Exploring the World With Pokemon Go: Chaney Heights Park

Admin/ February 17, 2019/ Travel

Back in Orlando, I saw a little path way while driving around and completing errands. Thus I discovered Chaney Heights Park after walking past a no trespassing sign. Luckily I did not actually break any laws since the sign was referring to a nearby fenced off lake and not the path I took.

Chaney Heights Park is more of a walking path than an actual park. Perhaps the fenced off area was part of this park at some point, but now it is off limits. From what I understand of infrastructure, I think the area in the fence off part is connected to waste water treatment.

Still even with this place being limited to a zigzagging walking path, it was still a peaceful experience. Sometimes even I need some peace and quiet to brainstorm. Catching Pokemon all the way through was an extra bonus.

Here is a photo of the area that is closed off. Chaney Heights Park serves this area without intruding on this lake. I imagine as stated above that this is a drainage area and it is probably best that people don’t get too close to that water.

One other notable feature of Chaney Heights Park is the basketball court pictured above. I suppose I lied when I said there was only a walking path. Admittedly, while I am on the subject of truth, there were also branching paths that connected the multiple neighborhoods outside the park.

Pokemon Go:

Here is Chaney Heights Park in Pokemon Go. Sadly there is not a single Pokestop here. I would recommend going elsewhere if going to play Pokemon Go specifically. While there are Pokemon that spawn here, the lack of stops makes this an easy pass.

I hatched this Bellsprout while I was on my way to finding this park. I did a lot of travel recently so this was inevitable. Who knows where I will go next? Stay tuned to find out where I will be.
