Exploring the World with Pokémon Go: Seminole Wekiva Trail 6
After my adventure in the tunnels I was ready to explore Seminole Wekiva Trail 6. I thought my last adventure would be the high point, but I found something incredible here.
Mile Marker 7.0:
I started my adventure down Seminole Wekiva Trail 6 by crossing the street where I stopped before. Mile Marker 7.0 stood right in my path greeting me as I went by.
This next segment needed to be incredible. Or else I would forget it when it was up against my last adventure. The last adventure had tunnels and amazing murals along the fences. Well, as you are about to see, this part of the trail blew me away and exceeded my already high expectations.
Mile Marker 7.25:
There were so many different works of art. Getting a picture of every single one would be impossible within the scope of this blog. Not to mention I didn’t even get all my favorites. I tend to take pictures as a spur of the moment. It makes what I find feel more authentic to me.
I’ll let this artwork speak for itself. There is no need for me to try and describe my feelings on what I saw. Why not take a look and see how you feel. Even better, why not visit the trail and take your own look. You might find artwork I didn’t get a chance to take pictures of.
Mile Marker 7.25 marked what I thought was the end of the art. But rarely have I been so glad that I was wrong.
Mile Marker 7.5:
On a trail that continued to amaze, this seemed to be a difficult highlight to top. Even the tunnel in my last adventure didn’t steal all the light and wonder I felt when I visited this section. That isn’t to say that the art was the only reason for my excitement.
After all, I still was in a forested area. And it had just finished raining before I snapped these photos. The weather was perfect. Not too hot or cold. The humidity wasn’t too bad. And since the sky was still overcast, the sun’s intense rays didn’t bear down on me as harshly as some of my prior adventures.
As I passed Mile Marker 7.5, I wasn’t sure if there were any more works of art remaining down the trail. But even if this was the end, it didn’t bother me. My expectations had already been exceeded. I was ready to see what else I would discover in this perfect weather.
Mile Marker 7.75:
This section of Seminole Wekiva Trail 6 sadly marked the end of murals and artwork. But that was fine. It meant I got a chance to enjoy nature more. Since it was raining when I first got here, I left my headphones in my car. Sometimes I listen to music while I walk. Especially on days where I am stressed out and need to focus my thoughts.
But while here, I got to fully take in nature’s sounds. Its fun to immerse in nature and just listen to the world around you. There are so many things going on that we remain ignorant of.
Mile Marker 7.75 didn’t have anything new as I went past. But the artwork had been an amazing experience. I didn’t really need anything else amazing. I was content with my choices that led here. This trail has been a treat from start to this point. I look forward to what I find next.
Mile Marker 8.0:
The next section of Seminole Wekiva Trail 6 took me through a part of the nearby forest that felt isolated and quiet. After such a stressful couple weeks, this was just what I needed. This relaxing stroll through the woods helped me calm down while taking in sights.
I passed Mile Marker 8.0 and smiled knowing that I still had roughly a mile of trail left before my adventure was done. Sometimes I wish that these quiet walks could be my life and that I didn’t need to return to a society that makes me work while not taking my mental health into account. Well, nothing I can do to change that I suppose.
Mile Marker 8.25:
Feeling alone in the woods came to an end on Seminole Wekiva Trail 6. I crossed multiple roads both public and private. I looked at the map afterwards to figure out where some of these roads led. Just to sate my curiosity of course. This entire section of the trail as well as the area around it was unknown to me. I knew nothing about the surrounding areas.
Multiple signs told me how close I was to other points of interest. Mile Marker 8.25 told me where I was in relation to the rest of the trail. I felt like this section was a place between other important landmarks. Nothing wrong with that though. Not every spot need to be exciting on its own. Life and its many adventures are about buildup and excitement.
Mile Marker 8.5:
Mile Marker 8.5 on Seminole Wekiva Trail 6 was more of the same. The forest started to give way to more open areas. I saw more and more people going by as well. This only indicated further that I was reaching the end of this part of the adventure.
Though there were still signs of the early rainfall, the Florida humidity was getting to work on it. It wasn’t going to be long before the damp ground was dry again. For those of you who don’t live in Florida, this is an every day occurrence.
I saw a couple signs indicating that deviating from the trail would put me on someone’s private property. The fact that people cling too tightly to what they perceive as there’s feels like a moral failing on society. Of course, I am prepared for those reading to argue that I am no different in this regard.
Mile Marker 8.75:
By the time I reached Mile Marker 8.75 on Seminole Wekiva Trail 6, the sun had started coming back out. The heat was starting to come back, but I wasn’t worried. I was nearing the end of my adventure. Content with what I saw, I took in the sights of my final destination for the day.
I started and ended my journey at the Jones Trailhead. There were a couple workout machines here as well as the first comprehensive map that showed where I had been so far and where I was going next.
There are still plenty of places to see, and I look forward to whatever surprises come my way next. Seminole Wekiva Trail continues to exceed my expectations. My next adventure is certain to be great too.
Pokémon Go:
So how did Seminole Wekiva Trail 6 measure up in Pokémon Go? When there are landmarks everywhere, Pokestops and Gyms also tend to appear in those spots. Compared to the last part of the trail, this section was identical. So there were constant spawns, many gyms and even more Pokestops. The Trailhead was by far the best spot though. Maybe in my next post, I’ll take a picture of that spot.
The trailhead is great if you are looking for a quick adventure. But if you want a longer and more unique experience, go along the entire trail and check out all the parks along the way like I am. That is in my opinion the true Pokémon Go experience.
I hatched two eggs during my jounry down Seminole Wekiva Trail 6. Unfortunately Sableye is meh at best, while the Meditite needs to have perfect IVs to be worthwhile. However, if I do hatch the perfect one, then I’ll have an amazing Pokémon to use in Great League PVP.
I had a lot of fun hiking down Seminole Wekiva Trail 6. Look at that smile. You might not even realize I’m an edgelord. Let’s hope I find even more exciting things on my next adventure.
