Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Turnbull Park

Admin/ March 10, 2019/ Travel

While completing tasks to get a job offer at Terracotta Shopping Center, I saw a park nearby in Pokemon Go. Wanting to see what Turnbull Park was, I went and checked it out after completing my tasks for the day.

Turnbull Park features a playground at the front. While this is nothing new, I finally had a chance to properly snap images of such a park without children at play. As I have stated many times on this blog, I try to avoid having people in my photos without their consent. This goes double for children who cannot legally consent to such things at all.

Far more interesting to me than the playground, was what else this park had to offer. Turbull Park has a walking trail that loops past some open space. I snapped some photos near the other end to see where this place was located.

The fact that Semoran Boulevard (State Road 436) is right on the other side of this fence, served as an important reminder. The reason I explore the world is because I realized I was missing so much of what was near me. I pass by this park almost every day. If not for this travel blog and Pokemon Go, I would have completely missed it.

Pokemon Go:

Here is Turnbull Park in Pokemon Go. While there is a Pokestop and a Gym right at the entrance, I want to call something notable to attention. Visible in this image are multiple Pokemon Raids. These are outnumbered by even more Pokestops.

For those wondering what is on the other side of this park, that is Terracotta, the place I mentioned before. Considering that there is so much more to do on that side of Semoran Boulevard than here in the park, I am gonna give this one a hard pass for those wanting to play Pokemon Go and not see a park.

While neither of these Pokemon hatched while I was exploring Turbull Park, I still included them in this adventure. The flower on Eevee’s head is because of a special event happening in Pokemon Go right now. The Slowpoke this time around was not as amusing as the Demon one I hatched a few weeks back.

I intend to finish off exploring Lake Underhill Path. Assuming I don’t discover more detours, that should be my next adventure.
