Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: William J Manzo Memorial Park
I was back in Titusville and found another park to explore. William J Manzo Memorial Park made up for what it lacked in size with plenty to see. Located off US 1 and bordering the Indian River, one can get a beautiful view of the Kennedy Space Center as well as be tricked into thinking they are looking at the Atlantic Ocean.
Before I even entered William J Manzo Memorial Park, I saw this sign. I am pleased by Titusville’s effort to keep the parks clean. This an especially worthy effort after what happened with the hurricanes that devastated the beachfront.
The majority of William J Manzo Memorial Park consists of playgrounds and chairs to sit in. The mostly shaded park is a perfect place to relax while escaping the harsh Florida sun. I happened to come here while it was raining outside and got to see this place while completely empty. Though I imagine, given the location that it has many visitors under the right conditions.
I stood on the pier at the edge of William J Manzo Memorial Park and did my best to snap an image of the distant Kennedy Space Center. If you squint, it is visible near the very center of the picture. And remember, that is not the Atlantic Ocean pictured above. That is actually the Indian River which is filled with brackish, rather than salt water.
Pokemon Go:
Here is William J Manzo Memorial Park in Pokemon Go. What it lacks in large size, it makes up for with many other features. The spawns in this tiny space are frequent. Before I snapped this picture, I spent many minutes catching all the spawns, some of which were rare mons such as Finneon.
That is not all though. While there is only a single Pokestop alongside a lone Gym, there is one important reason to visit this park. That gym is an Ex Raid Capable location. For those looking to get Deoxys, or whatever the EX Raid Pokemon becomes in the future, make sure to complete a raid battle here if possible.
Considering that the park right next door also has an EX Raid Gym, as I discovered on my visit there, I recommend checking out both locations should you visit Titusville. Both parks are right near Kennedy Space Center, the most visible tourist attraction in the area.
The night after my adventures, I managed to hatch a Stunky. Since this past Halloween, I have rarely seen this Pokemon. It was a welcome hatch.
I plan on finishing up my adventure around the Little Econ River soon. Look forward to that as well as wherever my travels may take me.
