Centrum Glacies Session 154: Nine Days Part 1

Admin/ October 4, 2026/ Anime, Books, Centrum Glacies, Dungeons and Dragons

Week 154 of the Dungeons and Dragons Campaign in Centrum Glacies continues as the party finally take a chance to relax over the course of 9 days. This part one if their mini vacation.

Like my other campaign, I’m turning this one into a book series. You can check out the first one here.

Anyway, just like my other campaign, there is a whole lot going on and I don’t want to elaborate on every moving piece in the story. You can see the whole thing in the book series.

!!!Trigger Warning!!!

This story deals with a cruel world with some horrific twists. So far, this campaign has featured: Animals getting killed, Genocide, lots of body horror, evil cults, brainwashing, torture, psychological warfare, child abuse, and slavery.

Most recently, the party helped cause a complete planetary genocide. Save a few survivors, no one remains from that world. They are still grappling with this unfathomable loss of life and their role in making it happen. It is clear that their suffering is far from over. They can only hope they don’t cause untold pain to an even more untold more.

!!!Final Trigger Warning!!!

Teztcal and Kisara left the guild hall. The two Dragons wanted to vent their anger and needed a quick victim that wouldn’t get them arrested. Jyona tried to follow them, but they took off flying. And at a speed that she wouldn’t be able to follow them at.

The two made their way to his soon to be lair so they could have a staging ground to go hunting. But as it turned out, they didn’t need to venture far to find enemies to kill that the law would ignore. Because those victims had made the mistake of trying to lay claim to the very cave that Teztcal had already claimed.

Eager to let off steam and angry that anyone had dared try to claim this place as their own, the two Dragons brought violence upon them. The Bandits acted like they had a numbers advantage until Teztcal and Kisara revealed their true natures.

Scrying

Back in the city, Jyona went off on her own down into the lower city. Not wanting to walk all the way around, she went from the upper to lower section of Zrin by jumping off a bridge and blink dagger teleporting down to safety. By the time she had planned and executed this maneuver, Trent had found her. Curious to know what she was doing, Trent wild shaped into a small bird and followed her.

Jyona moved to a secluded area to try and scry Jak-Rath. Unfortunately her attempt failed. Trent’s words had stung her deeply despite all her previous sacrifices. To dispel these feelings of inadequacy she decided to throw herself completely into finding that Wild Shape Book that the Dark Elf Mad Scientist had stolen.

The druid watched, but didn’t see what Jyona had done. He choose a bad moment to make himself known with a caw. Jyona only felt more inclined to do increasingly more dangerous things for the sake of a breakthrough. Trent didn’t know about any of this as he flew back up to where Obrom was by the guild hall.

Grisly Tidings

Way back in a certain cave, the two Dragons easily killed all the bandits. Kisara had frozen several of them with her breath weapon. And as the two looked upon what they had done, a morbid idea crossed Teztcal’s mind. And when he shared his plan with his daughter, she decided to help her father with redecorating.

The two Dragons proceeded to hang the statues from the top of the cave entrance with rope. Not only did it amuse them, but the two were confident that this display would warn away other would be invaders. Neither wanted anyone else to try and use their lair.

Trent decided to leave Obrom while still in his bird form. Instead, he moved to check the northern orphanage. He sought Anethren’s window to check and see if she had been turned into a Vampire. He saw nothing, but heard the woman crying in her room.

The Druid pecked at the window to try and get attention. Instead the crying stopped. And the room fell silent. Trent was too small to properly move the blinds that kept him out of the room. And if anything, the matron closed the blinds more. Something that almost seemed excessive.

Seeking to Right Wrongs

Jyona meanwhile headed the opposite direction Trent had. Without even knowing what her Druid companion was up to, she checked in with the other orphanage. It had been a while since anyone in the party had visited the Demon Quarter and the children who were protected in this place.

Maerwynn the matron saw Jyona and called her over. Her lover Tyche was with her and that reminded the Half-Elf that it hadn’t been too long ago that she had been enemies with both of them. And now she was here to check on things.

And while the group had focused on the other orphanage given the danger it was in due to Simon, the Zrin Guard Captain, this place was having a similar problem with another captain of the Guard. But the problem soldier was shaking them down for money, rather than… whatever Simon was doing to Anethren.

Jyona was eager to help given hear failures and frustration at Trent’s current behavior. She asked about where the Captain might be located. Maerwynn groaned and told her that when he wasn’t bothering the orphange, he could usually be found being a problem at the Lower City Brothel. Ignoring the fact that every other time Jyona had gone near a brothel had been dangerous for her, she decided to seek out the Guard Captain. She transformed into her Rakshasa form and disguised herself as a male guard.

As she headed towards the brothel, leaving before even saying goodbye, she had forgotten to do something important. Jyona had not asked for the guard’s name or what he looked like.

Wrap Up

One day has gone by and while most of the party have chosen to relax before the wedding, Jyona is heading into more danger than she knows.
