Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Arcadia Acres Park
After a lot of exploration, I finally reached the last park on the Little Econ Trail. Arcadia Acres Park however was just a little stop on the final leg of said trail.
Do not be fooled by the fact that I spent most of my time away from Arcadia Acres Park. There is plenty to see and do here. From soccer fields, to basketball courts, space is plenty. If you are looking for a field to play with family and friends, look no farther. However, there is a sign warning that pets are not permitted in the larger fields.
Back to the Trail:
I left Arcadia Acres Park behind and continued down the last leg of the Little Econ Trail. This narrow strip here goes between two different neighborhoods. Sadly, there is little to show since I felt uncomfortable taking pictures of people’s yards.
By this point, whatever this unnamed river is actually called had been reduced to a simple drainage canal. Perhaps it does not have a name at all?
When I arrived here, I initially assumed that the trail had finally reached its end. After all, Goldenrod Road (State Road 551) is a major street and it would be quite dangerous to cross it. However, the city planners were far ahead of me. The stoplight pictured above creates a safe place to cross. The trail continued and I was dead set and seeing this through.
After passing Goldenrod Road, and leaving Arcadia Acres Park far away from my path, I reached the real end of the trail. This final segment went through a neighborhood. It has been a while since I blogged while in this type of environment. Come to think of it, the last time I did was when I started this blog I think.
The true end of Little Econ Trail is at Forsyth Road. I felt foolish that I had forgotten this fact since a few years back I rode my bike across most of Orlando and knew where this trail ended. I will not be doing that journey again on foot, so don’t wait for me to write about it.
Pokemon Go:
Here is Arcadia Acres Park as well as a small part of the Little Econ Trail in Pokemon Go. In the distance, Econ Park, my last destination is visible. This showcases how close the two locations are to each other. This entire area turned out to be one giant Pokemon Nest from where Blanchard Park ended all the way until Forsyth Road.
While this is certainly not a bad place to play Pokemon Go, with multiple Pokestops, and even a few Gyms to battle at, Blanchard Park is much better. However, if the nest Pokemon ends up being something you need, then Arcadia Acres Park as well as the other areas connected to it, are worth a visit. At the time of writing, the nest is Chimchar, but that will be changing soon.
All hail our lord and savior! Slowpoke the Antichrist! The number of the beast be thy name! Just kidding, this Slowpoke was not even that strong, so I immediately got rid of it after it hatched. Sounds like the best way to deal with a rejected Demon to me.
My adventures around Blanchard Park and the Little Econ Trail are at an end. But this simply means I have no idea where I will go next. Look forward to whatever I find next.
