Surviving the Quarantine: Post 14
My personal life continues to get better while the world around me continues to burn. Here is Surviving the Quarantine Post 14. Be sure to check out the rest of this series.
The United States is more than halfway down the road to becoming an open Fascist State. We have Brown Shirts running around cities such as Portland rounding up undesirables and making them disappear. Soon Chicago will be added to that.
Gun Violence:
Ah yes, let’s talk about Chicago. My hometown is a favorite bogyman of Conservatives. They love to cite gun statistics while completely ignoring the fact that Chicago isn’t even close to the top of that list, or the fact that many of those shootings happen in Gary, Indiana which is part of Chicago’s designated population.
In fact, Gary Indiana having a gun problem indicates quite strongly that there is not as much correlation between gun control and gun violence as these same Conservatives might think. But don’t tell these people that. They hate math, statistics, and education. After all, why would they spend so much time de-funding these institutions if they cared about them.
The United States Economy is also going to hell. This will cause more violence and destruction to erupt all over the country. That will in turn help push our country even deeper into the Fascist pit. There is good reason that Capitalism and Fascism go hand in hand.
Fascism:
Anyway, back to the fact that the United States has its own Gestapo running around, I’m quite terrified for my life in that regard. I’m Jewish and Autistic. Entire group’s exist just to kill people like me. Said groups are teaming up even now to see my destroy my kind.
And those groups are on the left too. Antisemitism is still trying to hijack the Black Lives Matter Movement. I feel powerless on that front since I have little influence and am viewed by the left as an entitled white man. My voice would be silenced if I even tried to explain myself.
Not that the right is any better of course. I have been called a Judenrat by Trump supporting Jews. Ironic since this lunatic they worship is copying Nazi tactics. I shouldn’t be surprised though. Those same Jews supported Hitler too.
Poetry:
So since people love to use a famous poem to showcase how this division is gonna kill all of us, here is the modern day version, written by me:
First they came for Antifa and even though I am technically part of this group, I was not snatched.
Then they came for the Blacks and I stood up even though I was not Black, but because I was a Jew they ignored me.
Next, they came for the Autistics and this time I was snatched off the street and killed but no cared.
Then they came for the Hispanics but I could no longer stand up for them because I was already dead.
One last note on this. I continue to be infuriated by friends and family who tell me that if I keep my head down and stay quiet, I’ll be just fine. I wish they would try and say that to the 6 million Jews, 5.5 million Soviet Civilians, 3 million Soviet POW, 600 thousand Serbs, 270 thousand Disabled, 500 thousand Romani, 200 thousand Freemasons, 25 thousand Slovenes, 15 thousand Homosexuals, 3.5 thousand Spanish Republicans, and 5 thousand Jehovah Witnesses who were massacred. Why not stop spitting in my face and start trying to spit on their memory instead?
Coronavirus:
Oh and just in case you all forgot with all the other awful things happening in the world, Coronavirus is still surging. Worse, some of the places that thought their time with the pandemic was over are now seeing a resurgence. Assuming we all survive through it, this virus will continue to come after us for the rest of 2020.
I don’t know how to feel about the fact that so many Jews have already forgotten the Holocaust. I am sure they will be angry when they read that sentence. If so, I hope they become angry. Angry enough to realize they are on the wrong side of history. Angry enough to realize that Trump and his cronies will gladly slaughter their families when he is done manipulating them.
I have not forgotten.
The Positive:
Well that was heavy. Let’s move on the positive parts of my week. Don’t worry, the above is important enough to me that I will continue writing about and speaking up about as long as it takes to stop it.
Anime:
There are plenty of great Anime airing right now to keep me happy. Re: Zero is of course the main attraction. But Fire Force, Misfit of Demon King Academy, and The God of High School are also puling their weight.
Job:
My new job continues to bring me happiness. I’m overjoyed to be at least for now treated as a human being instead of just a faceless goon. The pay helps too. I have learned that the more you are paid, the better you are treated. Common sense I know, but I like stating it for those who have missed this crucial aspect of our culture.
Dungeons and Dragons:
One of my Dungeons and Dragons Campaigns did not happen this week. But that’s fine. Things happen and this pandemic is taking a toll on everyone. I’ll talk about the sessions that did happen.
