Timelost Storyteller November Newsletter

Admin/ November 9, 2018/ Newsletters

Hello Readers, Fans, Dark Fantasy Enthusiasts, and Very Brave Souls! This is the November Edition of my newsletter.

Its November and that means NaNoWrimo is in full swing.  I am taking a break from writing The Messiah of Nightmares to work on Earth Everafter, another series that is completely separate from the other set of stories I have published.  I also participated in a Dark Fantasy Pitch Wars on Twitter and had an Agent interested in one of my pitches.  I will let you all know what happens with that when I find out more.  Lastly, it was my brother’s wedding earlier this month.  I want to give a shoutout to my brother Scott on now being happily married to his

Dark Fantasy is in contrast to High Fantasy, the more stereotypical flavor of this genre. In High Fantasy, Magic is a wonderful thing taught to wizards safely in schools made for this purpose.  Society may suffer conflict, but minus the drive in the story, the world tends to be a fairly stable place. In Dark Fantasy the Magic is dangerous if not worse, society is crumbling assuming its not already at a dystopian state, and there is a general sense of despair and hopelessness that fills the world showcased in the medium.

Because I continue to be asked what Dark Fantasy is exactly and as a result of me deeming the paragraph above to be a strong explanation, I have elected to continue leaving this in the newsletter.

Happening in November
The End of Utopia, Book 1 in the Search for Eden Series is nearly complete.  Edits continue on the next book in the Search for Eden Series.

I continue to have articles published on Odyssey Online.  I have gotten the chance to expand on different topics and whatnot.

I will be working nightly on completing the next book in the Search For Eden Series: The Messiah of Nightmares. My hope is to get The End of Utopia and its sequel novel published in rapid succession.

I am now working on the first draft of Earth Everafter.  I intend to complete this draft during NaNoWrimo.  In this month of writing, I plan on writing 50,000 words towards that novel and completing it.

Anthology Updates
Editing continues on my own Anthology titled “Twisting Told Tales” My goal is to have almost everything squared away by the end of the month.

I am a featured writer in Demonic Household: See Owner’s Manuel.  I worked with an incredibly talented team of writers to contribute a story to this novel.  The mastermind behind this Anthology is Valerie Willis

I am also a featured writer in Thrill of the Hunt: Urban Legends Re-imagined.  As with the other anthology above, the group of writers collaborating here is filled with talent. The mastermind behind this Anthology is LE Perez
