Timelost Storytelling: Events Happening in March

Admin/ March 10, 2019/ Newsletters

Hello Readers, Fans, Dark Fantasy Enthusiasts, and Very Brave Souls! This is the March Edition of my Newsletter.

This newsletter is a day late.  Even worse, Daylight Savings Time has stolen an hour of my life.  I will have to wait quite a few more months to get it back. However, none of those things are what caused my tardiness.  I’ll explain all about it next!

Dark Fantasy is in contrast to High Fantasy, the more stereotypical flavor of this genre. In High Fantasy, Magic is a wonderful thing taught to wizards safely in schools made for this purpose.  Society may suffer conflict, but minus the drive in the story, the world tends to be a fairly stable place. In Dark Fantasy the Magic is dangerous if not worse, society is crumbling assuming its not already at a dystopian state, and there is a general sense of despair and hopelessness that fills the world showcased in the medium.

Its March and that means plenty of time to write and ultimately make my fictional characters suffer in new cruel and unusual ways. I got a chance to be on a panel yesterday talking about the differences between Horror and Fantasy.  It went far better than I could have ever dreamed.

Happening in March

I am working on turning not one, but two Dungeons and Dragons Campaigns into multiple fully fleshed out Novellas.  One is titled: Cycle of Millennia and the other is titled: Centrum Glacies

The first novella in Cycle of Millennia only requires some minor cleanup as well as a well done cover.  Once those arrangements are complete, I will finally have another published novel(la) for you all to read.  Look forward to that!

I completed Kingdom Hearts 3.  Perhaps I should blame it on waiting so long for this game but… I felt empty at the end.  While I certainly enjoyed my time with the game, I was largely disappointed when the game was completed.  Was the whole game awful? As If!

Anthologies:

I am a featured writer in Demonic Household: See Owner’s Manuel.  I worked with an incredibly talented team of writers to contribute a story to this novel.  The mastermind behind this Anthology is Valerie Willis

I am also a featured writer in Thrill of the Hunt: Urban Legends Re-imagined.  As with the other anthology above, the group of writers collaborating here is filled with talent. The mastermind behind this Anthology is LE Perez

Article Updates
Articles I have written are available on Bentobyte

Travel Blog

Though my website has been mentioned many times, I want to call special attention to my Travel Blog. Combining my love of Pokemon Go with wanting to see the world has created an endless supply of inspiration. I have explored many parks around the Orlando area as well as a few in Titusville, Florida.

Patreon

I kept announcing that it would happen, and I finally pushed the publish button. Here is my Patreon in all its glory.  I have huge ambitions and this is one of the early steps in achieving them.  Any help I receive is extremely valuable at this stage in the game.

Twitch and Youtube

I now have an increasingly active Twitch and Youtube Channel.  Though I do not use these mediums to write, I draw much of my inspiration from the video games I play.  I hope I am entertaining as well.  Take a look and subscribe if my content there strikes your fancy as well.

Fantasy and Sci Fi Reader’s Lounge:

The Fantasy and Sci Fi Readers Lounge continues to have theme events.  Even when I am not actively presenting, I continue to check out the sheer amount of talent. The events can all be found here.  Meet tons of authors and get a chance to win books by participating!

Panelist at Winter Park Library Book Festival:

I passed a significant benchmark in my writing career

About Me And What I’ve Been Up To

Don’t worry, I won’t spoil Kingdom Hearts 3 with this video too much.  However, this fight ended up being one of my favorite in the game and I wanted to showcase it.

Moving past Kingdom Hearts after some legitimate burnout, I moved on to Final Fantasy 5.  This fight stands as one of my favorite in the entire series.  I won’t spoil why.  You will have to watch it to find out.

Many have played Final Fantasy and are familiar with Gilgamesh.  This is the fight that propelled him to being so well known in the first place.