Cycle of Millennia:
Cycle of Millennia featured the continued adventure through the Abyss. Dragons, Demons, Elementals, and even some poor Dark Elves used only as cannon fodder stood in their way. Everything that crossed the party’s path is dead.
Other Campaigns:
One of my unnamed campaigns fought against a money grubbing monster. But that was just warmup for the main event. The party encountered the Paladin Serial Killer that they hunted. She proceeded to break her oath and summon a mass of Undead. The group is looking like they are in trouble. Can they escape without joining the ranks of the dead themselves?
In the other campaign, the group did not get much time to recover after their encounter with an eldritch horror. Unfortunately, something beckoned to their Paladin friend and she dived right into a hole that filled the group with dread.
They returned to town to inform their allies of how this played out. But now they are forced to decide who to help first. Things only got more complicated when they went on a scouting mission. The group made the mistake of using magic in front of Vogatta Empire Soldiers. On their trip back, a mysterious group attacked the party. They belonged to a group called “The Path” and the party found a note on one of their corpses about a meeting.
The group made a hard choice about what to do next and choose to return to the Mage Tower. But what horrors await them there. That is, assuming they can even get inside.
Nuzlocke:
Well all the other stuff is out of the way. Let’s get to the main event of the blog post. Its Nuzlocke Time! Make sure to check out my Twitch Channel where you can watch the story unfold in real time.
Platinum Adventure Part 26:
I trained Mushroom and Dragonx..x until they were as strong as the rest of my party and then set out for Mount Coronet. This massive mountain loomed over Sinnoh and if Cyrus was going there, so was I.
The caves looked no different from before, but using my newly earned Rock Climb ability, I found a new part to explore. Eventually I came to a newly opened hole in the wall and was approached by that Looker fellow.
Once again he admitted that he was weak and was entrusting his hopes on a ten year old. Fool. If he was a real detective, he would have realized that this child was possessed by a malevolent force even more dangerous than Team Galactic.
Platinum Adventure Part 27:
Anyway, I moved passed him and up to the mountain prior. The snow was back and with it the hailstorms from the snow routes below. Team Galactic was also here trying to slow my down the best they could.
Amusingly, I encountered a few Absol on the way up the mountain. Did this Pokemon sense the impending danger and try to warn me? Didn’t matter to me. I was already scheming how to steal Dialga and Palkia away from Cyrus so that I could remake the universe in my image instead.
Finally, I reached the summit and shoved a couple more Galactic Grunts out of the way. However, before I could swat Mars and Jupiter out of the way as well, Dat Boi appeared and conspired to steal my thunder. I would have gladly taken the two Galactic Admins on by myself, but at least having an ally meant his Pokemon could serve as wonderful meat shields.
As expected Dat Boi was completely useless in battle. Well save for his Pokemon drawing attacks away from mine. The distraction allowed me to crush both Mars and Jupiter including their deadly Skuntank and Purugly.
Platinum Adventure Part 28:
But Cyrus like me was skilled at using others. While this battle had raged, he managed to use his red chains to summon both Dialga and Palkia. I smiled knowing that Cyrus had delivered the Pokemon of both time and space right into my hands.
Unfortunately those pesky Pixie Pokemon of Emotion showed up and threatened to ruin both my and his plans. Luckily, Dialga and Palkia together were far too powerful for the trio to stop. However, more surprises came and I sensed an angry presence.
Another powerful Pokemon, Giratina, the Pokemon of Antimatter chose to appear as well. I smiled realizing that all the powers of the cosmos now sat in front of me. It pulled Cyrus in to its distortion world, but left me alone. Such a foolish Pokemon. Ignoring the real threat and snatching the leader of Team Galactic instead.
I proceeded to follow them of course, only for Cynthia to also appear and join me. What did she want? If she decided to get in my way, I would swat her aside too.
Platinum Adventure Part 29:
Inside the Distortion World, gravity, time, and the laws of physics were out to lunch. Navigating this unusual universe served as an entertaining adventure. Amusingly, Giratina and the Emotion Trio decided to aid me in navigating this place. Fools all of them. They were leading me right to them.
At the very bottom of this complex, I met up with Cynthia again and found Cyrus standing in my way. He ranted about how he wanted to rule the entire multiverse as a God. I laughed at him internally. Couldn’t reveal the depths of truth to Cynthia after all. But I continued laughing and a chuckle escaped me since Cyrus was nothing more than a future slave when I became God.
