, I have avoided recreation centers since it is difficult to fully explore them. Today I decided to test to see if that was true.
Unfortunately, my hypothesis about most of the area being off limits to me proved true. As a result, I chose to explore the one area of Fort Gatlin Recreation Complex that was not barred: The lake in the back. There is a trail here perfect for a little walk.
Here is another picture I took of the walking trail. This area is farther away from the pond and the open field is likely used for outdoor sports. This is even more obvious given the visible dirt that indicates constant use.
I managed to snap one picture that showed the trail as well as the greater complex located nearby. Since I could not get into the facilities, I had only a limited number of pictures to take. You live and learn I suppose. I am glad I got this out of the way now while still learning about viable places to explore with Pokemon Go.
Pokemon Go:
Here is the part of Fort Gatlin Recreation Complex I was able to explore in Pokemon Go. The stop nearby is just barely within reach, while a Pokemon gym was not within range. While I did encounter a few Pokemon as I walked around the lake, their actual spawn locations were inside the nearby neighborhood.
My final verdict on this one is if you have membership, Recreation Centers have potential. However, if you lack one, it is best to look elsewhere. Unfortunately, the limited space made it basically too time consuming for me to hatch any eggs today. I’ll make up for that tomorrow.
