Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Loch Haven Park South
After many delays, I finally found my way to a place I kept teasing on this blog. But due to the sheer number of things to explore, I split this park in two. Today I explored Loch Haven Park South.
Loch Haven Park South is half of a much larger complex. Divided in two by Princeton Street, this massive park includes museums, a science center and countless pieces of art work. Most of the art is on the side of the park I explored today.
Countless murals and interesting live works of art are on display in Loch Haven Park. I could have spent all day getting the perfect shots of each and every one. But if I did that, then readers would not be compelled to check out this park themselves. This blog tends to be a tease in this regard.
I choose to start my journey right where I stopped on the Urban Trail last time I was in the area. While the that path veers to the right and skirts only the outside of Loch Haven Park, I will not be going down that route again until I have fully documented this area.
Artwork to Fields:
Heading west towards Orange Avenue (State Road 527) Loch Haven Park South forgoes the many examples of spectacular artwork in favor of open fields. This is by no means a bad thing either. The natural surroundings posses their own beauty. One can see that care was taken to ensure that this area continues to remain in such a tranquil state.
The fact that one can come here for a quiet and relaxing day despite the sheer number of distractions within walking distance is quite impressive. Loch Haven Park has seemingly done something impossible. There is something for all ages here. Whether you want to explore art, see some museums, or have a quiet stroll, make sure to set this place as a destination.
As I reached the western side of Loch Haven Park South, I started going back to where I started. I choose to take a different route on my return trip. In doing so, I gained the opportunity to showcase a few spots I missed on the way there.
But that was not all. A few of the pictures managed to showcase areas across Princeton Street that will be fully explored when I return to Loch Haven Park. There is still roughly half of this area that I have not explored on this blog.
Pokemon Go:
I have talked at length about Loch Haven Park South and how much beauty there is to take in. But how does it measure up in Pokemon Go? The answer is both summed up and not summed up in the above image. There is a wild Whiscash in the image. While it is by no means a good Pokemon, it is very rare in the wild.
Loch Haven Park is honestly nothing short of incredible in game. There are tons of Pokestops and Gyms between both sides. The spawns are plentiful and there is at least one Pokemon Nest here as well (currently Chinchou). Between the artwork, science center, museums, and sheer number of spawns, I cannot stress enough just how incredible of a location Loch Haven Park is. Make sure to come here! It is one of the most interesting places I have explored thus far.
This adorable critter decided to join me as I walked around Loch Haven Park South. I wonder what I will hatch next?
There is still half of this park left to explore. I am eager to see what I will find when I return to check this place out again. Hopefully you, yes you who reads this blog are as well.