I had high hopes for him initially, but he was too far gone and weak to use as a proper minion. So I battled him and would break him mentally before fulfilling his desires right before his eyes.
First he sent out Houndoom. Anti Rotom killed it in a single hit. Next came Gyarados. Mushroom zapped it with electricity. After came Crobat. Anti Rotom froze it. Next came Honchkrow. Anti Rotom ironically avenged Harbinger and froze it too. Last came Weavile. As the only one allowed to use such a Pokemon I sent his to the grave with Knuckles.
Platinum Adventure Part 30:
Utterly defeated Cyrus ranted about how upset he was. Cynthia tried to give him a reason you suck speech, but I ignored her cause what I was after was ahead. Giritina was waiting and my conquest of Sinnoh started as soon as the creature became mine.
So I stepped forward and Giritina of the Distortion World appeared before me. I didn’t waste time battling it. Instead, I simply threw the Master Ball that Cyrus had foolishly given me. I renamed it Dormammu to exert my dominance over it. Now all the Antimatter in the Universe was mine to command. Thank you Cyrus and Team Galactic for being a useful stepping stone.
Cynthia joined me, apparently not realizing the grave threat I posed to the universe as soon as I left this realm. Cyrus stayed behind, probably sensing that the world would soon learn the true meaning of fear. Or perhaps he lamented the fact that in the end, he was nothing more than a pawn. A pawn of a ten year old unless he had discerned the truth.
Anyway, I still needed Dialga and Palkia to complete my plans of universal domination. So I kept up appearances as I bid her farewell. Foolish woman. I caught Count Down the Chingling at Sendoff Spring, the entrance to Dormammu’s former home.
Platinum Adventure Part 31:
Next I continued towards the Pokemon League. Might as well become the champion before my conquest begins right? Route 222 was the most direct path there. I caught Carlin the Chatot on the way.
But before I entered Sunnyshore City, I decided to tie up some loose ends. The Pixie Trio had tried to interfere with Cyrus. I would not make the same mistake. So I needed to eliminate them.
First I hunted down Mespirit who ran away when I approached. Perhaps it sensed my malicious intent. Well if I dealt with the other two, this one wouldn’t be a problem.
Next I went to deal with Uxie. But I was in for a surprise. Perhaps tampering with spacetime had already yielded results. For this Pokemon appeared in its shiny form. That was too much of a prize to pass up. So I caught it instead. I renamed it Truth for soon I would be imposing my will on the world.
Platinum Adventure Part 32:
With two of the pixies accounted for, I hunted down and destroyed Azelf. The threat eliminated, I returned to Sunnyshore City and even added Truth to my team. It would serve as my herald. I found the last Gym and even ran into Flint of the Sinnoh Elite 4. He asked me to give Volkner an amazing battle. Well why would I disappoint?
After training my team appropriately, I entered the 8th Gym. I solved some annoying gear puzzles and then moved on to crushing Volkner and his Electric Pokemon. He claimed that it was the most amazing battle he had witnessed in some time. In reality it was a complete slaughter as Anti Rotom stomped his whole team into dirt.
With all 8 badges, I headed north towards the Pokemon League. On the way, I unexpectedly ran into Jasmine, the Steel Gym Leader in Johto. Unsure if I had encountered the same person or an alternate reality version of her, I simply accepted her gift, the HM Waterfall and moved on.
Platinum Adventure Part 33:
I crossed the ocean and finally reached a massive waterfall that would have barred my access but with my newly gained ability to climb this water structure I made it to the Pokemon League entrance.
Unfortunately, that just meant I had to get through another Victory Road. Such an annoying thing to have in every region. Anyway, I fought through and even caught Big Drill the Rhydon. But tragedy strikes when you are not counting on it. A Magnezone killed Knuckles and left me furious.
So furious was I at the loss of my friend that I went and grabbed Dormammu and let it rampage its way through the rest of Victory Road. I taught those trainers a lesson they will never forget. Also I might destroy them at the atomic level depending on my mood later.
After clearing my way to the Pokemon League proper, I prepared to crush these Pokemon trainers by empowering my own mons. Becoming league champion will make my conquest of Sinnoh much easier down the road.
Wrap Up:
Well its been an interesting week. Weird how the world is literally falling apart and yet I feel hopeful about my immediate future. I just hope that I don’t get kidnapped and killed right before I can finally make something of myself.
