Megacon 2026 Day 4
Megacon 2026 Day 4 is the shortest day of the event. And it was even shorter for me. Partially I was feeling burnout from being active the other three days, but mostly it was because I needed to get my brother and his friend to the airport. This didn’t end up being a problem though. While I was at the convention I found a panel I wanted to go to, and managed to snag some photos along the way.
Let’s take a look at what I did and found during Megacon 2026 Day 4.
A majority of my time during Megacon 2026 Day 4 was spent waiting in a line. And I’ll get to what the line was for in a moment. First I want to highlight some of the photos I took while I walked the sales floor and hallways one final time. I got photographs of Gyro and Johnny from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, R2D2 from Star Wars, Malenia from Elden Ring, and a Sunbro from Dark Souls.
The cosplays at Megacon are top notch every day and I wish I could have taken more pictures. But alas I needed to wait in a line. And I’ll cover what I waited for in the next section.
That line was to attend a KPop Demon Hunters Panel that included Ji-Young Yoo, Arden Cho, and Rei Ami. They voice from left to right: Zoey, Rumi, and Zoey when she sings. The panel covered the movie extensively but also delved into the importance of representation within the Asian American Community. I was glad that this theme seemed to be brought up again and again during the week. It has never been more important that creatives give voices to as many people as possible.
There were plenty of tear filled moments. This movie meant a lot to all three of these talented actresses. And the fact that KPop Demon Hunters had won awards had been liberating for them. In fact Ji-Young Yoo had been on the brink of giving up on her acting career before she had taken her role as Zoey. These moments are why creating art in all forms is such a vital part of the human experience. I’ll be rewatching KPop Demon Hunters now that I have seen just how much these three actresses poured their heart and souls into it.
Wrap Up
And just like that another four amazing days have gone by. Megacon 2026 Day 4 might have been short, but my time at the convention was well spent. This was one of the best years at this con. I met so many actors that I have been meaning to see for years. Several that I never thought I would ever get a chance to.
It will be hard for Megacon 2027 to one up this year, but I’ll eagerly await a chance to be proven wrong. See you next year in May Megacon!
